This is such a great conversation. I like to listen to podcasts while I clean my house - I’m a stay at home mom and I homeschool my 3 boys. While organizing and cleaning everything I just started thinking “man I feel like I’m doing so much work, making everything just right - but I’m by myself (aside from my kids) no one sees this. Doesn’t even matter?” So then I hear you guys talking about the gps pins and realizing that I totally struggle with wrapping my worth up in how everyone views me as a mom and homemaker. Like I have to prove that I’m worth it to have my husband working so hard to provide so I get to do this. He’s amazing and does his best to make me feel valued. But in my head it’s never enough - for me. I could always be doing more or better. This episode made me think. I need to find my worth is Jesus and not in whatever title I have or what I did today. Thank you for this!
What I’ve learned from Dr John delony by watching him in the last 4 months are as someone is telling me their stories I listen intently as he does and say I’m sorry for what happened to you. I’m learning more how to listen and my responses are better . Thank you Dr John . I’m also learning boundaries
Yeah totally! Putting the cart back is so simple - and now I have a 12 year old so I often have him run the cart into the store while I load the groceries in.
It’s the saddest part of humanity that negativity & defeatism gets elevated & multiplied yet positivity & hope gets ignored or quieted. You’re seen as naive if you take a positive approach to life. It’s almost trendy to be anxiety ridden. It’s like a virtue now. Of course we should acknowledge the very real issues which plague society & try to work towards solutions but so many ppl don’t wanna accept the most fundamental solution which is exactly what John D mentioned…. Just be intentional about separating from devices & loving your neighbors. Peace is highly underrated. Like I said, great episode!!
My positive for the week, I set up a gofundme to raise $400 so I can buy some bibles for the children's ministry at my local church as well as other churches in my area and in less than 8 hours I was able to get nearly half the funding. God is good!

It isn’t about a shopping cart. It’s about my kids being left alone in a car. I’m also the mom who realizes she didn’t pay for something and put my babies back in the cart and took it back in the store. I lived in Illinois and did it in the snow. I’m not ok with the lady saying it that way.
