~(I'm sure he wouldn't want to be depicted as Jesus like in the thumbnail but c'mon.. he's a perfect fit! Couldn't resist. He does have a genuine heart though, they share that. Jesus had a much more vintage Strat though)
It's so uplifting to watch this after the 1994 VPRO interview.
yeah...that is a hard interview to watch. It really is night and day. In the 94 interview, they ask him about Cobains death. I am happy the world did not lose him like we lost Cobain. It's nice to see what somoene is actually doing 24 years later vs. saying "imagine what he would be doing now if he were still alive."
M. Revolver Right, we can all be disappointed that he's no longer a Pepper. For the sake of his emotional well being, I could care less.

I love the way he really contemplated before answering questions. He’s so fucking awesome. The “...it’s not that important” answer is a lesson for everyone to learn and live by.

Maybe that's how he views himself.
I think he's worked hard to achieve that perspective because I know he has struggled with fame in the past. I'm so glad he's grown into such a beautiful human being. A true inspiration for me for sure.
He is the nicest person. Such an amazing musician. But in real life, you could walk up to him and ask: hey can you show how you do this or that. And he would help you out.

@Alex Yerkey the long, gruelling Stadium Arcadium tour really took it out of them - I guess in those 2007 shows you could call it burnout? You’re right, Fru looked tired and unhappy, but his guitar was still amazing 🤩

RHCP were only good with their mastermind John Frusciante. He wrote the best songs for them, they died when he left them.

Hillel did give them their signature style, but the peppers hit their pinnacle with John. All their best songs mad creative genius was with John. Thar says a lot about him as a musical genius
There ain’t nothing wrong with One Hot Minute, and I like all the Hillel Slovak Albums. But yes, John was their bread and butter. Most raw creative talent in band in my opinion. The albums with Josh K, I find just alright, fun but nothing to write home about. I absolutly love John’s solo career though.

no, they're not talking about The Empyrean. the guy mentions the Fortune Faded video (2003) "just before all your solo records came out" aka when John released 4 albums within the space of a year (2004-05). like Sethrash said, this is from the 2007 Grammys.
