Don, this is exactly why we have decided to do this… we hear this all the time, either retired people wishing they did it when they were younger and more fit and able or people who wanted to travel but never did. There are of course trade offs… but this is the choice we have made and we love it soo much

(24:25) there’s a section between Nevada and Utah. It’s best to travel at night where the temperatures hover around 104°F. That’s cool. Had to run across that two years ago with a hazardous material load. Kept my tractor trailer at 40 mph the entire stretch.was until I got to Utah where we actually started to climb mountains. To a higher elevation, but the temperatures were still in the low 90s 4500 feet. No gas stations, no food nothing. They don’t call it. Death Valley for a reason.

I’ve noticed that the Garmin zumo xt has started doing strange things since the last update.
I’ve been thinking about getting one of the apple car play things.
Is the twin leaking much oil.

It’s strange, the garmin used to be very good. Coincidentally there’s a new version out now… Zumo xt 2…
We have lost the faith with this one sadly. Google maps works much better.
It’s not too bad right now, I’m hoping the leak will last the trip if I keep topping it up, if not it’s a big job

(20:38) now do you actually eat that cheese or do you smear it around the exterior of your tent to keep the animals and flies away?😂
