Honestly, I would say the Zillow was trying to scare palpatine. It could probably take down a star destroyer if it tried.

I would assume that they were in service prior to the clone wars and the separatist vessels were just ones bought prior to hostilities beginning.
A interesting what if?
What if the Zillo beast had decided to immediately slam the shuttle cockpit first into the ground repeatedly and had killed all the occupants.
No Palpatine, no Anakin, no Padme and no Skywalker kids (or Palpatine kids - spoilers 🙀)…oh and those droids.
What would've happened?
Dooku was still alive so he runs the CIS, but does he now play to win? He can't issue Order 66.
So would the war now transition to a straight battle for supremacy without any nerfing or handicapping of whoever's ahead at the time by the guy secretly running both sides?
And really? Was Palpatine actually in serious danger and Anakin saved him, or was this a calculated risk on Palp's part and he could Force control the beast or use his abilities otherwise to save his ass at the last second?
Anyways, if you want a escape ship in case of attack, it makes sense to use a combat vessel as the base design and then make make it even faster.
Or do what a lot of modern elites do and have a standard van on the outside with luxury fittings inside along with the security features.
I imagine without Darth Sidious secretly directing the course of the war and Dooku still in power of the Separatist Alliance that he very well could win with a Separatist victory.
The Separatist Armed Forces vastly outnumbered the Republic forces and the Jedi order. Dooku can't himself execute Order 66 as it can only be ordered by the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic.
Thus Dooku is forced to actually win the Clone War. He has superior numbers and overall much better General's. The only thing that was keeping the Republic in play was the fact that Palpatine was directing everything. Republic Forces are outnumbered 100 to 1 in most planetary engagements and possibly 5 to 1 in capital ships.
Even with the Jedi Order their are only so many droids they can cut down before their overwhelmed and while the average clone trooper is superior to droids they cannot be easily replaced and in a war of attrition the droids will win.
This is just my opinion.
Well aperently sidious can just respawn and cripple whole fleets with force lighting for some reason as of last jedi so i doubt the zilo beast could kill him. And yes i know dark empire did palps respawning and had the force storm but that was also stupid trash.
Since the entirety of the original trilogy was supposed to be from the viewpoint of R2-D2 then that would most definitely result in the universe rebooting...

I would cut it in half, create a long part, weld that onto the cockpit, and then weld on the back part. Then I would add some stuff like a TV, a couch, a nice small area where you can grab a drink, and even make a cocktail, as well as a mini fridge with all kinds of food. I would add two front facing laser cannons to fight off any pirates and would give it more powerful engines. Oh yeah and a custom paint job.

I don't care if it's in Disney's eyes because I don't see any of their works as legitimate in mine. I want a honest anewer.
Since the main contributing factor to their existence is the Sith and its Empire, I would imagine that they either fell to misuse and obscurity to the wider galaxy (Korriban, Dromund Kaas etc., just like the Chiss) or recolonised by the Republic over the centuries.
Also, on the Canon/EU/Legends debate, I simply combine all of it (most of the Disney-era stuff are good, like the comics, novels, Rogue One, world between worlds, visual guide info. etc.) and kick out elements I don't like (Greedo shooting, that Dewback in front of Luke's landpeeder), maybe taking parts of the bits kicked out (Sequel: stormtroopers taken from home and indoctrinated from birth; Holiday Special: The cantina at night, minus the singing) into my personal "canon". Enjoy the best of all worlds.

This ship reminds me quite a bit of the Lantillian GX-1 Short Hauler - as exemplified by Valorous and Phoenix from The Clone Wars. Similar enough that they should be from the same manufacturer.
In fact, the orginal design of the GX-1 goes back to the drawing board for The Emperor's Shuttle in RotJ, before it was scraped in favor of the Tydirium design.

Palpatine's H-2 escape craft had the Senate logo on its bow because He IS the Senate.
Of course now we will have to see tinkerers who turn them into tiny space homes, or camping ships with their pet Nexu.
It does appear to be made for a high ranking government official, and no doubt it would be useless in combat. Though considering that Palpatine probably saw these flaws of these shuttles when the Zillo Beast. Which is why the Landa Shuttle was a much more combat focus
I like to think the Zillo Beast could not crush it but was intelligent enough to know how to put fear into its target. All to make it do a stupid mistake. This is what the Zillo Beast was most likely doing.
After all. The pilot could try to gun it and blast out of the creature's grasp. Yet likely the Zillo Beast could make sure the shuttle would crash to the ground. Hopeless killing everyone and getting its revenge.
This is my opinion and maybe giving the Zillo Beast way too much credit. As it is no Zilla or rather Godzilla. The one true God of Monsters....but that is a Universe Far, Far, Far Away.
Fun fact: in that scene where the Zilo Beast is staring Palatine down, the Dark Lord is actually scared shitless. This was one of the few times in his life that he was actually terrified of something, but it was still a bit of a game to him as he loved a good rush.

Always a big fan of the xwing/tie fighter flight sim series. Actually still have them all on floppy disc in a closet somewhere. At a time when there is great unrest within the franchise and constant bickering amongst trilogy fans, I am glad I found a hard working you tuber, producing content based on the part of SW I have always found the most interesting: the ships, equipment and the socioeconomic factors of their production within the universe.
As a kid I thought I was so cool knowing by name the companies that produced all of the machines used in star wars... knowing what midichlorians were, not so much.
Considering that many CIS senators were republic senators before the war, they probably took their shuttle with them.

Slayn and corpal could have sold production rights to the CIS before the war then shipped to any number of outerrim worlds. And the wings might be able to fold up or in to accommodate most or all landing environments.

Really seems silly that this thing didn't have a hyperdrive. This was a space-worthy Rolls Royce Phantom, I'd want all the bells and whistles that could be crammed into it.

I’m my opinion an ship design for high profile politicians should be insanely fast an have shields designed for a capital ship I want a ship capable of .5 light speed an strong effective enough to survive a direct attack from a capital ship.

That ramp that comes out looks way too smooth and steep to be comfortable or safe, I'd modify it with stairs or make it a longer and less steep ramp.

Why does the LAAT have bubble turrets during the moving but in the clone wars it doesn’t
If i remember correctly its a different model, a full assault gunship version versus a specific dropship. The bubble turrets appear again in the battle of geonosis and a few other battles

Why do so many star wars ships even need wings when repulsorlifts exist?
I get on fighter ships they make a good spot to mount weapons
I read somewhere once that the in-universe reason is they help to make it less energy consuming when shaping the repulsor field into an aerodynamic shape, in that they only need project it off the hull of the ship rather than use emitters to push a larger field outwards if that makes sense.
Well the separatists probably had some because of the senators who sided with them and took their shops with them, but I doubt the company truly cared.

How about the H2 being stolen, and upgrades with a cloaking device, and deflector sheild. After all if it's common then you think it would be eassily to capture, or be sold illegally on the sly. What ever the all mighty script writer needs for story plot armor!

I’m honestly think that the Sith Lord is powerful enough I not only to hide his powers but to use them in guessing he was holding the ship together I in all honesty believe that if this worlds was are own are emperor the Sith Lord he is can’t be killed in flesh or death he is untouchable in my opinion he was powerful enough to sustain his him self what 40 years”legitimately forgot how long the gap between the Death Star 2 an his body’s death in the newest movie” after his supposed death is lore he isn’t even killed even after death I believe that palpatine is tantamount to a god in that universe while evil yes he’s not stupid. If the sith eternal empire was real I’d join an make sure he was never put in a situation out of control or even in a little danger he is literally capable of generating lighting capable of disabling hundreds of ships without touching his fleet if only for a cheap gage he didn’t immediately get to a super capital ship that should have made the supremacy look small is only a convenient plot whole yes they made thousands destroyers that are advanced enough ships to take out worlds but only built one unshielded antenna.

It could be that the Zilo beast originate either from the Unknown Regions or Malastare. If it is the former, then perhaps then the ones on Malastare were only thought to be extinct, because they only populated that world in the known galaxy. If it is the later the later then perhaps some Zilo beast or maybe just that one somehow migrated to the Unknown t.
