Some of the BEST Luxury RV Campgrounds are down near the Gulf, and this new Tropic Hideaway RV Resort in Foley, Alabama near Gulf Shores did not disappoint! Concrete pads, two beautiful pools, pickleball courts, and gorgeous landscaping all make for a really nice RV Resort stay, and a great vacation! Orange Beach and Foley is a perfect spot for this new campground! Just minutes to the beach, and so many things to do in Gulf Shores. We loved it and will definitely be back!

We were in Foley for January and February. We drove through here. Very expensive compared to other options in the area. Very well laid out park.
The Foley Beach Express toll bridge was recently purchased by the State of Alabama. It will be a no toll bridge starting on May 24th. Win Win for everyone. Welcome to Foley.
Well that’s pretty cool! Didn’t know that. $5 each way seemed high. But it sure was less crowded than Gulf Shores Pkwy!

We stay at Pirates Cove Rrrrv resort. Great people and price. Had together a spot for long term
First time seeing your channel. I'm in "new to us camper mode" as we pick up our first toyhauler June 1st and watching camping vids and this one popped up. We have camped most of our lives and in our 50's now so grandkids are now in the mix and we needed more room and I want to take my Harley so we finally traded for the TH. That place looks amazing. Hopefully we will get down there someday from northern Pa. Enjoyed your vid and I stayed and watched til the end with your parents. Lol Look forward to checking out your other vids.

This looks nice! My mom and grandma live in Foley, and I'm considering just taking my camper down the next time I visit. And the rather than staying at Gulf State Park (which is amazing itself), but I could just actually camp closer to them in Foley! This spot looks nice and great rates! Great video!

Looks fun, been a decade since I've been to Gulf Shores but we loved a drink and dinner at Cobalt. They have Sunday brunch, if you want to get out. I'm not the biggest Mojito guy but the pineapple mojito was perfect watching the boats. The comment I made about butter on the Nasheville video happened at Gluf Shores. Lamberts was a bit of a tradition after the outlets going into town, checking in a bit late, easy drive from Atlanta. I've always heard Foh (oh lee) for Foley from the Alabama side of the family, War Eagle for them even if I'm a UGA fan.
Haha! Yes we remember the butter comment! We took a catamaran (coming up in the next video which was really peaceful and nice. We love the Gulf! ) and I do think you’re correct it’s Fo-ley. I think Fah-ley would have two L’s ? Lol anyway, we love that area!

Great video I might have to stay and check it out. I live about 45 minutes from Foley. Pronounced Fo-Lee Yeah I remember in high school we would go to the beach all the time. I don’t really go that much anymore it’s crowded and nothing but buildings everywhere. I remember the dunes on the beach and you could ride dune buggies on the sand. I think it has grown to big and all the fun has been taken out of the beach or what I remember as old family fun. Well if someone has been there it is a great experience and a lot to do and we have pretty white sand. Great video keep it up and now for another cup of coffee. Stay safe and God bless
Yeah, Fo-ley makes better sense. This place is really nice, we’ll definitely come back because we love this area! I can see how as a local it would feel too touristy, but as tourists, we think it’s one of the more laid back beach destinations. Well not really down by the Hangout, but other beach access areas seem to be less crowded. I bet the dune buggies were a blast! FYI - Foley Beach Express is now toll free (May 2024) That was an arrangement the state made years ago and they paid a lump sum to end the arrangement. Nice video, first time viewer.

They might want to check their online reservation system to make sure its working correctly. I tried to book a space online on 6/05 for 06/07/24 thru 06/14/24 and it said it didn't have any available spaces for that period. However, I drove thru this place late in the afternoon on 6/08 and found the place with a lot of empty spaces. Drove thru there again on 6/13 and still less than 50% full, so I'm not sure how there weren't available lots when i tried to book online. It did look like a very nice place to stay though. I thought the prices were higher than Im use to, but this is in a high vacation area and competitive with the other resorts in the area, especially with how nice the place looked. Just dissapointed that the online reservation system availability didnt seem to match what looked over 50% empty both days that i drove thru.

It's actually located in Conway SC, and it changed the name to sun outdoors Myrtle Beach. Yes, very quiet, huge water park and very clean. Myrtle is about 10-20 mins away.

FYI the Foley Beach express toll will no longer charge money. the charge will end in the month of may 2024. the toll road was privately owned but the state purchased it and will no longer charge a fee to use

Probably empty because of the price, I fish in Gulf Shores several times a year. I always stay in a cheap hotel I book on Hotwire. Businesses down there think they can charge anything they want & dumba** tourists will pay it (excuse my language) & a lot of em’ do but I think the economy is changing pretty rapidly now.
Oh yeah there’s plenty of cheaper places to stay, we’re sure. But I guess we would fall into that dumbass tourist category because we like the nicer amenities. 😂😜🤷🏻♀️ For as much as we’ve camped, we thought their prices were very reasonable for what their campground offers. We’ve had a big pusher and stayed in many lux RV resorts that were crazy high. This is right up our comfort alley ☺️
Bama Beach Bums are crap!! The way that group treated Camera Man Ron was disgusting.
