    Crudité has gotten a bit of a bad rap in the past, but Molly is here to turn that reputation right around. In this episode, Molly makes a supremely creamy, whipped feta dip that gets spiced to perfection with charred jalapeños and a fresh pepper relish. She then shows us how to really love on our crudité, by properly chopping and seasoning them so that they become far more crave-able than your average plate of raw veggies. All this to say--bring this platter to your next party.

    You could definitely make that dip with a stick/hand blender which are very affordable and take up very little room in your kitchen.

      Big jalapeños of a consistent green color (not streaked) are pretty mild with the seeds removed, but this should be just fine with an Anaheim Chile if you really don’t like heat!

      I found out the hard way Haps give me heartburn 😭 had no idea what heartburn was until I ate some haps on a fish taco and man. The pain the next day sucked sooo bad. So I sadly have to stay away from jalapeños 😩

      The trick is it to blanch them for crudite. Raw broccoli is not fun to bite into, but blanching in salted water first makes a better dipping vehicle.

      Broil them! If they aren’t charred after 5 minutes, check on them every 2 minutes or so. I turn mine over after the 5 minutes to get them charred on the other side, and give the pan a shake every time I check them.

      Love the videos but feels like a bummer when words in a different language are misspelled. Ñ is actually a different letter than N and it makes the language and culture the food comes from feel unseen when not spelled correctly. (Crudité was also misspelled)

      how is mispronunciation disrespectful ? Genuinely curious, as we all have an accent…

    • @katemorenaspeaks
      @katemorenaspeaks Рік тому

      @@Cool-yh5cz Great question! Mispronunciation itself might not always be disrespectful, especially when someone is genuinely trying. In this case, the concern stems from the intentional alteration of the pronunciation and presentation of the word 'jalapeños.' It's important to recognize that discussions about cultural sensitivity and appropriation can be nuanced. While mispronunciations are a common part of language acquisition and we all have accents, there's a difference between genuine attempts to learn and adapt to new words versus intentionally Americanizing them.

    • @cwg73160
      @cwg73160 Рік тому

      You’re being way too sensitive. The only concern here is you trying to be concerned when there isn’t any reason to be concerned. You should be ashamed of yourself.

    • @Cool-yh5cz
      @Cool-yh5cz Рік тому

      Fair, but I might see more molly trying to do her best here than Americanize it, but I see your point.
