Another new for 2023 Tampa area RV resort....Surf RV Resort, located in Palmetto, FL....close to St Pete Beach, Siesta Key Beach, Anna Maria Island, etc. Very fancy, very nice.
My company did all the grading and pavers!! We are on video still finishing up!! Working super hard to finish! I’m so happy to read the comments and how people are enjoying our hard work. We worked hard!!
You guys killed it on the pavers, and im a local so i know how hard it is to find quality work around these parts. Post your company name and website!
👍👍👍❤😀
Wow. That’s super fancy!
It's Beautiful❤😮😊😊😊😊
These are the kinds of campgrounds that end up falling apart and they start off by demolishing everything and making a concrete mess. And pricing is crazy. These prices are on par to Fort Wilderness pricing but at least you have trees, trails and a state park feel. But it's what's expected for most new campgrounds these days, especially when they cater to 55 plus and expensive rvs. Either way thanks for showing us options.
Awesome, Like 👍👍👍
glad you like !
Picnic tables should be provided.
I agree with you, but was told 'this is a resort, not a campground'. Theres another 'resort' (Key Lime) near is in Oldsmar FL, that wheels them out. I thought that was smart.
Glad to see that nothing has changed in Florida. Remove the shade trees and plant palm trees instead. Go figure.
It will be much nicer once the yree mature. I never quite understand the pleasure of camping basically in a concrete parking lot..."resort or campground".
I totally agree with the your picnic table train of thought. I also like being able to build a fire at my spot but that's going away too.
it takes those trees a REALLY long time to grow. If you've popped over to Resorts at Canopy Oaks or Cabana Club, theres still no shade. And yes, its nice to build your own fire. We have to have a propane firepit for places like this....i really think these are geared towards longer term snowbirds, or year round stays for the camping rich. For a RV 'resort', it's nice....just not for everyone.
Jennifer,
I can understand the resorts reason for not supplying picnic tables. I can understand also why they do not have fire pits. As a resort picnic tables will draw much undeserved treatment such as oil or food stains even if you use tablecloths, there's always spillage and resources for cleaning out firings. Manpower required to clean the sights other than cleaning picnic tables and fire rings and ashes, of the sort. As a resort I think they're kind of wanting to keep it as cleanly as possible and they offer areas in the campgrounds for sitting around an old fire pit and outdoor picnicking under gazebos and the like. Then if one chooses to camp in a wooded type of RV campground rather than a resort to experience the rustic feel and outdoor experience, there are those type of campgrounds that offer that type of experience.
Johnny boy
@@johnny3agm agree with this. 100% different 'STYLE' of camping between resorts and state or county parks. Personally, we always have a little table, but I would prefer a 6 or 9 foot picnic table on site. Interestingly enough....the other new Tampa area RV resort....Key Lime.....they have trex like picnic tables, but 'by request', so they are not left out to get mucked and nasty, but stored in a covered/enclosed area, and easily wheeled out to each site when requested.
@@johnny3agm also picnic tables are a liability.....
It’s just a sea of concrete. No picnic tables?….that’s crazy. Even the most luxurious Rv parks without tiki huts provide that. In ten years it probably will be pretty.
Totally agree, and if you watched the vid, you can tell how miffed I was at not having picnic tables. Thankfully, we had two camping style tables to use.
Great looking RV resort. Unfortunately, this resort is not family-friendly, only 55 +. The amenities remind me a little of Margaritaville RV resort in Auburndale Florida.
Similar to Resorts at Canopy Oaks as well.
55+ is done for a reason. I am surprised this RV resort is not Class A only, too.
How much?
@@marilyncruz6918I checked it out last year and I believe full time year round leases were $2400 per month plus metered electricity. Shorter terms were even more. As you first entered it was all high end class A motor homes. Nice lots but no real shade and not very big for the money. I’d buy a deeded spot or go sticks and bricks for that kind of money.
It’s so odd that they don’t have picnic tables. For the prices, you’d think they’d have enough staff for keeping them clean or whatever they think the issue is.
I would call it lagoon
Island Oaks is so much better ......see ya!
that is a totally different area of FL.
picnic tables make for liability which leads to lawsuits. I would not put tables in a park and most people have their own stuff.
$100/night is the discounted summer Florida resident price. So I'm guessing just under $200 in season. Is there any discount for weekly or monthly booking?
Best to call them bud. I don't work there or for them, I just did the video tour to help others.
I checked the price for year round rental last November.Ready???? $2600 per month plus metered electric. Didn’t even bat an eye. Said thank you and moved on. Mostly high end class As parked in front then. It was literally brand new at the time.
@@LittleHouseofBeans
What are the prices?
I googled the contact page for you, so you may call them (I dont work there) - thesurfrvresort.com/contact-us/
So, what are their rates? They don't post their rates on the WEB so I think I can guess that they are high. LOL
best to call. I had booked 6 months in advance for just that weekend, so I'm certain the pricing has changed. It will be expensive, but some folks dont mind, and probably folks can never find anything in FLA to spend their weekends, thus they put aside those prices because.....no snow! lol
@@LittleHouseofBeans Yes, it has been pretty warm here in Maine, but the snow ruins it. lol
Hi new subcribers here ,what is the rate per night on that resort ?
at the time we booked, which was the first weekend they opened, it was around 125 per night. unfortunately, it looks like you have to call them for current pricing (which we cant stand). i could not find pricing on their website.
Most luxury rv resort do not have picnic table
understand that (also the other three in our area do), but at the time of our booking, there was no mention of it. I have not checked their website or booking details since we went, perhaps they have rectified that little tid bit.
When you allow different types of RVs, the campground will become undesirable with time. Picnic tables will be used to place their sewer hose as a placeholder and a table for their grill stand that will eventually be burned down.
No picnic tables? I'm out.
can't say we blame you !
RV trailers, I am out too.
No dog, no pet??
There is no RV Resort on the planet worth the price of this place but they'll get it. There's a lot of people with more money than they know what to do with that Daddy left them so before too long their arrogance and entitlement will ruin this resort just like so many others have been ruined.
tell us how you really feel !!!
@@LittleHouseofBeans I did. Try to keep up.
I put in for 2 nights and was 438.00 I ask if that was for month 😂😂😂
very expensive. did you wind up booking it? @@albertschneider5978
are there rv parks in Florida where you can buy a spot to park a camper? if so how do i find em?
Wow, $4,500 a month... what a bargain
we have not been back, but that's also not our style of camping. I suspect however those coming from the north to escape the cold will find themselves at places like this. Something for everyone !
