Hi Elle! I got two budgies named Soap and Elvis (both girls!) a few weeks ago and your videos have been so helpful with knowing what to expect, getting their cage ready, and picking food for them!
OMG I've had my lovebird Cloud for 6 months also girl i and i dont know what would have happened if it weren't for elle! welcome to the bird world btw so much work but all worth it i spent all of my birthday money on a new massive flight cage for my lovely bird cloud
I keep 31 birds; 27 of them are finches of different species. Four of the birds are diamond doves. They are so messy! I am so grateful to watch this video. I was dreading doing an ultimate cleaning of my two large bird cages. I had decided I would need to take the birds out of the cages and do a pressure washing of the cages outside. Now after watching your video I realize I don’t have to go to that trouble and inconvenience for the birds. I am definitely going to invest in a Robo vacuum with the additional mop function. I already use the vinegar and water as well as the poop off cage cleaner that you featured. I also highly recommend and use natures miracle birdcage cleaner;it is fabulous. Even though I’m a few decades older than you are, really respect and appreciate your excellent bird care advice and will continue watching your videos for a long time. I may eventually get a parrot. Right now I don’t think I have the time to dedicate to one but it’s starting to look very favorable!
Hii Elle!! I just got my first ever cockatiel 4 days ago and he's just over 3 weeks old. He's absolutely adorable and your videos have helped so much. I greatly appreciate it!! He will be moving to his cage in another 4 weeks :)
...Why did u get a 3 week old bird...? They should still be with their parents. The bird could get shock and die, get sick, stressed, it's very unhealthy to get a bird that is under 6 weeks AT LEAST, it's it's HIGHLY preferred 12 weeks of age

Consider these facts: 1) Elle's great at training birds. 2) Elle saying "of course, the birds are gonna want to help with the cleaning process." 3) Birds do a great job of grooming themselves 4) Bird seen in video meticulously removing food particles from atop the vacuum. The obvious conclusion is that Elle should train the birds to clean their own cages. She could help them by providing them with vinegar and cute little sponges. Then of course the birds can turn on the robotic vacuum cleaner, using an app Elle has downloaded onto their cell phones.
I like to use a hand broom to brush the feathers and seeds out of crevices. I’d also recommend a steam cleaner- it disinfects everything with only water and it helps remove tough poop too.
I am a bird keeper for many years and I can say they are messy and destructive - but the joy outweighs the negatives. I opted for a small backpack vacuum to take care of the daily tossing of food and feathers. - Thanks for sharing.
Hi, I have 2 cockatiels, but One of them (which I believe are both females) eats her shit. They are free all over the house n not so often do I catch her doing it. What can I do about this 😢
