Hi Inga. I have been watching and enjoying your podcasts for years. You are such a lovely soul! Congratulations on your baby. I know I am late to that but better late than never. I am thrilled you have chosen cloth diapers for her! I did that with my baby many years ago and it was great for him and for the environment. Thanks for all you do and share ❤
I like the burgundy, orange and the cream/beige. Swatching is likely the only way you’ll figure out what stripe ratio is best. Love all your cosy sweaters
Love the cashmere sweater! The color is gorgeous and design is so beautiful ! Jennifer used to work at a beautiful yarn store in Santa Monica! She used to Find me beautiful yarns ! Later on she opened her own shop with wonderful yarns and accessories! I am so glad that you found her! It is just turning fall Here in Sonoma. I am so inspired to start knitting up the season Thank you for the great inspiration!
I love the dark burgundy next to your face. I also like the idea of small orange stripes and no other colors. A bit more sophisticated with less colors. The burgundy is such an elegant color.
The minute I saw your yarns I visualized a burgundy sweater with thin orange stripes for you and an orange sweater with thin burgundy stripes for Nellie. I had never considered those two colors together before but it would be stunning!
I love your sweater inga ❤ i mean the colors i love so much. Loved to see you did the braids for Nellies dress it looks so cute. the tutti frutti sweater is cute and your boucle one look so snuggly. The burgundy/orange is lovely. Alone is great and i can only think to add a pale color like the beige you chose to go with the orange
Soooo appreciating the Fall vibes while it's broiling HOT here in Massachusetts! CanNOT wait for the Autumn Season. This has given me such a cozy, joyful start to my Sunday morning. Thank you, Inga. I just adore you. 🥰💖💕
Hi from stormy Scotland. Definitely autumnal here, with a lot of strong winds and rain today. I'm knitting on a stripey tee while watching this episode. I love all the autumnal colours that you held up! The orange and marroon definitely suit your colouring best, but pairing them with the cream and brown makes a lovely striped pattern. What decisions! 🧶💖
Love both shades of your new yarn! Yes I agree very autumnal colours everything you mentioned! Weather here across North Sea near Newcastle on coast is now very autumnal so definitely sock knitting 🧶 time! Xx 🧶😘🧶
I haven’t watched you for quite a while for some reason but very much enjoy your podcasts. Now I need to knit a cozy pullover in a latte color like the yarn from Republic of Me. Another podcast I need to catch up on. I will be a first time grandmother soon to a a little girl so I really appreciate seeing what you knit for Nellie. Your smile is everything.
Nellie is the best dressed little girl in Norway with all the beautiful knits you have made her. I also love all your sweaters. So funny to have a "My Precious" sweater. A scarf would be perfect for the left overs. I vote to use the pumpkin color, marroon color and brown color for your next striped sweater. I am knitting my first baby cardigan and so far so good. Thanks for all your inspiration. Enjoy your cozy day at home, knitting and playing with Nellie.
main: Burgandy (so pretty), with the orange, and mill ends (smaller stripes) I'm excited to see what you come up with! All of the colors especially the burgandy and orange are so very precious-sssssss. hahaha.
Combo choice ,cool ; when you put the yarn to your chin I agree ,the dark like being like berry or wine , o ; yeh goes with your complexion hope you try it you have a pile there looks like mine yey! Enjoy 😄
Hi Inga. Love it when your podcast comes out!! Thank you for sharing. I love the burgundy and orange. So interested to hear how you enjoy knitting double with Sunday. I’ve done it several times and just don’t feel that cozy vibe… it doesn’t sing in my hands when knitting so I would love to hear how you enjoy it. My daughter started university last year and I made her (and two of her close friends) beautiful sweaters using 2 strands of Sunday and a strand of Alpakka Folgetrad and the fabric is so lovely. Just an idea.
Your sweater is so colourful and looks great on you. I love your knits they are so inspiring. Short and sweet comments as I have just come back from a five day break on a farm in the Meiringspoort area near De Rust South Africa
Hi Inga thank you for sharing your lovely knits with us. Your cashmere sweater must literally be like wearing a cloud. The perfect combination of cosy and elegant.
The mornings here have a fall coolness to them this last week and yay I’m here for it 🍂!! That cashmere boucle sweater is insane!! No doubt you’d be petting it all day!! Cozy knitting to you.
I live at the beach in California where the weather is like late spring all year. My hobby of knitting sweaters is perfect for this weather, for it is always a nice ocean breeze but never freezing or raining. I've been in bed the past 2 weeks sick and your videos are always nice and calm and bring me some joy. Thank you, dear Inga
I appreciate your podcasts so much 💐the way you share all of your ideas and want to share your knowledge and the love for knitting with others 💐I’m in Texas the weather here is a few degrees cooler 101 degrees has been 106, 104 warm days and very dry 💐 again Thank you for your valuable time sharing your fabulous knits 💐 adorable Nellie dress
Here’s another vote for burgundy as the MC with thinner orange stripes. Those two colors give such an autumnal warm feeling. I like to use a basic dk wt top down raglan sweater and then I switch up what I do for the “fabric” design and sleeve length. The pattern I use is Trescao by Along Avec Anna who is very generous to make it free. It doesn’t have a turtle neck but it would be easy to add one. For Nellie, I think using orange as the MC and burgundy stripes to create the same warm, rich color palette. Thanks for the episode.
I love all the fall colours! I can totally see a sweater for you with the burgundy as the main colour and the orange as thinner stripes. Something like the "Abby Sweater" by Sandnes Garn or "Aspen" by Quail Studio 😃
I am sharing your Fall energy! I am so ready for Fall, although I knit woolly items at any time of year. I doubt I will every be knitting with cashmere, but I am vicariously enjoying how soft your beautiful pullover is! It just looks delicious! Thank you for this episode!
Hi Inga. Thank you for your podcasts which i always enjoy, and am always interested to see what you are going to cast on next. A turtle neck pattern which I have knitted twice and really enjoy wearing is the Louvre Sweater by PetiteKnit (yes, I know). The second one i made I modified by reducing the number of sleeve increases to give a slimmer fit to the arms. Its worth a look. Enjoy your holiday in Turkey xx
Love the burgundy, orange and cream combination. Have a play with the online striped pattern generator for determining stripe widths that please you. Have fun.
Thank you for another great update on you, your life and knits which are gorgeous!!!! Can’t wait to cast on again but this little devil on my shoulders tells be to finish one project first. I have six projects going on and they are all about 3/4 finished. I’m a slower knitter because I also have a life long passion as also being a quilter. So quilt by day and knit by night❤❤❤. Happy knitting, Inga, and thank you for always inspiring me!!!!!
Thanks for this episode. It's hot here in the Czech republic, but I'm knitting cozy little socks for my cousin's baby, while my little daughter is having her midday nap. I love all the colours, you have for your future sweater, they are not mine, but they will look stunning on you. Happy knitting.
I can’t wait for Fall weather. I love all your sweater colors…I think you should stripe your sweater with each of the different Fall colors that you have. Not large stripes though. And do the same for Nelli with small stripes! 🤎🧡❤️
I have been craving all things fall for over a month now. Just got some fall colored fiber in the mail yesterday and immediately started spinning it on my Turkish spindle! Love your videos
Always LOVE when a new podcast is available. I love to see what you are knitting, weather in Norway and hear about everything! Thank you Inga! Have a lovely week.
Hi Inga, lovely to see you! I needed to buy a new iPad so it’s much better to see and hear you! Love little dress for Nellie it’s amazing colour! Love cashmere sweater and the one you started and took with you to town ! Love all the shades of yarn! 🧶 thank you as always! 🧶😘🧶
I save Hanko by Sari Nordlund in my favorites because I like the striping idea. It is something I would not have thought of. I always so enjoy your podcast. Thank you for all the work involved in making it happen.
Inspiring to see all your projects, wip's plans....your approach is just right...knit what you love and make no apologies for changing it up or having multiple projects on the go. I'm on board with that ;)
You are gorgeous! I love seeing all your makes! Your stripe sweater is AMAZING! I would very much love a sweater tutorial based on gauge!! I’m intimidated by sweaters and gauge!
Loved the episode! Thank u! I am dreaming of Inge Sweater from Lene Holme Samsøe for my fall knitting cravings. Also, from my experience knitting with Sunday, alone or even double, the fabric has a tendency to felt and peel. Needs an accompanying thread (silk mohair, Alpaka etc). But I still love to knit with it for my kids ❤
Hello Inga! Love this episode, giving me all the autumn vibes. Petite Knit just posted today a super cozy new sweater called Amy sweater, and I think the orangey and berry colors would be so cute if you stripe it! Hello from Spain!
Greetings from monsoon season in the Indian Himalayas. Loads of cozy knitting weather here. It's not a. stripe project but your yarn made me think about the rascal spirit by Anna Johanna. Has a turtle neck and wide body with more fitted sleeves (but I am not sure if that was my modification). But I am sure it would look adorable on Nelly. Have a lovely day
Hello Inga! Thanks for your autumn vibes🥰🍁. I find the combination of the burgundy with the orange very interesting. I guess some brioche would look really nice with it 🤩.
Hi Inga, I love your knitted items. It is rarely warm enough here in Cincinnati, Ohio for all the big sweaters, but I love seeing them. The baby items are just so sweet. I was wondering If Matias minds your knitting so much? Probably since his mother was a prolific knitter he is used to it. Knitting just makes me so happy. I’m making prolific dish clothes, the Stornoway throw for my son and daughter-in-law and a shawl I am making from granny squares and then knitting the bottom part. Have a wonderful week.
Dearest Inga, we just found out that we’re expecting our first grandchild, a little girl, she will lives in New Zealand and now I am going to look back at all your wonderful knits for Nelly because you are right on my wavelength! It is such a joy to see your enjoyment of this very special time with your baby girl, and of course in New Zealand, they have long maternity periods, unlike in the US, so our daughter will be able to enjoy time with her baby as well. Much love, Marina I am going straight to Knitting for Olive for patterns.
Hello gorgeous!!! Nice to hear from you!!!! I love your face: I forgot something, but HAAG!!!! I'm so enchanted to see all the knitting for Nelly. I don't have Babies to knit so I enjoy seeing yours. I cannot imagine you yarn stash but you knit so fast that probably it doesn't matter. See you soon.
The weather is all of a sudden autumnal and rainy here on the south coast of England. I immediately got the knit vibes (not knitted a stitch for months) and chucked your podcast on to watch. You have just inspired me to cast on an orange and beige thinly striped twisted cowl (self draft). Thanks Inga☺️
Thanks for taking your precious time to spend with us! For your new turtleneck, I like the burgundy, orange and some white; not so much the brown in that combo. How about wide/ish stripes with an outline of the crème/natural on both sides of the stripe? I love hearing about and seeing your pictures of beautiful Norway. ❤. Hope you are enjoying your time with Nellie!
Inge - I just visited the Hillesvag Mill 😊. Our first trip to Norway and this was a “must do” after listening to your you tube channel for a few years. It was very easy to take the bus from Bergen. 🙏 Lots of yarn goodness is making its way back to Colorado in the U.S.
Hello it is always a nice surprise to see you have a new episode out. Thanks ! For your new stripped sweater, I prefer the burgundy and orange together. Have a good knitting day !
I am a little bit late. But I love the small designers. I know you like Laura Penrose. She made the Sibling Sweater my size in DK with a very nice shoulder construction. I startet mine with an provisional cast on to do the collar later. I would recommend to knit this with two or three colours. Thank again for your podcast.
I feel the burgundy with orange stripes, that would be a lovely sweater! I’m usually not going for boxy, so these might not be what you want, but the turtlelecks that I’ve saved on instagram that I think would look good are: the daily ritual raglan by Park Williams, Mias polotröja (Striipessweater) from garntua, Liebling sweater by Camilla Vadd, the classic from Espace tricot, Lyon sweater from Petite knit, Versal pullover by Ailbiona, or perhaps Salishan by Knit for the soul. Have fun choosing a pattern!
Your finished objects are amazing. Love that cashmere sweater and the colors of the striped sweater and Nellie’s dress. All are amazing. Your Sunday yarn acquisition is definitely giving fall fibes and I am ready for fall temperatures. A striped sweater is a great idea. I love the maroon with the orange and I really like the beigy extra color, that you bought the one ball, with it. A pattern, that is difficult. I’ve seen one made on another podcast that was loved, when finished, but it didn’t have a turtleneck. Quite sure it was top down though. It had dropped shoulder and not sure that is what you would like. Let me see if I can find the name of it. OK, found it, Stripe Hype Sweater by Veronika Lindberg. A very popular striped sweater in DK weight, at the moment. Hope that helps. Love your podcasts. Have fun with Nellie. You are making beautiful garments for her.
It definitely feels like fall also here with all the raining. The Burgundy as base is what you should go for, stripe with the orange and beige to give it some lightness and color. Thank you for a lovely episode once again 💝
Watching your beautiful knitting journey, du vakre vestlands strikkerske, brings me so much joy. I'm obsessed with the stripe pattern from Direction Loop Tee - maybe you could modify that stripe pattern to your fall sweater?
Hello Inga, look at petiet knit for the over sized fall sweater. She has a couple that sounds like what you are looking for, I am so ready for fall and all the pumpkin stuff and smells. Hugs to you and Nelly ❤
So cozy to watch you. I'm currently on call at a hospital's operating ward but for now it's nothing to on the list. Working on the second mingling daisies shawl by Stephen West. I been frogging one pattern repeat and now I'm back on track again 😅. I vote for just burgundy and orange for the turtleneck sweater (burgundy as main colour and thin orange stripes).
Enjoyed this bonus vlog, I have sent some wool to the mill and am expecting some Arran weight wool to be returned. I sent some wool to you before which you showed on your channel. I hope this new yarn will be softer and make some good knitted fabric. Plenty of ideas from you in terms of jumpers, socks and children's wear. Hope the weather perks up , it's very summery here in the UK.👍
Hi Inga, I love watching your episodes, while I knit on this beautiful, sunny, breezy Sunday in Chicago. I can finally sit on my patio without melting from the heat and humidity. Lovely knits and your colorways of burgundy and orange/rust are beautiful together. The nutmeg/brown color yarn would go well. I am not sure about the cream color, but my brain works differently, so if you love it, do you.😊 Are you planning to make the stripes larger than the ones on your self drafted sweater? Nelli will be a well-dressed little girl❤. Take care.
Hi Inga. It's so nice to spend time with you again. I think the colours of your coffee mug are quite nice for the sweater - burgundy, orange, and dusty green with either of the two pale colours. While you were away, you quietly helped me make better knitting choices for myself. I now use as a mantra "if I don't like what I am knitting, cast on something else", but also don't make something you know you don't like.
Always nice seeing you. How about one of the stripe color in one strand only, others in 2 strand…thinking of one oh Andrea Mowry…( a Rhinebeck sweater of a few appears back…).
“This is not a weather channel, but…” 😂😂😂 thank you for another great video. If you haven’t started your stripes, my vote is for thin! Possibly alternating a thick stripe of burgundy against a thinner stripe or orange with a beige row in the center of it. It a distance, it might give a nice multidimensional effect. Perhaps even the brown on the outer edge of the orange. For clarity: maybe ten rows burgundy, two rows brown, four rows orange, one row beige, four rows orange, two rows brown, ten rows burgundy. Something like that if it works with the yardage you have. Just an idea! ❤
Thank you for yet another great episode ❤ I think the burgundy and orange would look amazing with a forest green and the whitish colour that you already have - very Fall like and cozy 😊❤
Hi Inga! Thinking of you today as I decided to cast on a pair of Huldras mitts - I was one of your testers! I love the pattern and can't wait to have another pair - I'm also excited to see your fall colors as they ar every similar to the ones I'm thinking of for my mitts. Your knitting is always so beautiful so I look forward to your podcasts! Hugs from Texas!
Perhaps the 'Flippend Pullover' from Ailbiona McLochlainn could be interesting for you. It is a really well tought over pattern. Enjoy your knitting, i really enjoyed this episode so : thank you !
“this is not a weather channel” 😂 I love hearing about the weather and life circumstances in Norway!
Thank you so much! Sitting here folding them now🤗🥰 hope you have a great week
The burgundy and orange are perfect together, I don’t think the need another colour.
She used to
Find me beautiful yarns ! Later on she opened her own shop with wonderful yarns and accessories! I am so glad that you found her! It is just turning fall
Here in Sonoma. I am so inspired to start knitting up the season Thank you for the great inspiration!

My mom did cloth diapers for all three of us kids so appreciated compared to the plastic gross diapers. Thank you Inga. Love you.
Soooo appreciating the Fall vibes while it's broiling HOT here in Massachusetts! CanNOT wait for the Autumn Season. This has given me such a cozy, joyful start to my Sunday morning. Thank you, Inga. I just adore you. 🥰💖💕

This was so peaceful to watch ❤
I made a dale of Norway sweater with burgundy, orange, brown and cream. I love it! I love those colors!!
Pozdrowienia z Polski 🫶☺️

Ooh I really like the burgundy yarn with thick orange stripes and thin beige stripes. I think that would be so pretty!!
The Baba sweater by Ankestrick comes to mind for your Sunday yarns. I love the burgundy and orange together! Very autumnal vibes.
Love both shades of your new yarn! Yes I agree very autumnal colours everything you mentioned! Weather here across North Sea near Newcastle on coast is now very autumnal so definitely sock knitting 🧶 time! Xx 🧶😘🧶

Nellie is the best dressed little girl in Norway with all the beautiful knits you have made her. I also love all your sweaters. So funny to have a "My Precious" sweater. I love seeing little glimpses of your home life. Makes it more real than a highly polished and edited video. 🤗
I cannot wear sweaters where I live! I envy you, I am tired of this warm weather 🫠🫠
Hi Inga. Love it when your podcast comes out!! Thank you for sharing.

Stripes in orange, burgundy, and natural would look lovely. Burgundy as main color with narrow orange and natural stripes.
Hello Inga! Love this episode, giving me all the autumn vibes. Petite Knit just posted today a super cozy new sweater called Amy sweater, and I think the orangey and berry colors would be so cute if you stripe it! Hello from Spain!

The precious cashmere is extraordinary!!! I think I’d make a cowl with the extra. 🧶 💗
So lovely to see you and all your projects Inga! I love the striped sweater on you, the colours are so perfect!
I love the burgundy, orange and light beige for you, and beige as the main for Nellie along with the other two.
Will look great.

Hello. I just discovered your podcast via Megha of Skeins of dreams. I really enjoyed your episode.
Hello it is always a nice surprise to see you have a new episode out. Thanks ! For your new stripped sweater, I prefer the burgundy and orange together. Have a good knitting day !
Love your videos, Inga. Aren't you naughty trying to get us all to cast on with abandon, my precious! Mua-ha-haaaa!
I adore this knitting podcast just like I adore Arieknits wonderful too
Watching your beautiful knitting journey, du vakre vestlands strikkerske, brings me so much joy. I'm obsessed with the stripe pattern from Direction Loop Tee - maybe you could modify that stripe pattern to your fall sweater?
Love the colours of the Sunday yarn. Love the orange and brown combination.
I think so too😁 have a good shift
Enjoyed this bonus vlog, I have sent some wool to the mill and am expecting some Arran weight wool to be returned. I sent some wool to you before which you showed on your channel. I hope this new yarn will be softer and make some good knitted fabric. Plenty of ideas from you in terms of jumpers, socks and children's wear. Hope the weather perks up , it's very summery here in the UK.👍
Enjoy your summer days😘
Thanks for another wonderful and light hearted episode Inga. My vote is for burgundy and orange stripe sweater. The little dress is very sweet. 😊
Hi Inga, I love watching your episodes, while I knit on this beautiful, sunny, breezy
Sunday in Chicago. Take care.
Not larger i think either the same but forther apart or two thinner stripes further apart
Burgundy main, orange thin stripes! 🍎 🍂 😊
Love the podcast today the skirt your knitting for Nellie is so cute ☺️
Thank you! 😊
@@TaylorOwen oooh i kinda like that idea!
Thank you for yet another great episode ❤ I think the burgundy and orange would look amazing with a forest green and the whitish colour that you already have - very Fall like and cozy 😊❤
Thanks!!! Inspiration!!! And happiness!!!
Your "Precious" is FABULOUS. I need cashmere boucle 😍 I too, am itching for some stripes.
It's so good! I vote for you to cast on🙌🏻
I like the burgundy as the main. The orange and off white contrast
Your daughter’s dress is absolutely beautiful!
Hi Inga, I love your podcast! Thank you for all of the cozy fall vibes.🍁☕️🍂
Perhaps the 'Flippend Pullover' from Ailbiona McLochlainn could be interesting for you. It is a really well tought over pattern. Enjoy your knitting, i really enjoyed this episode so : thank you !
