How have you all been? I have been taking a long summer break but now that the summer is over my knitting mojo is slowly but surely coming back! I am so excited to knit all the things. In this episode I have 2 cardigans to show you and some exciting news!
About the wind: I tried to edit it out but it didn't really work without altering my voice too much so I turned it down a bit and left it in. Hope you don't mind

I think at the beginning of your videos you always explain why you havent podcasted in a long time but really, its not necessary! Everyone understands that life is busy with children ! Maybe you only podcast in Fall and Winter occaisionally and thats fine, I dont think people have expectations of you about how many videos you do! Im sure we all appreciate whenever you have time to do one... Your house looks so nice, maybe one day we could get a tour of the inside, I love your house decorating style! The cardigans look very cozy! thanks for the podcast today!

About explaining where i have been. for me podcasting is like talking to a friend so if we haven’t talked in a while i do a little catch up first 🤗 you can always skip the intro if it becomes boring or redundant 😅
Also, you would be surprised how many messages i get asking where i am and when i will podcast again 😄

I will be wearing something totally not your style, I’m trying to finish a magic marled sweater dress by Stephen west in purple lilac 🤣. ❤

Thank you for releasing the Nordlig cardigan - I’ve been waiting for it since you showed it in progress in a previous episode and bought it straightaway. The construction is so unique. It will be my first attempt at brioche. The cabled cardi is lovely (I might try to add 4ply stockinette pockets in a lightweight yarn on the inside for practical purposes). Nice to see you and your pretty home and island again :)

I’m so excited that you finally finished and released your Nordlig! I’ve been ogling at it since you first showed it and checked in frequently to no avail… I had given up all hope by now! But… you proved me wrong and her3 it is, definitely worth the wait! I just bought it and can’t wait to get my hands on some Gotland… this autumn is all about cardigans in my projects and Nordlig will line up nicely!
And yes, please, pockets for the other cardigan, definitely!!!

Your cardigan ‘in making’ has been just the Cardi pattern I’ve been looking for. (I have a round neck pattern in my ravelry queue that is similar but really want a Vneck).
I would love to test this pattern for you and hope I don’t miss the opportunity once you put it out for testing. If I’m not lucky enough to be chosen I will likely wait for it to be published. I have a local to me hand dyed yarn already in mind.

When you mentioned going to the beach almost everyday, I really envied your lifestyle and decided to go to a beach next summer! Just felt happier from imagining it.
Where I live, climate change is crazy, we had burning, sweaty summer until mid-September and we can still go by with summer clothes… I really miss autumn!

I really like the cabled cardigan, I don't think it needs pockets. I also like the narrow cuffs as they are. Looking forward to your release of this in the future as I am planning to attempt an advanced cardigan in 2025. Lovely video, thank you 😊

Both of your cardigan designs are beautiful! I've never knit brioche before, do you think it would be too ambitious to cast on the Nordlig as my first brioche project?
If you sre not new to knitting you should be fine. Brioche is just like knitting with yarn overs ☺️ the project will let you practice brioche in the round, brioche flat and increases. But only in 1 color

I made an account, I ll be notified when there's a ticket for sale. There are always people who's cannot make it because off illness or other circumstances. I am determined to go! 🌞🐏💕

Welcome back Laerke (sorry for the 'english ae). I love both cardigans and have purchased the Nordlig cardigan. It will be my first brioche challenge so that should be interesting. I am so envious about It's a Sarah Knit 2 Purl 2 festival. Eastern Canada doesn't seem to have knitting festivals. Maybe one day I will get to Denmark or the Netherlands for a knitting festival. Thanks for sharing. The sound and lighting were fine. And it was good to hear your catch up.
Prince Edward Island has a Fibre Festival in early October. It’s probably too late to register but the Woolcast on UA-cam by Fleece and Harmony has all the information if you’re interested in checking it out. They have a sheep farm, woolen milland yarn shop in Belfast Prince Edward Island.💕🧶 From Katie in Maine USA
