    This list continues to prove that Kennedy Brooks might be the most underrated player in OU history. He only averaged 7.0 yards per carry for his entire career.

      Brooks was incredibly tough to leave off the list. Honestly it might have been the combination of me attempting not to use recency bias and just how easy he made things look. The guy was an absolute stud

    I was at that Kansas game in 2014 when Samaje broke the most rushing yards in a single game record. It was raining and cold but still awesome. It was also my first game.

      That's must have been an awesome experience - watching history! I saw him a couple times - I think one of my favorites was a game against OSU (I think with the Big 12 title on the line) where he broke off a run but took a knee at the 1 instead of scoring a TD to ice the game

      @@LimitlessSports yeah it was awesome. I was near the student section and a lot of people started leaving because of the weather but I decided to stay so I could witness history. I was high fiving fellow Sooner fans I didn't even know after he broke the record.
      Even though we went 8-5 that year it was still a great season for me because I got to meet both Blake Bell and Barry Switzer. Blake gave me a high five and I got a picture with Barry.

    You make excellent content. Your channel will blow up soon! Stay the course. My son does music and he is at that stage of building a solid fan base as well so I have seen first hand how hard it is to get a channel off the ground but once it's rolling there's no stopping it so continue to drop quality videos like these!! I'm a huge sooner fan so it's awesome to see you focus on Oklahoma! In the future when you start doing other schools as well you should do some where are they now? Type videos With classic teams from classic games like the Texas vs USC or Miami vs Ohio state etc.

    I don't disagree with any of these guys. However, OU has had so many other almost as great running backs. Mike Gaddis, Buster Rhymes, Elvis Peacock, and Lydell Carr were all excellent RBs as well. They don't belong on this list, but they were pretty darned good!!

      That's one of the things that made it difficult - there have been so many good-great running backs over the years that a lot of guys that would make the list easily at other schools sometimes get lost in the shuffle (especially if you come right after or before a Heisman winner or record breaker)

      @@LimitlessSports I would like to see some sort of documentary series on ex-Sooner athletes to inform Sooner fans where these athletes are now. There was a documentary on 30-30 about Marcus Dupree which was really good and it showed he is doing all right today. Why not extend that to other Sooner athletes that provides OU fans so many thrills during their time at OU?
      There are many great athletes that were borderline pro and you wonder what happened to them. Ex-basketball players like Chucky Barnett - who was the leading scorer in the Big 8 but didn't make it in the NBA I dont believe - where is he now? Ex- running backs like Elvis Peacock - who was a great performer on OU national chamionship teams and a world class sprinter - where is he now?
      I think that would get a lot of attention and would also be a great recruiting tool for OU - to show that OU fans dont just forget about you when you are gone. They care about what happens to you. Maybe too sappy but just a thought.

    I guess Marcus Dupree isn't on the list because he didn't play enough? Only play 1.5 seasons, but tallied almost 1800 yards with an average of 8.0 yards per carry. I would ask the question, probably for another video, who had the best single season for an OU RB?

    • @LimitlessSports
      @LimitlessSports  2 роки тому +1

      I think that is an excellent video idea. And you hit the nail on the head there - just felt like he didn't have enough time at OU to cement his place there over the others on the list. He would top the list of "what ifs" in Sooner history for sure

    Peterson's best season was only 5.7 yards per carry.....Pruitt's was 9.0 yards per carry. Personally, I'd put Pruitt #1 or #2.
    Dupree's was 8.0 yards per carry, if I recall correctly.

      @LimitlessSports  Рік тому +1

      Much appreciated! I'll definitely admit some bias went into this since AD is one of my all-time favorite Sooners - but I agree 9 yards per carry is absolute insanity. Dupree is one of the biggest what-if stories ever

    • @Bigfishfun333
      @Bigfishfun333 Рік тому

      AD was probably STRONGER, though, and Pruitt's TEAM was better than AD's team, so that of course would raise up Pruitt, and lower AD, unfairly. AD's stellar pro career: he had almost 3 times as much rushing yardage as Pruitt in the NFL, so I'd have to go with AD as maybe the better overall player - a much much higher draft pick than Pruitt was, as well.
