It's clear that it's taken a lot out of you, though, and I hope that very soon you can move on to something more enjoyable. • @broken_rebirth
      @broken_rebirth 20 днів тому

      I agree with you. You can only really rely on yourself because you can't always get the support and acceptance from family and friends that you need. in reality it's just how most humans are. Unreliable people who think they don't lie or cheat or steal but do these things without even realizing it. I too am on the spectrum like Victoria and I find that because I'm so literal and very black and white I've found if I'm not hyper vigilant and dot all my I's and T's and lay out solid boundaries things go more smoothly. In general people just expect me to be okay with random bullshit that is illogical and makes no sense. Like being given a quote. If you're quoted X you expect this, give or take a few bucks within that limit and it's way more than that, I'd say no, you quoted this. So I'm taking my business elsewhere. I used to be afraid of confrontation when people would try to take advantage of me and my situation, but now I feel I have nothing to lose and no time to waste on BS people. So with everything I just give all the relevant info and boundaries I'm working with make it clear to contact me if things will not work out that way ahead of time, and if it doesn't fit that spec, I'm out. I don't need that stress in my life. That's the only way I've found to "deal" with unreliable people, dishonest people, incompetent people, wishy-washy people, etc. because I just don't speak the same language and my brain is just different all together. I invest ample time and plan and ensure as much as I can that is within my power that I will not be 'THAT' type of person. I have control over my actions, and how I approach a solution to a situation and most people just act impulsively and give 0 fucks. They just throw themselves into things with no forethought and end up screwing up another's life experience. So many people just spout bullshit because they are too lazy to invest hte time to really figure shit out and most of the time facts can be procured and a fair resolution can be made. So to reduce disappointment and stress I feel it's easier to just be direct, no nonsense, this is what I expect, if you cannot deal, that's fine--I'm out. Thankfully I'm a loner introvert so I don't need human contact. I just need something mentally stimulated to feel fulfilled. And there's so much to learn that I'm always entertained. But anyway I really feel bad stuff like this keeps happening to Victoria. She's such a nice person and people just take advantage of it.

    • @rabajdajr3001
      @rabajdajr3001 19 днів тому

      You're not far off. I'm not going to say you can't trust anyone, but it's a lot fewer people than you would think, probably not more than what you can count on one hand. Most people will abandon or make excuses when things get tough. We have become a throw away society where people would rather give up and start again instead of working on it. It's true, you really don't know who is going to be a true friend in the end. Hopefully it's your family, but as we see even your own love ones can be monsters. It's more of a savage animalistic life than we admit. Especially in this dumbed down PC culture we are now experiencing. Hard lesson but trust in yourself first and anything else is a bonus, but count on yourself in the end, only you can properly guide and protect yourself. Godspeed

    You're right, it shouldn't be that way. You just look for the good in everyone and everything. There's nothing wrong with that, but it needs tempering with an understanding that the good we want to see isn't always there. loctite on the ceiling. Turn the roof upside down so you're not fighting gravity and add weights on top after application to help compress it down. Let it dry for 48 hours or 72 if youre leaving it outdoors when drying. You could also use panel bonding tape in addition.

    Use 1/4 inch plywood, scrape the glue off of the ceiling, then glue the new 1/4 inch plywood to the roof and then screw using the proper size screws. I watched your other video and I remember you unscrewing a ton of screws, so use that screw size to ensure you don't poke thru the roof. You may need to adjust the screw size but use construction screws, hope you get it back together to look good.

    • @TorieRobot
      @TorieRobot  23 дні тому +1

      That won’t work unfortunately. 1/4 inch is way too heavy and there’s nothing to screw into for the panel there’s just styrofoam underneath

    I'm pretty sure 3 M red double sided tape (like 3M GPT-020) would fix your paneling problem. I've used it when I worked in manufacturing. To test it I tapped two pieces of wood together. When I pried them apart it actually pulled wood out of one of the boards.
    The stuff is crazy strong, heat and water resistant. It's pricey. But I used it to attach tiles for a back splash and a few other projects.
    Maybe put an arch inside the roof to get the low spot out.
    Good luck.

    First, just to brighten your day a bit, let me say you are simply stunning with the new 'do. My jaw literally dropped a bit. Not kidding, very pretty. Enough said on that. Next....Yes, a lot people suck, but don't loose all faith. Not everyone is an a-hole...just most. Learning to spot the ones that will screw you over takes unfortunate experience, which sadly you now have some more of. NOW....on to the roof.
    Given that you spend lots of time in the desert I would say a minimum of 1" of foam to keep it from being such a sweat box in the sun. It is cheaper by the 4'x8' sheet which you can cut into smaller segments. Perhaps 18" or 2' x 2'' squares or shapes. That way if one bit turns loose the whole sheet won't come down. Cover them individually in cloth which will keep the weight down and make any future fixes much easier to deal with. It would also allow the possibility of doing various patterns/styles to liven things up vs just a plain solid color ceiling. Your innate country girl creativity could come to the fore in any way you deem cool.

      100% clear silicone. It's waterproof. Use it in spots, but use a can of spray on contact glue to hold it in place til silicone drys. The kind used for headliners. Spray the roof and the wood, wait til tacky, then put together and use some type of roller to press them together.

    • @feellnfroggy

    lattice could be glued to the ceiling and then the paneling could be glued and screwed. When using glue...apply to both sides then press both pieces together then pull apart give it 10 or more or less depending on circumstances so it's nice and tacky then back together. Using a T to prop and pressure while drying and curing and curing takes longer then the dry. Hope this helps, Victoria.

    🧡I feel the same way about my house. Can't wait to sell that place and be full nomad (goal date Sept 2025). So tired of dealing with this s**T (alone too). I already signed the lease for an office/UA-cam studio/storage locker/bike storage/PO BOX (all at the same place LOL) starting March 2025. Not everybody is sh*tty. Don't lose hope / your "naivety" (you won't😉) There are tons of great people. Looks like everyone is having a bad streak lately. Take care 🧡

    Level about $12.00 a tube put thin Layer with a Puddy scraper would probably held the wood on but now that you got the top back on a would'nt recommend trying that, you'd have to press the wood somehow for 4 or 5 days to make sure it sticks good, But when it drives you ain't getting it off. only other thing I could suggest is take A good paint and some kind of canvas That's gonna be hard now too since you got the top back on would've been great to try either one of these with the top off But with the canvas and paint you would paint inside the top, lay the canvas and paint over the canvas again and let it all dry, Some people call that a poor man's Fiberglass, peace girl

    Hi Victoria , I just started watching this video, I'm in at 1:51 right now. I feel for your dilemma, I truly hope that you can get thing's resolved and feel better about your purchases. I do wish you the best. You are to sweet to have these kind of issues. ❤ Your hair looks better. I would love to see what it would look like in it's natural state. Is there any way that you could make braces on the inside to raise the top to make it a little higher to keep the water from coming in? Maybe some bracket or something like that. Kind of like a rafter. I didn't like watching you suffer, but I do like watching you.

    I sealed the roof of are RV using black jack roof tar then once that dried I used flex seal paint. Over the tar. 4 years so far no leaks!!!! My wife and remodeled a pop up trailer and are RV. Other than paint and cabinet hardware. We used peal and stick flooring super cheap and can be cut with a knife. Water and scratch resistant. Personally I think that made the remodel!! Also used wallpaper for an accent wall. And peal and stick tile for back splashes. Easy things made all the difference!!!

    Also ive remodeled a 5th wheel before and ran into all the camper problems you are having. Was able to fix all the inside but the roof, i highly suggest a professional to seal the roof. I did it myself multiple times and it didnt fix it. Where the professional fixed a problem i didnt even know was there and its been waterproof and draining well since.

    Having reached the age of 56 I've become rather tainted and, I'm sad to say, I could probably think of 100 people I'd wish your roof on! (in this world, I probably only 100% trust my wife and dad). It's good that in the future, I'll be able to say to bad folk "I curse thee with the roof of Victoria"!

    Not being able to crank up the roof was your 1st red flag. But you got it fixed! So now your stronger because of it! Good on you, just keep pushing through it. More problems = more knowledge & experience. You may not realize it now, but your higher self is prepping you for the future.

    I learn in life that It's better to be anxious and take time now then be 10 time more anxious and take 10 time the amount of time on the road to fix leak temporally during a pouring day that damp everything and get you cold and get you the cold. Also, I learn when you build or repair, you create beauty.
