As an avid naraka player, I highly recommend this game. To explain a bit about what went on in this video, because this was a brand new account and at the lowest rank possible, Luke was playing against bots. He didn’t realize that, which is fine, but something to understand is that bots at low rank are intended to help players adjust to the game and learn the combat system. Once you reach silver-gold you start to see a lot more real players, and once you’re in platinum or higher, bots are few and far between. At that point you can just think of them as walking loot-boxes that need to be defeated. This game has an insane amount of depth to the combat system and it rewards practice and effort in a way that no other game does for me. If fast paced and competitive gameplay is something that you enjoy, you will have a blast with this game once you learn the fundamentals.

@@YunGGenO77 not really if you're profile level is below 10 with the video's case is he was 7 if i was correct then that means even if he plays rank mode and aslong as he's in bronze and hasn't played enough he's fighting bots, not to mention you can really tell if it's a bot or not they seldomly use grapples to engage or escape, they don't capitalize when their skills hit, and most of the time they're training dummies, in high ranking lobbies at times there can also be bots and bots in these lobbies are more annoying to deal with because they have a 0 ping parry meaning if you ever decide to use a focus attack right off the bat it's gonna get parried which incentives players to feint often or play alot better in general i'm not trying to belittle the video or anyone new who's gonna play the game but those early matches especially matches not out of gold will have alot of bots even more so if you're from NA or EU because they have a very low number of players
if you want to try the game have in mind that it is really really hard and since the playerbase is a little small you will get paired with strong players from time to time, and they will destroy you so i recomend to find someone who can teach you the basics, also the first rankeds matches you are paired against mostly bots and the higger you get the less bots you will find and lastly right now the game is having a free trial and matches you with other new players and bots, still the game is really fun if you have the patient to learn it

Melee based combat … here is an automatic crossbow. 😮
The ranged options are more like options to do some extra damage before people approach each other or trying to catch someone running away on low health. You will almost never see someone win a fight with ranged weapons alone if they are both at a decent skill level

It's a fun game just keep in mind if you start playing it you'll be fighting bots for a good long while till you meet an actual player and get your teeth kicked in
It's really difficult to find an honest review when every Naraka video I click on has been sponsored by them.
I love their confidence, its also 100% justified.. its one amazing and unique game.
For all the people that only get to know Naraka from this Video.. its just fair to say.. all you have seen here is barelly the beginning.. the basics.. the more "end game" or advanced you get with the gameplay.. it gets so much more intense.. with all the mobility and combos... also solo is great.. but trios with a proper Team is so much fun aswell! Also they are freakin collabing with Nier Automata soon... Play the game. Support it. Even for Battle Royale dislikers like me.. this is just worth it.

About the engagement, gotta say that ppl do not like dying. So depends on the time to kill of the game, it gonna define how ppl play the game. Basically lower ttk -> camp more, higher ttk -> more combat because you won't die instantly after engaging.
For example, Warzone with superfast ttk, ppl tend to camp more, while in Apex Legends ppl will engage and try to fight more

The game has a high ttk in solos low ttk in trios because of team combos if your team is that good but then again there are alot of characters who can interrupt combos as an ability and the movement tech in the game woth dodges etc have so much flexibility that it makes every engagement fun and expressive trying to run away is not as easy compared to other BR's because of the grappling mechanics but it's compensated by knowing the movement mechanic and being good at parkour in general
I played it when it first came out. I really enjoyed it for what kind of game it is. On top of that, I'm actually quite good at it, which surprised me, I figured I'd be getting crushed like in other Battle Royale games I have played.
Never heard of the game but this looks so fun, sadly I suck at PVP so Ill just stick to watching you play

He did play against bots. They want new people to stick with the game so your very first game will be with bots, even in quick match mode they will fill up the map with some bots. Once you get to ranked mode that's when you started to play against the real players.
when the game is in free trial mode you would only get paired against others that are trying the game and bots if i remember correctly
They are bots there isn't enough players to even make a game. I had to wait 40 mins to find a game full of bots. He had to be payed to do this. I'll never believe he's being sincere this game is awful. It's full of Chinese hackers when you get a game. It's the most horrible battle royal ever. And no they don't just put new players against bots there is literally no one playing.

It's very good these days. The freighter update and other recent updates have added so much depth to the game. Its a whole lot of fun. I highly recommend it. You can basically have a floating starship base and a convoy of freighters.

Sadly not really playable in Europe. Full of hackers, Lagswitchers/Ping abusers from Asia... and the most other u'll see are bots.
This is one of my only BR that I like to play. I actually want a single player game in this style, the movement and the combat alone is super exciting

if you have any fighting game experience then it will not be too much of a problem
It's a small player base so after the first few matches (which are against bots) it'll be a big skill gap. But videos like these usually help more beginner player balance for a few days.
the best i can recomend you is to find a veteran player that can help you or watch some guides, channels like hkboba or osk gaming can help you understand the basics and if you want to see how far does skill gets right now the biggest tournament for naraka ended and you can see the pros in the twitch channel

As much as I loved this game. It's biggest downfall is everything you've mentioned unfortunately. The reason you see " everyone rush in " is because most of the enemies you're going against are bots. You mostly only go against 5-10 real players per game. Play the game long enough you'll notice the difference between real players and bots, and when your going against real players combat is WAY slower.
Are you playing on Xbox by any chance? On steam the player base it a lot bigger

Yeah there'd golden scrolls and purple scrolls the golden ones are mission ti do for money that you can spend at shops around the map and the purple ones are bounties

How did you ever find a game without Chinese hackers doing insane things. Crossplay on this game is the worst pc versus console there's no comparison. All the pc players decimate. Last I tried to play it took forever to try and find a match. When I did find a match it was all bots because no one is playing thus game now. How did you even find a game? I just can't see the plus sides of this game. So much wrong with it.
Come to the steam side if you are serious about the game, I play almost daily on the solos ranked ladder and I'm currently around the top 250 solos player in NA. If you play on Steam NA server you will find a game within 10 minutes unless you are playing during the off hours. There's a real, relatively small, but incredibly dedicated community here in NA, if you'd like proof of that before jumping into the game you could check out any of the bigger Naraka streamers on Twitch. Unfortunately on the Xbox gamepass side there isn't much of a player base and the ranks are hyper inflated, so you'll have to make sure you are playing on NA Steam version like I said before.

I tried this game out 2 days ago with a friend and it was really fun but it has 1 HUGE problem that is honestly a deal breaker for me.
Because over 90% of the playerbase of this game is in asia, NA and EU have a big Bot problem and most of the Lobbies I've been in were full of bots.
Some people in this comment section are saying that its just in your first couple of games but thats just not true. We've been playing for over 7 Hours and the Lobbies were still full of them. I've also read that it gets better when you unlock ranked and rank up to Gold/Plat but even then you'll have Bots in your games, that's just ridiculous imo.
Oh and if you look at the steam reviews it apparently has a Chinese smurf/ping abuse problem as well so all in all it's basically unplayable or at least SUUUUPER hard (even harder than a game with these mechanics already is) to get into.

I can't really comment as I've not played the game - but from an outside perspective it seemed like most of the players you fought in that match were bots - a lot of their behaviour in fights made no sense and showed nothing like the level of responsiveness you'd expect from at least some of them.
That and the person in second only having 1 kill - like it's kinda absurd to imagine the one game luke chooses to record he just casually gets 17 kills and then wins.
I know it's actually quite common for some battle royales to give you games on servers with high bot counts so that you can get easy wins/kills and it boosts your morale to keep playing the game, when in reality in a battle royale scenario with equally skilled opponents you should be expecting to lose the majority of the time unless playing very cheesily (not engaging and avoiding risk), or being exceptionally skilled.
People finally got this to run on Steam Deck, and it makes me so happy. I always wanted to play this since before I got a pc, and now I can. I played Hunter Legends or whatever it was called on ps4 when it came out and loved it, but it was abandoned immediately. It released about the same time as this, and both were very much made in the same vein, but this one looks much better and ISNT abandoned!

I really liked your video about this game, and sincerely I've looked for another types of game because I get bored from the games that are now "popular", so after seeing your video I decided to purchase the game. Just to 1 minute after the game loads up to sadly see that the game does not have a server in South America, it's so sad to see that the devs doesn't care about the people from SA, either way I get it, a dev said in a reddit post that they don't have a server here because the player base it's not as big as in other places in the world, I get the point but the playerbase here will not increase if they don't put servers to play at a decent ping, I had to request a refund but I really wanted to play it.

Yep, not only does the controls feel much more freeing on mouse and keyboard, the player base on Steam is also much larger than Xbox, so if you are serious about the game I'd highly recommend giving the steam version a go, it's where the best players are. You can still stick with controller even on steam. If that's what you want you should check out DavOnEdge on Twitch, he's probably the best controller player NA. If you do tell him Lemon sent you 😆
my favorite battle royale for theast two years has been Spellbreak. It goes offline in less than a month, and I'm sad about it.

I love Naraka but there are way to many bots, even in ranked.
You could either be playing on Xbox servers or just haven't played more than a few games on steam. You just gotta play the steam version and get through a couple first matches in ranked and you'll find real players. I play this game almost everyday and the lobby are always almost full of real players with no more than 5 filler bots per match
@@lemoniscate Yes, I am now platin and i get player lobbies. But I played 163 hours on steam and can say than qm is 100% always bot lobby and ranked mostly until silver as well. And that is just to long. And yes i am playing with xbox players, is there an option to not allow that?
@@floshizu8449 congrats on plat! yeah quick match just isn't worth it sadly. What I meant by Xbox servers was if you were playing on Xbox or through game pass, because there's a lot of bot lobbies on there, but if you are playing on Steam then it's all good. i know on Xbox there is an option to turn off cross play but I don' t think that's an option on PC
