if you need to save money get ddr4, ddr5 will be better at stock but if you tune ddr4 youll get more performance then ddr5 at stock and would be cheaper
If you’re using 1080p, ddr5 is leagues better, 1440p, you should use ddr4 as the difference isn’t as large. The difference comes down surprisingly not in that many greater flames, but in greater frame stability as well. This is coming from someone who tested with a z690 and a z790 board, with both ddr4 3200 cl14, and my current ddr5 6400 cl21

The Motherboard is DDR4 therefore not compatible with DDR5 RAM. That's what D4 means in the name ASUS ROG Strix Z790-A Gaming WiFi D4. Maybe you can get similar FPS but that would require a motherboard that is DDR5 compatible plus some motherboards you can use the 5600Mhz without overclocking straight out of the box. Check the motherboard DDR5 RAM specification first to see if no overclocking is required.
@@sneal1 Yes. In some cases more FPS have been reported like maybe 10-15 FPS due to the 13000 series CPU. But still check if the DDR5 needs to be overclocked first.
I am loving it. I just got it all finally fully put together. I have a 240hz monitor coming so I can really test it. But on my 165hz one it’s working great.
