one wrong thing they did is yes policy says cuffed but if you have shoulder issues and are reasonable we can cuff you in front it's much more comfortable and not pulling your shoulder out of the socket if you lean back.literally could've stopped this entire panic attack cuff her in front let her hit her vape we give people cigs all the time she's not an armed gang member she's mentally still a child the pre-frontal does not develop fully until 26
@@Aaron-zu3xn Ellie herself explains in this video that they changed the age for vaping from 18 to 21. She is under arrest in handcuffs and police custody. The police cannot and should not assist Ellie in illegally consuming a controlled substance. She also never stated she had a shoulder issue or showed any signs of having one. She complained that her handcuffs hurt, which is something they do. Moving them to the front would not alleviate her pain, it would just make it easier for her to continue racking up crimes.
@@Aaron-zu3xnshe never said she has shoulder issues she said she has a scar. She didn’t want to be in handcuffs because that is the ultimate “you are under control”. this chic has rarely been under control her entire life so it’s likely very overwhelming. You can’t take chances with someone like that.
@@hamzaelalamiIKR. From the get go she was very curt. “Put your butt right there”. Unprofessional at best. What strikes me is that they “had a call” so she is guilty off rip. Just to note. Drunk drivers are bad. However. The girl was parked and I’m not sure what she was doing. Apparently those cops already convicted her even though she was intoxicated. Woman cop was horrible IMO.
Seems that way to me. You can't actually control what other people are going to do. But the female cop fully kept her composure throughout the arrest and proceedings, which is something that can only be said of very few in the force. As fucked up as *that* is. She spoke slowly, calmly, kindly, in a trained soothing tone meant to be comforting, a life raft for a tweaking person having a breakdown to cling on to. When she was met with the obstinate, whiny mental gymnastics that a non-rookie cop would *expect* from a *child* addicted to multiple substances she responded correctly. Used her name often. Made as much eye contact as possible. Explained the situation repeatedly, to provide incentive to calm down. Sympathized with her and showed her kindness. Tried to help her stop what became a legitimate panic attack, multiple times, with trained methods. This girl who is barely legal and very much still a child is unfortunately, *addicted* to drugs and alcohol. Judging by the massive panic attack, I'd say she's been self medicating for anxiety, probably for years now. I genuinely pity the iPad kids, with enabler parents. She's genuinely an addict, freaking out, so she's so desperate that she manages to *take a hit of the drug she legally can't do, in front of the cops arresting her*, so that gets added to her charges. Like, it's good that she got arrested. We need to keep drivers like her off the roads, for everyone's sake including hers. She's so young, and needs help more than strict legal punishment. But this will hopefully be the hard lesson that starts her onto recovery. As for the cop, I wish there were more of them like her. She did everything she could, to deescalate that clusterfuck. She tried her best to work with Emily, make it as quick and painless as possible. She treated that kid like a human being. She had care, for her. We don't have nearly enough of that, in the force.
I agree but I found the female cop to be unnecessarily argumentative and patronising to begin with. She has a narcissistic tone about her. Just an opinion.
@Simonize41 That female cop was horrible! And unnecessarily stoked the drama instead of calming & de-escalating the situation. She continued to patronize, accuse, man handle & incite fear with her words. Terrible job.
I'm pretty sure when a vehicle is parked in a lot that's private property that can't cops don't have jurisdiction on unless a crime was committed and with the car off they have no right to make a traffic stop. She did make it worse but If she was educated she would actually know her rights and wouldn't have gotten out of the car
@@chrismn3068also a vehicle parked on a private property that does not belong to that private property and is there without permission from that property is the core definition of trespassing. So who do you think called the cops on her? My guess it was probably the person who owns that property. At which point now the police have jurisdiction. Now they can do their job.
Yes you can. You can revoke consent at any time. The fact is, many officers ask for consent even when they don't need it. She had tons of probable cause as was explained in the video, including plain sight doctrine, and did not need consent. In a situation where the is no probable cause and they need consent, you CAN revoke this consent at anytime, unless they've already found something illegal, which would give them probable cause to continue. Consent in ALL forms is revokable, up to and including sexual consent.
She had moved the vodka. The office said it was in her door, the girl gave her permission the check the door, not search the vehicle. She can revoke consent in this case as the scope of the search changed. The best advice, NEVER consent to a search, not ever. Politely say, "my cousin would kill me, he is a lawyer and every single Thanksgiving he tells us all, over and over, to never consent to a search and always say nothing, so I am going to refuse any and all consent and remain silent for the remainder of this interaction. Can I call my lawyer please?"

Have you guys ever pulled up next to a cop at red light when theyre transporting a person whos acting like this? Its the funniest thing. I had it happen and I looked at the cop with a face of "Long night huh?" and he looked so done with it. He shrugged at me while smirking and kept going when the light was green and I could hear screaming getting quieter and quieter as he went down another street
That's a good example of Doppler shift 😂 This young woman is an entitled brat - but she isn't crazy. She's trying to be as crazy as she can be, thinking she both deserves special treatment and will get special treatment the more hell she raises.. While that might work on her parents, it doesn't work on police because police have to protect you from yourself. Once she goes nuts, they can't. It's a liability issue. When she keeps acting like a lunatic they HAVE TO give her "the wrap". I've never seen that before, but it's an excellent device and I'm glad they have it. They used to have to cuff the wrists and the lower legs, then put something that looks exactly like a dog leash (loop on one end, carabiner-like clip on the other) to connect the 2 sets of cuffs. I'm glad they've got a better device now. It looks like it's very effective at preventing both self-harm and harm to others.

I could listen to the female officer talk all day, she is so calm and soothing but she does NOT pander to the dramatics. Very impressive. She is obviously used to negotiating with toddlers, apparently it's a vital skill needed by cops these days. They have to deal with so much entitled and immature behaviour from grown adults.
I hope she sees this and keeps it as a reminder of why she needs to be in recovery. Her behavior sucks and is uncalled for..... However, being in recovery myself, my heart broke for her as I watched her crumble from having to face the reality of her relapse. I've been in recovery for 10.5 years and praise God I've never relapsed, but I still remember the day I had to finally face the reality of my addiction. It is such a dark, lonely, scary and desolate place. But it's at that low point that I became desperate enough to get help. I pray Ellie has found the gift of desperation and can get back into recovery. She's got a lot she needs to address within herself; but if I can do it, so can she.

Yeah okay maybe they are too soft, but sometimes you can tell when the person getting arrested is just being aggressive cause they think they are tough, or they are just acting out because of stress. Maybe cops do choose a bad time to be soft and act like the counsellor and try to talk things out when the person is still too upset, but it's always nice to see cops be more understanding of what someone is going through. Watching her smugness slowly fade as she realized that exigent circumstances have created probable cause for them to search her is a beautiful thing. The concept of “plain view” is so nice especially for people like this. @hamzaelalami some people are just ..." Unmanageable"😅

You can't consent to an officer opening your door and then say that you have a right not to have your car searched.
And she doesn't care about the emotional meltdowns of girls who date dudes that say axe instead of ask.
I LOVE the "MAGICAL" handcuffs, changes a person's demeanor IMMEDIATELY
❤❤
she was given 2 years of probation so, she'll be forced to stay clean and sober, FOR TWO YEARS, or else go back to jail or prison or whatever. either way, this is surely a great thing for her. sad that her parents couldnt have just done better
Um, this should be the shown to any potential life partner and employer for this fine specimen. Gentlemen, court this at your own peril.
I would bet if you showed this video to her, she would laugh about it. Until she gets some real consequences to her actions, she is not going to take any of her behavior seriously.
@@gustav-no8rz oh, this video went mini-viral across platforms connected to her full name, and it will be plastered across the internet like that forever. someone even made a subreddit that's just her full legal name, just about this video, lol. so safe bet everybody at her work (past/present/future) and school, all her friends and family, etc, all have seen this, and anyone she ever has any involvement in from here on out, always will. so she'll always be known by everybody but strangers for doing this..... no moving past this for her.
also consider, she got TWO YEARS probation.
now, for someone like me, probably someone like you, two years of probation is hardly a thing.
but for a girl who has already had to make a point to strive for sobriety (and even then can only manage California sobriety.... and is lying about that too, lol) by the time she is 18 years old, who has such a complete lack of self-control, and inability to deal with any negative situation or emotions.... who thinks tantrums are appropriate, AS AN ADULT..... successfully completing two years of probation, is probably impossible.
especially when you consider that they'll be drug and alcohol testing her throughout, possibly with a patch that stays on her, so ANY drugs or alcohol, every, no matter how she times it, gets caught.... she very likely can not do it. she'll violate and get locked up.
and if THIS girl somehow actually becomes a person who can successfully stick to the terms of her probation, she's become at least a somewhat better person than what she was at the time of filming. because this girl we see in the video, SHE'D not be able to handle probation, no way.
but yeah, even being a spoiled rich girl with a private lawyer, she wasn't able to weasel out of consequences from this. she will become a better person, or she will become a jailbird. and she's never going to outrun the humbling experience of EVERYBODY who knows her, watching this privately, laughing hysterically, and giving her knowing looks. hehe
That female officer was so sweet trying to calm her down! I was getting mom vibes from her 🥰
They are too soft with them
@@deborahclark2558yeah what I thought as well but hey It was 2022 can’t do nun about it
Mom vibes doesn't belong in being arrested, they need complete firmness
Yeah okay maybe they are too soft, but sometimes you can tell when the person getting arrested is just being aggressive cause they think they are tough, or they are just acting out because of stress. Maybe cops do choose a bad time to be soft and act like the counsellor and try to talk things out when the person is still too upset, but it's always nice to see cops be more understanding of what someone is going through. I feel like we never really see that perfect balance of firm but also understanding. I don't think she was too too soft, she still did her job.
The female officer should be a trainer for other officers… She is absolutely amazing! She balances firmness with kindness - she doesn’t engage in the girl’s nonsense by arguing with her, which I see a lot of officers do. Badass ❤
You serious? She begs and pleas with this adult child for entirely waaay to long. It's pathetic how this girl is being treated with cotton gloves despite her clear and obvious disrespect.

These cops were impeccable. Even the officer at the station. Absolutely phenomenal, understanding, and patient . Wow!
Watching her smugness slowly fade as she realized that exigent circumstances have created probable cause for them to search her is a beautiful thing. The concept of “plain view” is so nice especially for people like this. If anyone walking past your car could see it without having to physically make contact with the vehicle, it’s “plain view” when she opened her door and revealed the bottle of vodka, it was in “plain view” that’s like having a dead body in your backseat and saying “you can’t search me because you can’t go in the car to find it” they don’t have to go in the car. I can tell ya from personal and recent experience that you're a lot more nervous around cops when you got something to worry about them finding. Not that someone being nervous is probable cause, but if you're silly enough to keep talking and say something that gives them probable cause... well, that's on you!
