I stopped eating after dinner and before bed. I also work out a ton, lifting weights and some tough ab work and cardio dance. I walk my 70# lab a mile everyday. I am 73 and benching 75#. It’s working and I have become addicted to the work. I have used personal trainers and have lost 30 lbs in the last year. I also eat a lot of protein. Still have some belly to part with, but it’s on his way out! I have been doing this for 9 years, increasing my work every year. I feel better than I have in years.
I am 65 years old, prediabetic and high blood pressure. I cut out all breads, pasta, rice, sugar, salt and I eat clean natural foods. For exercise, I workout on my rebounder (so much fun) and take 30 minute walks. My journey started Sept. 1, 2024 and in one month I lost 25 pounds. I have 70 pounds to go. I'm more energetic, I get better sleep, my blood sugars are going down, and my blood pressure is coming down slowly. I have a ways to go, and I'm so motivated to be healthy as when I was in my 20's.
That's amazing!!! SO many people (my husband included) could get off a lot of their medicines by making the lifestyle changes you're making. I'm proud of you! But don't cut salt out completely. We need it! Maybe once you get your BP sorted out, you can add it back in.
I have eaten low carb the past 18 months, lost 55 pounds and have maintained my weight since. It is really pretty simple, no sugar - no processed. At 60 years old my belly is flatter than it has been in 30 years. My bloodwork #’s have also improved and I no longer take any medications. It is the craziest thing. Who would have thought eating properly would make such a difference. Good luck with journey ❤
Great video! Encouraging too! I have lost 32 pounds since 6/4, and have another 20 to go, walking helps tremendously, but the pooch belly is not shrinking quickly enough. I am going to add these exercises. Yes- clean eating is key. And drinking water!
I’m a 56 year old mother of 3 daughters and grandma of 4 and diabetic with high blood pressure. I started working out and changed my eating habits on march 2nd and so far I’m down 27 lbs and have 100 lbs to go!! I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired!! I started doing chair exorcises for 30 minutes a day, I have gotten stronger and feel so much better but I definitely need to start doing more!! Thanks for your encouraging video!! I’m going to start working out standing up!!

If your not a fan of eggs like me. You can add fresh spinach and red onion or any other vegetables you like to the egg scramble. It’s a texture thing for me and adding veggies makes it more palatable, since I’m not a fan of eggs.
Thanks for the tip.. I am not a fan of eggs, just start to be able to eat them again as i was allergic to them... will still do hard boiled eggs a few x/week as they seem to be ok for digestion for me.. But really like her advices... hope it works....!!

I am 65 I found that fasting was actually what allowed me to be thin all my life. Yes at 65 I have gone through body changes so now I eat 2 meals a day with main meal around 1 or 2. No snacks which I never really did before so that was easy. I walk everyday and exercise
I'm 63 and this past summer I got real serious about my health. I fasted 3 days a week, drunk water religiously, ate better, walked for miles 2 x a day. and all this has saved my life.
I retired and we moved to a different city. I lost my walking buddies, the area where we now live has no sidewalks and has high traffic, so I don’t feel comfortable walking here. My parents began to have health problems, and I have spent a lot of time with them, which involved sitting in an adult living facility and hospitals (plus the six-hour drive to their home.) When my father passed away, I went into a funk and sat a lot. It was the perfect storm to put on weight. I’m tired of this but need some guidance. I’m excited about your timely video.
Serena, thank you for sharing. I turned 50 last year and now I’m going through perimenopause and dealing with body changes and weight gain. I love that the exercises are simple and easy to do at home. I am saving this video and going to use these tips.
I am 61 and lost 6 kg's in 1 month. I was not on a diet, I only ate when was hungry. Breakfast is not my thing but I had a cucumber smoothy with chia seeds, honey and ginger. At lunch I had a salad and chicken wrap / tortilla. For dinner I had a protein with lots of vegetables and even half a cup of rice. In essence: cut the carbs, do intermitting fasting 16/8; drink a lot of water with apple cider vinegar and lemon juice and cycle or swim for at least an 30 minutes. Very easy with no cravings. Good luck.🎉
Thank you Serena. You look great! I have been working out for over a year. I belong to the Y. I’m 73 and I feel great! I have lost almost 20 pounds eating more protein, fasting twice a week, no food after 6:30pm and going to the gym doing Zumba and Silver Sneakers 3 to 4 times a week.
I love this kind of video! I live in Paraguay where we eat much better with real foods. Ive been in the US for 6 weeks and traveling, O My! I feel so tired, almost nauseated at the end of each day. I can’t wait to get back to eating better.
Serena I so needed to hear this today. I recently had some blood work done and it wasn't good. I have already changed what I am eating, no bagels, pasta, bread and such. I think you are so on point. I will start to incorporate your exercises; thank you!
Hi 👋🏽 Serena! I just came across your channel. I love you already! I turned 60 in August and I’m on a weight loss journey. I’m currently down 82+ pounds. I love Dr. James as well. Thank you for sharing ❤ I’ve definitely subscribed and can’t wait to watch every thing on your channel ❤
Just turned 60 and I am bound and determined to get this extra weight off! This was perfect and so appreciate the references to the other instagramers. Thanks!
I’m 58 -5 ft 1/2 and now 119. All summer - Low carbs, very little sugar and limited processed clean food, brisk walk an hour a day or more- I started at 40 minutes to 8k steps then increased to 10k steps. Limited eating between 7pm to 11:00 am. I then incorporated hand weights at home. On my walks I alternate days and include 3x10 reps using park bench for seated tricep dips and angled push ups using back of the bench. On other days on my walk I do 3x 50 reps each of 3-4 various shoulder and arm movements while walking and knee ups for abs while walking, sometimes walking lunges. I lost 13 pounds and went from 36d to 34c cup, lost my bloat so from size 8 to a 4. Went from 132 to 119! I cheat on weekends when I go out- and I feel great!
I am a 77 almost 78 year old female who needed to lose a few pounds so I started doing Keto and lost my stubborn 10 pounds which put me back in my normal weight range. I also lost my belly fat which makes me very happy, I walk every day for 30 minutes, ride my incumbent bike and climb up to the 3rd floor every day. I eat 90 grams of protein every day which is not hard to do and I only eat 2 meals a day, fasting at least 17 to 18 hours, my last meal is at 6 pm and nothing after that until the next day at lunch time. I eat full fat everything, different types of meat, fish, dairy, eggs, bacon and some vegetables with some berries and nuts once in a while. I have not consumed any sugar in 3 months and don’t miss it at all, my skin has tightened up and has lost its crepe looking (which will happen when you age) my protein intake of 90 g solved that problem. Also my A1c is at 4.6 with my blood glucose being in the 80es, I also was able to ditch my blood pressure medication, yay! Climbing 60 stairs every day and all the other stuff I do for exercise is plenty for me and is keeping me in great shape for my age.
I would love to eat like this but I cannot. Dairy & eggs really mess up my GI track & I gave them up years ago. Bloat from food sensitivties is always an issue. I now eat soy & oat products instead of milk based. I'm glad you've found a program that works for you. Feeling better in/about our bodies is very important regardless of what the scale says :)
Thank you for your honest and helpful video. I have lost 28 pounds over the last 9 months and now I am having difficulty maintaining my weight. I know that I need to refresh my eating lifestyle and start weight lifting and walking. You have been motivating.
So happy this video showed up on my feed! I've been living the ketogenic lifestyle since June 2019, yet my body is changing & exercise is the key. These are great options for us. ❤
Okay I just did your recommended workout exercises and I have to tell you that these are just what I needed. Thank you again for your videos and for giving us something different that is really important for us. ❤🙏 This sets You apart from everyone else on UA-cam!!! 🥰
Very inspiring serena!!! I have lost over 100 lbs in the past few years, but have to deal with the bulges! No doubt that protein fuels and keeps us filled up!
I started following the same doctor a couple of weeks ago and I've lost 2 kilos but more importantly my belly has really gone down Cutting down on bread really seems to work for me Thanks for sharing X
Serena, are you still doing Intermittent Fasting along with this new eating plan and exercising? You look great! I am a newbie as I just discovered your channel and I so far love your content after binge watching for 2 hours!😄📺😅
Not strictly, no. But I don't eat on a set schedule. I eat when I'm hungry. Some days I'm hungry at 8:00 AM. Sometimes I'm not hungry til 11 or 12. I listen to my body.
Once i hit menopause I started gaining weight and none of my clothes fit. I was so discouraged and felt like a slug. I started working with a personal trainer virtually and he does all of this! I've lost weight, toned up and my energy is back. He tells me exactly what to do at the gym (exercises, reps, sets). The best part is no cardio 😂. Lots of walking but no cardio. I had no idea how much protein i actually needed. I love that you're able to share your success on a large platform to give these suggestions to help people who are going through the same thing.
@@StylewithSerena I should say no hardcore cardio like running! I had it in my head that I had to do workouts where I worked myself to death and had to sweat buckets in order to lose weight. I'm so happy that's not the case at all!
Hi Serena, I have been dedicated to going to the health club for decades. I go 5 times per week and enjoy outdoor activities too in the warmer weather. I worked a lot on my arms and it paid off. Lost my waistline as I got older. I saw your exercises on reducing belly fat and decided to incorporate your exercises to hopefully lessen my belly from sticking out and like you said, it'll help the clothes fit more comfortably. Thanks for the video and inspiration.
Great video! I know for sure low or no carb diets melts the fat right off. But for me, it is not-sustainable. I enjoy potatoes, pasta and rice and I do want them to be in my life to a degree. But I appreciate the exercises you shared and will give it a go. Thank you!
If you listened to my video, I said I am following this 90% of the time, which leaves opportunity for those things I crave. That way I don't feel deprived. I can't follow super strict "diets" either. This plan is sustainable for me. I still eat pizza on Friday night with my family, a small piece of chocolate here & there, etc.
Two eggs only have 12 grams of protein, that is not a ton... adding more than 2tbs of cottage cheese in necessary... Instead, I have protein smoothie that has 30 grams of protein along with collagen powder which adds more, then greens, flax seed and some berries My 22 year old son has 5 eggs in the morning... sometimes i have 2 eggs and 3/4 Cup of cottage cheese
Agree, 2 eggs is not a ton of protein. I add collagen to my coffee...about 10 grams of protein...turkey bacon or sausage and 2 eggs...About 30 grams of protein for breakfast. I might have a slice of whole grain toast. I don't think carbs are the devil. lol
I knew people would pick apart what I said. I also added that I eat some sort of breakfast meat when I feel like it. (Bacon or turkey sausage), and/or Greek yogurt & fruit or more cottage cheese & fruit. Guess y'all didn't hear that!
I needed these tops today. I have had my weight down to my best ever for three years. Now I need to firm up. Especially in the mid section. I will start your suggestions today. Thank you.
people are goofy. She is giving examples of what worked for her. She also said that was breakfast, you still got lunch and dinner to add your protein to meet your daily requirements. if you can eat more eggs or all your protein in one meal good for you..Some of us like to build up to it.
You have totally inspired me to try these exercises. Thank you for helping those of us over menopause. I have learned a lot through podcasts and your channels.
Love this route your taking with your channel! I use to subscribe to your channel and lost interest with You Tubers try on hauls. Love the new content. Would be interested in workout equipment and clothes they on hauls.
LOVE THIS, Serena!! Please keep this up!! I watch you all the time!! You really inspired me today!! I ran in and told my husband that we are changing our lifestyle!! Thank you!!!
I immediately went to this site when I saw it because I completely trust you to not be scamming us. I knew about the low carb part though I’ve slacked off it in the last few years. This gives me motivation to start again. But it’s the exercises that were totally new to me. Some looked really hard for me but I’m going to take your advice and just do what I can. Thank you, thank you Serena! I’d love to see this type of video on a little regular basis.
Loved this video Serena! Please do create more occasionally. I started "high protein, low carb" dieting about 45 years ago, and followed it when needed. Let me assure everyone that it works! I didn't count calories, I counted carb grams. Anyway, your exercise demo is exactly what I need at the moment! I'm 72 and need to focus on strength. Thank you so much ❤
Me too! I have also healed an autoimmune disease, no meds for 1.5 years. I'm mostly carnivore with dairy, ketovore on some days because I love pickles and salsa.😁
Hi Serena, I’m so glad that you put out a video like this! I eat salads and fruit but I know I’m not getting enough protein which is bad. My energy runs out. I can see how the exercises you shared could really help too! Thanks so much!
Thanks Serena! This was so helpful! I’ve been thinking I should get back to eating more protein. It really curbs hunger. The breakfast eggs recipe looks delicious. I’ll give this a try!
Thank you, Serena! Protein is my biggest challenge because I detest meat for the most part, but I will check out those pages you highlighted and take your advice. Currently on Day 4 of no flour, sugar or weekend night alcohol. Don’t have much to lose but sick of this menopausal body that, as you said, hit overnight when I turned 60, 2 years ago. I’m done with it! 😊
I have been using the Lose It! App. I was eating more than my body needed. Frankly, I exercise to enjoy some of my favorite foods. Just calorie counting on an app. Proportions are another factor. I've lost the weight and I'm maintaining it. I'm 62 years old.
Lots of wisdom here, Serena, thank you! I'm on the same journey, and I follow these tips, too! When we decrease carbs, we lose water weight, too. Sugar causes our bodies to retain water. Thanks again! 😊
Might I recommend rebounding! Nerd out on it's benefits and you'll never be sad you did. Plus it's tons if fun and can be done in winter when weather outside is bad.
I'm more of a low fat, low sugar person and enjoy some type of carb everyday. I've done these exercises in the past but I didn’t know they are so important. I dropped 25 pounds in 2016 and am now struggling to keep my 5'1” self at 130#. I'm 71 and fairly active so your exercises are welcome in my rotation. Than you. 😁
Such a great video Serena! I just turned 49 and really feel a dramatic change in my body over the last 6 months, it's getting harder to keep the belly fat away. You offered great tips that can easily be implemented. Protein and weights is crucial!
Love it! You inspired me to get back to it after enjoying a vacation/break. This is exactly what I needed to jump start me with the high protein, low carb eating plan and the workout routines. Thanks! I will be following your progress!
This was great! I love the standing ab exercises because I loathe getting on the floor and doing sit-ups! Yes, food is extremely important. I have trained my body to have only two meals a day. Eggs in the morning, no lunch and protein and veggies for dinner. 30 minutes of aerobic walking with HIIT and weights everyday day. The weight has come off slowly (14 lbs) but I did go down a pant size and went from a large top to medium. Nutrition is crucial. We need to eat the right foods! There is so much to learn on that subject! Thank you for the video!
Thank you for sharing your experience in how you are working to get rid of that belly! I also am trying the protein approach and real food. That makes a huge difference! I like to do 15 to 20 minute workouts with Petra Genco on UA-cam. Her exercises are similar to what you showed here. I try to do them every day and am upping my water intake! I need to get out a walk more! Thanks again! You have a cute little room there!
You were never big but I can definitely see a difference in your core and you are more toned. In Our Second Half Diet & Exercise is Key. I have Gut issues but the carnivore diet has been working for me. I feel so much better. Thank God!! 🙏 Thanks for Sharing!! 😊
Glad you found something that works for you. Flour and sugars are the culprits. Drop those and increase LEAN protein and vegetables and then you get your waistline back. Exercise helps but going very low carb and raising my lean proteins has helped me drop 40 lbs since last October and I’ve easily been able to keep it off. My cholesterol also dropped 30 points which was my #1 goal before the weight loss.
You're absolutely right! Americans are addicted to sugar and carbs. Just look at our obesity rate versus European countries. They don't eat like we do here.
This was awesome, thank you! May I ask, do you do all of these exercises every day or on a rotation? To share a few tips for anyone interested, use avocado oil when cooking with heat and olive oil for cold foods (better for heart health). Also Fairlife protein shakes are outstanding and have 30 g of protein per serving (low carb) available on Amazon or cheapest at Costco. Thank you for an amazing video!
@@HLpC4495 I don't do these exact ones every day. They are part of my rotation. Sometimes I do the a machines in the gym, sometimes she has me do different an exercises.
Thank you for all this dietary guidance and the exercises. I appreciate you sharing the 2 followers on UA-cam , I will check them out! You are looking great!

Thank you Serena , you’re always thinking about what’s best for us ❤
Thank you for the help.
That belly fat is very hard to deal with.❤
So happy this video showed up on my feed!
This sets You apart from everyone else on UA-cam!!! 🥰
@@nidyabaldwin8149 aw thank you so much!
Love this video. I have been looking for something like this that is sustainable.
Hi Serena I know I dont eat enough protein. My problem is the lower belly and would love to get rid of it. Thanks for a great video. ❤❤❤❤
The marching exercise is great for lower belly!!!
Very inspiring serena!!! I have lost over 100 lbs in the past few years, but have to deal with the bulges! No doubt that protein fuels and keeps us filled up!
@@mollyswanner1607 congrats on your weight loss!
I've followed him for years!!! I have a couple of his books. I've been in the keto/carnivore community for 6 years
I started following the same doctor a couple of weeks ago and I've lost 2 kilos but more importantly my belly has really gone down Cutting down on bread really seems to work for me Thanks for sharing X
Great video. Plan to start. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep it coming.
Thanks for the tips. Especially your food plan.
Walking IS cardio!
@@StylewithSerena I should say no hardcore cardio like running! I had it in my head that I had to do workouts where I worked myself to death and had to sweat buckets in order to lose weight. I'm so happy that's not the case at all!
Excellent tips Serena! I've already followed your suggested experts thanks to you😘
Hi Serena, I have been dedicated to going to the health club for decades.
Great idea to not feel deprived!!
Great video Serena! Love these videos! Thanks for all you do to keep us stylin!😃
Thank you Serena! This is so so very helpful! The exercises don’t look hard to do and the sample menu looks delish as well! 😊
Thanks so much for sharing these exercises with us! Do some of them, but will add the rest to my routine! Loved this video format.
Thank you.
Protein powders aren’t real food and are best avoided. I prefer to get my protein from real, whole food sources. ❤
people are goofy.
Remember, you can't spot-reduce. And diet is 80% of it. The exercises alone won't work without some diet changes plus cardio.
Thank you for this video. Very encouraging and great tips. And yes, keep sending us more videos like these. Great video!❤
Good tips Serena, thanks for the encouragement. Yes please keep adding them in!
Love this route your taking with your channel! I use to subscribe to your channel and lost interest with You Tubers try on hauls. Love the new content. Would be interested in workout equipment and clothes they on hauls.
I really needed this video. Thank you ❤
LOVE THIS, Serena!! Please keep this up!! I watch you all the time!! You really inspired me today!! I ran in and told my husband that we are changing our lifestyle!! Thank you!!!
Thanks for these ideas. I'll give them a go and add them into my low carb intermittent fasting regime.
Great video, thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much ❤
I’m 65 been trying to become much healthier this video is what I been looking for thank you so very much.
Serena, what an amazing and useful video, came at a perfect time and you have truly inspired me - thank you 🤩🤩🤩
Thanks. Looking into some kind of diet. And work out. This was very helpful. 😊
Loved this video!! Yes please provide more exercise and diet content. This is so helpful ❤
Been ketovore a long time now...mostly meat based. Im also increasing my movement. I feel amazing and I'm losing inches in menopause.
Loved this video! Thank you so much! This fitness journey is not an easy one but it is so worth it! Any help is much appreciated.
Protein isn't only found in meat! Plain greek yogurt, cottage cheese, fish, salmon, shrimp, etc. are all great sources of protein!
Great video! So helpful with the information and the exercises Please do more videos like this.
Might I recommend rebounding! Nerd out on it's benefits and you'll never be sad you did. Plus it's tons if fun and can be done in winter when weather outside is bad.
Very good ab exercise, they really do work to whittle the sides and belly
I'm more of a low fat, low sugar person and enjoy some type of carb everyday. I've done these exercises in the past but I didn’t know they are so important. I dropped 25 pounds in 2016 and am now struggling to keep my 5'1” self at 130#. I'm 71 and fairly active so your exercises are welcome in my rotation. Than you. 😁
High protein is a game changer! You look great!
Such a great video Serena! I just turned 49 and really feel a dramatic change in my body over the last 6 months, it's getting harder to keep the belly fat away. You offered great tips that can easily be implemented. Protein and weights is crucial!
Great content! We all need that encouragement. Do you mind to share how you prepare your proteins for lunch and dinner? Thank you!❤
Awesome, Serena! Thank you for sharing and encouraging women. God bless you!
Love the video on working out post menopausal. Trying the workout & it's fun! Thx for sharing.
Thank you so much for this “right on time” video! I’m inspired to incorporate these exercises. Blessings
Thank you I just love your honesty with us middle age woman with menopause
You were never big but I can definitely see a difference in your core and you are more toned. In Our Second Half Diet & Exercise is Key. I have Gut issues but the carnivore diet has been working for me. I feel so much better. Thank God!! 🙏 Thanks for Sharing!! 😊
Thank you Serena! This is very helpful. It’s nice to hear from you your struggles and success!
More of this content would be appreciated!
I love these tips. Thanks! IF works great for me. You are right. You cannot exercise or run a bad diet. They work hand in hand.
Thank you so much, Serena! I love your videos! I am 60 years young this year and I think this will really help me. Thank you again so much!!!!❤
I'm so glad!
Love this video! Thank you for adding ideas to my weight lifting program that will help my middle.
Thank you for all this dietary guidance and the exercises. I appreciate you sharing the 2 followers on UA-cam , I will check them out! You are looking great!
You have become one of my favorites on UA-cam. You are so real and down to earth. I love your fashion videos, and I’m loving the fitness ones also. It’s very uplifting. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much!!
Great video, as always. I have a hip and knees situation, but I appreciate your inspiration to do something, with the nutrition, as well. 😊
This is a great video. Thanks for demonstrating.
Thank you for the quick workout! Feel the burn. And it’s something different!
