As you know I live in the Caribbean and dressing for a warmer climate is a bit tricky, because we're all tempted to wear tank tops and shorts everywhere but that look can't work for a meeting or when you're going out to a posh restaurant...but these tips will definitely help to make a few adjustments to my Summer Wardrobe, I know for a fact that I wear the wrong fabrics. Love the mix of finding ways to style that can be done from your closet -- ideas you hadn't had before -- and showing new pieces when they are interesting. And your style is the best. I had to chuckle as when I looked at this video I saw you were wearing what I am today, blue and white striped shirt and light taupe bottom, except with a puffy pair of cream taupe-y pants. I paired it with taupe slides, a tan belt, and a monogrammed tan and taupe Dooney & Bourke bucket bag.

I usually agree with not wearing polyester in summer (and in general!) but for years now I have been wearing this olive green light fabric summer pants from H&M (!) which I love and it is: polyester!! it has some texture in it and it is not sticky at all. It is one of my favorite hot summer day wear....

Wearing a flared bottom would help you avoid looking bulkier at the top! Wear wide leg jeans, fit and flare dresses. Tiered skirts and midi skirts that are not narrow will look more elevated and you can easily wear ruffles with them! Hope this helps 🥰

Can tou share tips about chesty women and curvy hips. Size 12 here but hips and bust are for size 14-16 clothes and I look bulky if I choose them 😂 Also, 5'1 in height.
I find it hard to wear linen as it wrinkles too easily and doesn't look smart. the ruffles also look messy and of cheap material. reminds me of table cloth trimmings😝
It really depends for me! It depends on the style of the piece of clothing and the quality of the linen It’s not super dressy or “smart” as y’all call it, but I feel like it’s more of an effortless chic look depending again on how you style it and the quality! H&M surprised me this year, they’ve come out with several linen dresses this summer and they sell out super fast. But for instance, I picked up a shirt dress with long sleeves, it goes down to my calves with buttons all the way down the front, and slits on both side that go up to mid thigh So I paired mine with a thick braided belt, rolled the sleeves up to show off my jewelry on wrists and rings, tied my hair back in a low bun and threw on some gorgeous sandals that I have. It transformed the dress so much because before I styled it, I was planning on returning it because like you said, sometimes it can def look like a table cloth!! But styling is key 🥰

Love your tops, but as I am inverted triangle shape, I can't wear ruffles and blouses to billery make me look to large on top.
I find the inverted triangle shape to be the hardest to dress. I am one too. Everything looks wrong on me. Frompy and short.
Maybe consider peplum tops, you get a cinch in your waist. Then add volume to your hips to give the illusion of a hourglass shape
