@@1neviewI think the furnace golems are actually fun. Figuring out the strat and timing is a challenge. The guardian cats were obnoxious as regular enemies in the later dungeons. Just my opinion though. Hope you're enjoying the game as much as I am. :)

Been subbed for a long time and my sphincters still pucker every time I see Cowboy pull up his equip menu to swap weapons in the MIDDLE of a boss fight... legend.
You should see some high level Elden ring pvp videos. Those guys will swap whole load outs as they’re dodging another players attacks. It’s actually crazy.

@@SF49ss I’m getting my Level 310 into the DLC. The +10 Hand of Malenia will be in full effect for that playthrough. I’m sticking with my +10 Bloodhound’s Fang for this one.

That enemy at 23:33 with the glowing rock on his back, I killed him from a distance using the Discus of Light incantation. Every time the disc would return right through him, it would hit him in the back. It took quite a few shots, but it worked.
Ok so far u missed a couple things.
If u summon redmane freya then she will have dialog. Forget if u really get anything. She kind of tells u about the other guy
The other guy with freya will take the scorpion soup and give u a visage for it.
In the encampment on the same side as the cook book, there is a red flame on the ground inside a tent and it’s called the “ember of Messmer”
Just to save ppl some time, the ember is in the tent to the right of the cookbook tent at 3:30. Gotta walk around a bit to enter.
why are there so many pointless upgrade mats in this dlc like i could care less for all these smithing 1s and 2s

Not entirely people playing the game for the first time will benefit greatly from them just because you're on ng+8 with tons of hours put into the game doesnt mean others do hell i like em cuz i switched from xbox to ps5 and lost all the hours and grind to get everything in the game so i didnt have the miner and somber miner bell bearings 🤷♂️
@@qlrevan4116 you can get these from the miner bell bearings though and I haven’t played a ng+ yet only beat it once and finishing the dlc now.
@@qlrevan4116 I never started a NG+ yet. I completed the base game working on the dlc now. Just doesn’t feel very rewarding for exploring. If it wasn’t for these walkthroughs i wouldn’t waste my time on these mats.
It’s for people who on new playthroughs don’t want to go all the way to farum azula to get the bell bearings before playing the dlc just to upgrade weapons. I appreciate them personally

I’m late to the party but this DLC IS NOT hard if you play it right. Go for all the scadutree fragments and revered spirit ashes and make use of Spirit summons when it gets too tuff. Remember this DLC, Miyazaki, it’s entire theme, as well as the mechanics ENCOURAGE you to use Spirit summons if your under levelled(if you don’t have max scadutree and revered ashes).
Always play once with cowboy helping out then I go to ng7 on my own. Did it with sekiro , Demon souls , Bloodborne, and now this . Thanks man keep it up.

In one of the tents just at the start of the video there is Ember of Messmer crafting item - but looking at wiki you can farm them elsewhere as well.

This was a pretty fun catacombs to go through, that forge area...not to bad on my first visit, got lost for a little bit but managed to make it though it. so far I'm liking this DLC!
And those big stone enemies in the forge can be stunlocked with a charged heavy hit. Do a backstab then repeat.

One of the things I hate about this game is summons AI if you are ranged. Bloody thing spends half the fight running back to where you are. Bah
Fun fact I haven't tested with any other armor yet but for sure with the briar armor at least one piece I'm assuming but for sure just dodging into those jumping imps knocks them down
Thanks for the walkthrough cowboy! Also quick tip, if you fall into the lava you don’t have to retry the jump you can just run up to the side at the bottom and jump on it.

Just beat the dlc for the second time , by far my favorite dlc from soft has ever released
How? Just running straight to legacy dungeons? I've only beaten 2 bosses after 20 hours. I'm trying to see the whole map at least once, and its packed. Every turn leads me to some new area.
@@Based_investor no I played for borderline 2 days straight , the first play through I found every single thing I could find and explored every single bit , picked up everything (used a sword and shield build ) second play through I just went for bosses to try new rememberances

For the Black Knight, I used Lhutel the Headless. Every time he tried the grab on him, he just phased out of the way.
Relic sword does the trick with distance, on the catacomb dark knight with the twin ⚡️ axes
You missed talking to the npcs after the Lions battle. You can give the stew to one of them por example.
How tf do you make that jump? I even took off my armour and still can't get onto that beam.
Okay, it turns out you could climb done the ladder and jump up the right edge lip.

If you can’t make the jump to the pipe, you can climb up the side of the pipe instead

@ 24:00 those trolls eyes are in their lower back and they have wrap over their eyes. Gives me heavy inspiration of Zelda logic with a souls monster haha
Stuttering problem fix: Nvidia control panel, 3D settings, global settings, shaders cache, unlimited cache, save. Then go to the next tab , add Elden Ring run file, set V-sync to Fast, save. Enjoy no stutters.
I do have to say, those twin axes look awesome with the Crucible Axe Armor
your build is good, the problem is your suck weapons, your only good weapons are dual bolt of gransax, where is the godslayer greatsword? dual coded swords? dual magma swords? blasphemous blade? my build is also sl200+ and i own much more weapons , im at 70 dex and 70 faith, and my dual bolt of gransax does inmense damage , same as blasphemous sword (890ar with scadurtree only at level 2 upgrade)
70 dex and 70 faith is the way to go , you has the best of two worlds , 70 dex for fast spell cast , and 70 faith for dex-faith weapons like godslayer greatsword, bolt of gransax, coded swords, blasphemous blade
im enjoying the game so much with my sl225 70 dex & faith build (ng+)
the divine beast talisman buffs the aow, but it also buffs other aow's and spells with "storm" in the name (both versions of zamor ice storm, stormcaller, etc). it also stacks with godfrey icon, shard of alexander, magic scorpion charm, the beast helm, and rogier's set. slap it on clayman's harpoon and you have a very solid aoe for int builds that'll flinch smaller enemies, and if the aow doesn't proc frost, an extra poke or two for resistant enemies will do the job. it makes for a great melee sidearm for cast builds with low equip weight
The hatchet does seem to be a guarantee drop from that imp, I got it first time

The big guys in the forge feel like they were designed to use the backhand blades on, maybe im wrong but they were pretty easy to beat with that particular weapon with the small of the back being the weak point.
Does the ending from elden ring effect your DLC play through? Does Ranni show up? Does the enemies all become some kind of dung eater?
The dlc happens before the ending of the game
Ever notice how all the Marika statues in the Land of Shadow have been decapitated? Seems she's not a popular person in this place she once called home, but I've yet to come across any lore bits explaining the actual reasons why. Unless I missed it.

The Anvil Hammer was my NUKE for my 1st play of the DLC. Very deadly and reliable. But, it's ugly.

While wearing the lion head and taking to the women nothing happens. Even quoting and coming back into the game nothing. Any ideas?
I ran through an area, then checked the walkthrough, only to realize I missed 50% of the loot in that section.
Did not know stone sword can be found in this dungeon at all and did not even know they can be turned into black & white 😂

Imps are the reason I started using a colossal greatsword 😂
Using a shield and guard countering complete trivializes them. They hit, it bounces off, you guard counter, then they're poise broken with very little health. EZ

Been dreading the forge. I started a new character to see how fast i could get to dlc, i just got to the capital. Just ran i n and grabbed mohgs shackle but nothing else. Anyways a arc/dex build usinf elonors poleblade. Its not gonna touch those forge guys. Always windered why they kept giving smithing stones, well now i know. Inky have ball bearing 2 for both types. Thar parr sucks.
I soloed Death Knight and it’s a much tougher proposition.
His standard attacks are moderate and easy to avoid, but his lightning attacks - particularly his charging AoE one is sometimes a nightmare to dodge.
But that life drain is absolutely soul destroying, especially when you have him with a small sliver remaining, maybe 10-15% of his HP left and he unleashed that attack, completely deflating me. This happened to me at least 3 times. 😫
I’ve never been so frustrated with a boss in some time.
Struggled with the big stone guys, switched to wing of Astel, worked a lot better for me
do you know how to get the rock throw spell that bounces back that the sorcerers use in the catacomb?

How to you make the move at 21:58 ? I have the weapon, but I can only do the thunder dash but after that it's not slashing like you ? How does he do that ???
Heavy attack after. Make sure you carefully read skill descriptions a lot of them have follow-ups that aren't immediately apparent

I have died in these damn catacombs more than anywhere in the base or dlc so far. I beat Melania 1st try just about every game now, but for some reason I keep dying to the dumbest shit in these catacombs. My death count here has to be over 20, and I haven't even gotten past the 10-minute mark yet.
After that boss battle in belurat you can get some new dialogue from the NPCs at 3 pass cross and if you give the scorpion stew to the mummy looking NPC he will give you a reward.
So idk if its a patch or something, but a str/int build with falling star beast jaw is op rn with its stagger, two normal hits if its a weaker enemy, or three if its a bit stronger, and two heavy hits for stronger enemies, and that black night couldn't even move with its ash of war, I've been using it since the giant Brazier, and its honestly unfair to common enemies, plus sorceries for bosses while your mimic tear aggros them is them is a lot easier, even tho they focus on you as soon as you hit them, so I still recommend a medium shield
I guess the death knight knows the mimic is fake, it keeps ignoring it completely. I had to summon Ogha to win. he also uses mimic as a health flask, pierce and holy stagger him nicely though.
I got lucky and got the Curseblade Circle weapon..made them +10 bc I’m tired of killing everything with Elonora poleblade…which does wreck everything btw.
Curse blades are very cool..Prob better damage than Elonoras..The special attack is wicked …several cool moves u can do with them…Only downside is zero reach..you are upclose and personal :)..
I tired them on big stone giants in fog rift…nope nope and nope..lol. Circular blades vs straight giant rock nope. Had grab big hammer for those.
Curse blades also have a nice follow up move after charge attack…just some feedback. I feel def worth leveling them.
Now I’m curious about those double axes in this episode..haha..that charge attack looks fun as heck.
Got lost in the catacombs…was convinced there was nowhere I hadn’t checked….i was wrong….again.
I’m so pissed I thought he could only use big grab attack once so when I dodged it I beat him up for a while with my mimic and when’s he Was one m1 from death he popped grab as I was drinking a flask and got half his health back so I got destroyed
How did godwyns death root make it all the way here ? And where was he on the night of the murder … I’m so pissed lol ,, I really told myself this is godwyn reborn through fia. Until I read axe description
28:48 Been using these daggers with divine beast frost stomp through the rest of my playthrough. All attacks are throwing not just the heavy attack. These attacks can sometimes knock enemies out of a jumping attack.Thanks for the fog rift catacombs missed the stone sword :/

13:22 at the entrance to the area, I sniped the crappy little mage on his balcony with a great bow + 2 bow talismans. That shut him up. Also did the imps at the same time ; )
You can give my boy Horsent some soup. Which I think is nice.
For those big golems in the dungeon you can also use black knife and the HP drain great sword spell to burn them from a distance
Godslayer Greatsword or any black flame abilities work well on the Death Knight.
He is immune to bleed as far as I know.
what is his armor set and shield?
I believe he is using the Cuckoo Greatshield, but I would love to know the armour set too.

Dark knight armour set would be cool as fuck. Since the DLC launched there is a quest line that lets your turn into a dragon
A cheeky strat is to use Ambush Shard on those forge guys. Doesn't do a ton of damage but it's a safe bet to get them from a distance.

I was really surprised and disappointed with no hero graves. The base game had like what 5 or 6.
Woah that stone sword tip was really good. I had no idea. I figured it would be behind the sleeping fire golem guy.
Been using the storm talisman on my str build since i grabbed it. Stormcaller + shard of alex + that talisman on the black steel hammer, and i was able to stunlock wizard boss and kill her before phase 2.
