Still have mine purchased in 1983 and it still has great voices.
Excellent video - lots of fun. Miss my Delta - bought it in 1980. I hired a technician to customize mine with two more knobs for additional modulation waveforms. I think one knob selected the waveforms and the second knob controlled the modulation intensity. Had to sell it in 1989 because I needed money to buy an Apple Imagewriter Printer. I'd buy that hot rod Delta back in a heartbeat.
I'm in the middle of sorting out my Korg Delta. I've fixed the "missing notes" problem, next up is the "filter only works on bandpass". So this video shows me exactly how it SHOULD sound. Excellent!
NerveJam.Com I've got the same filter problem on mine, have you figured anything out?
Thanks so much for this awesome video, Mitchell!
Hey, thanks for this great video of the always underestimated Delta. This really encourages me cranking the knobs/sliders of my Delta again. It was my first synth I got in the late 80s for 80,- DM from a friend. The Delta can move worlds with some FX, and I would never give it away. Thanks again and best regards from Germany, Martin
Terrific demonstration. Nice to hear your voice too, it's been a while.
Excellent run down man!
Thanks!
great demo. The korg mono/poly works about the same way with the retrigger mode.
W the Super Synth Friday!!!
never heard about additive Synthesis?! ;-)
Ok. it's a very simple structure on the Delta, and additive Synthesis would use sinewaves...but it goes in that direction with his 4 Signal Generators.the Inputs on the back of the Delta are pretty cool. it makes it to a very cool sort of Trigger-Arpeggiator while playing chords...and with filtermodulations...it's an amazing sounding machine!
The Delta could be heard in almost every song by the Flock of Seagulls.
..and the Ms-10 and Ms-20
lost my Korg Delta in a car fire 20 something years ago
Boy how I used to drool over one of these in Electronic and music maker magazine here in England. only £520 new.at the time for a polysynth seemed a bargain. But unfortunately, £520 too much for me. Great demo, but I won't be adding to my collection At todays secondhand price, I could get a much better synth.Xeems very limited, didn't like the strings.
Nice! So strictly speaking, what's the maximum polyphony on this beauty?
endless, its a string-synth. its got full poly
49 notes if you really want to get nerdy about it. :)
