Mayu killed this. One of the best, truly emotional vocal performances I've heard, ever really, at least in rock music. I hope this band will be massive.
Thank you so much for reacting to this. This song is often skipped over because it is not their heaviest or fastest with no screams or growls but for me, this is when Nemophila jumped into my top 3 bands and stopped feeling like only a side project but more as a main for all 5 of them. That livestream brought them even closer and seeing Tamu tearing up makes everyone feel it. That is the magic of music, no need to understand a word, the music itself and the intonation of the voice is enough to understand the meaning and feel all those emotions
Yeah. Tamu, the drummer, had been on hiatus from having a baby and she had just got back. That’s why they were all facing here through the whole video. They had only told her to learn the song, but then each gave a speech about how important she is to them. Also, it was Hazuki’s birthday. So, yeah the emotions were high.
There are lots of metal bands that can shred. A big test of their greatness is what they can do when they slow things down. It's not a coincidence that the most memorable songs of the great rock and metal bands are often their power ballads.
dude im with you ....its one of my favorites and i cant watch it without wanting to get teary eyed and some goosebumps ! and again with the "image" thing ...thats another thing that sets NEMOPHILA apart from most other bands ...they are just themselves ! NEMOPHILA 4 LIFE
@@retroislandboy9708 I don't know what you're talking about dude, my eyes just got itchy........................ Just kidding lol. Thank you so much for enjoying some music with me my friend, and thank you for the suggestions on where I should go next. Give me some time and I'll get there!
Yes, the ladies were crying, women, get so emotional...NO...I got something in my eye! It really is a very emotional song, and they brought that emotion to their music and the singing. I love this song and love the depth of this band and they can play any genre. This is my favorite band. Thank you for reacting to this video!
This is the best work they have done yet by far and they're just getting started. They are definitely my favorite new bands. They are better than anyting that has come out here in the states in years.
Hey man, I came across your channel following The Warning and decided to venture off into something else you've covered because you do a great job reacting for your audience. You did not disappoint! Never heard of Nemophila before. They are pretty darn awesome! This song is amazing! Very emotional! I'll be going down that rabbit hole now for sure. Music truly connects people despite language barriers. Thanks for this! Subscribed.
Thank you David, that's very cool of you to jump in and check out other reactions, I appreciate it! And you chose a good band to check out, Nemophila is great, and this is my favorite song of theirs still actually. Very heartfelt, the video is too! Let me know if you want me to check out anything specific and I'll put it on my list
@@Yeedeed I agree. When you can you should react to their songs off of their new EP Mayday such as Choke, Evolve, Martirio, etc. All their originals are great. Some ideas are XXI Century Blood off their first album and Dull Knives off their second album. Two great covers I like are Pretender by Foo Fighters and Atlas Rise (Live) by Metallica.
This was filmed at their virtual concert streamed last August during pandemic. Drummer Tamu had just come back few weeks prior, from giving birth to her son and nursing him. So as a new mom, the song is emotional for her. They turned their mics to face her. During guitar solos you can see Saki ask Tamu if she can get through the song live, Tamu nods. So for me my favorite ballad. They also celebrated Hazukis birthday there.
The live streams over covid have been fantastic these girls not only know how to play they also have a fantastic connection with each other, came together by chance and have become something special .Notice Hazuki's glasses hanging from the mike stand its a signature move now and came up in the live chat at the last livestream .Digging in to some of the covers will show you just how versatile they are and how much fun they have (minions is very creative ) .Thanks not many do a reaction to Life its a very good song .
Really enjoyed your reaction. Life is a wonderful song and Miyu’s vocals are fabulous here. You can hear the studio recording on the Oiran EP, but I like this live version even better Nemophila recorded a number of Japanese covers while Tamu was on maternity leave. What’s cool is that for each song being covered, the original drummer sits in on the session.
for me it's fine!! This song is the spirit, the soul of Nemophila !!! Life is life.... Friendship,talent,laugh...Cute and heavy . I love thèse Girls so i love this song
Yes, this song is a heavy metal tune with a heart. This is the universality of music, no matter the language. I don’t know how to describe it but, besides being so talented and skillful, Japanese women are also so charming and adorable. By the way, I guess that eventually you’re going to react to Lovebites, an amazing all-female Japanese (mostly) power metal band; great musicianship, two shredding guitars, nice vocals, uplifting lyrics and they really shine in their live performances. I recommend their latest MVs “Winds of Transylvania” and “Glory to the world”, and then their live performances “Thunder vengeance”, “Shadowmaker”, “Hammer of wrath”, “Break the wall”, “Rise some hell”, “Scream for me”, and especially “Dancing with the devil”, “Empty daydream”, “Eagle fly free” (Helloween cover), “Epilogue”, “Edge of the world” (all live if possible)
Yes the audio is polished up (prob the studio version) actually live version which was good too. This is from their first online concert. It was their encore performance.
take a dive into the japanese rock scene.very talented and diverse.i recommend band-maid, fate gear, aldious, mardelas and love bites..all have the rock/metal vibe but all different to each other and they all female like nemophila.
People keep talking about about Japanese female band like Babymetal, Band Maid & Lovebites, but they forget about Nemophila that more to modern metal genre.
Well Nemophila have only been a thing since late 2019 is why and they only have a handful of original songs, not even enough to make a full length album yet. So kind of hard to compare to the other bands you listed who have been around for a decade or so when it comes to recognition.
Hi. This band is good! One of my favorite topics ! LIFE 🤟 what a beautiful voice Mayu has. Where you are Mayu ?i liked your reaction 👍 greetings I suscribe
Brilliant reaction. New subscriber. Check out Monsters. Mayu is awesome on that too. All clean vocals. Also their cover of Kurenai is a blast. Lots of smiles and laughing thunder.
Sorry you didn't like the reaction my friend. I do this in every single video too, so I would advise to not watch any more of mine that you might see in search.

same. this is the Nemophila song I come back to the most. underrated imo. the heavier songs get all the attention.
It shows incredible versatility, these women can do what they want in music.
I watched a version with the English subtitles. The lyrics are beautiful and inspiring.
Yeah. Tamu, the drummer, had been on hiatus from having a baby and she had just got back. That’s why they were all facing here through the whole video. Beautiful Tamu, playing her heart out, face in tears. This performance of Life just automatically smashes the floodgates!😭💪🏻🤘🏻
Nemophila 😭 Tamu's baby will be a future rock star for sure like her Mom🤘 Hope Nemophila Fighter is next🎸🎌

What you are getting from these women is on their own dime. This is a passion project, and one I personally want to see go on for a long, long time.

ネモフィラのボーカルは最高だね😆👍✨
Great reaction. This song is so genuine and touching, it really deserves more attention. Nemophila 4 Life!
I like all their songs but this is the one that hooked me . Those vocals man
Love this song. Found it at a tough time and listening to it cheers me up. Great reaction

That feeling where your eyes itch 😉 is empathy, and I guess my eyes kinda itched too, hehe. This gave me chills too. Music spans language barriers!
I'm glad you liked this one too Gayle! I have watched their music video three times now and each time my eyes still get a little itchy! lol
@@Yeedeed There's an English subtitled version I watched today. Utterly beautiful song.

Nice! Next one nemophila -《zetsubou billy》cover please! Very great cover song, original by maximum the hormone🔥🔥🔥🙏
This should be the name of their first album.
There a video out on YT with the English subtitles. Good luck making it thru that...
I agree - I loved the song before I watched that subtitled version, but it adds a whole new level. This was a great reaction to watch.

We include Nemophila. But they're still new. And they are incredibly talented.
All Nemophila fans you can put subtitles in spanish 👍 greetings

Thank you for humming
TOTALLY ruined with the singing then the stopping, rewinding, stopping, rewinding. Amateur smh.
