Czerny: Presto à la Galopade - The School of Velocity Op.299 No.39

- Very quick piece from The School of Velocity (Op.299) in D flat major. It is quite repetitive but is there is a great "sparkle" to the right hand throughout the piece that maintains its liveliness. My favourite part is from to 1:19 to 1:29.
pf: MIDI

Hopefully the link works (if not, feel free to let me know). Thanks :D
favorite part is from 0:47 to 0:51 and its other repetition
Same here, this and the other hand crossing part is my favourite part. I think seon yong hwang does those parts very well
amazing
My hand is hurting after watching this
It's a computer!
Brilliant
+Admirable Smithy It sounds like "Etude Op. 10 No. 8 (Sunshine) Allegro" of Chopin
but faster and harder
Obvious! Chopin was a friend of Liszt, and Liszt was one of Czerny's pupils!
I am watching this for my 50th time and im still shocked
Seon Yong Hwang played this masterpiece :)
Yeah I've seen that video and his channel: that guy is absolutely amazing!
I'm here after Seong-Yong Hwan and holy shit-
I wonder why Czerny set this tempo so fast😅
We do, not him.
@@tarikeld11 feud follets is faster / 240 per semi quaver
@@cubingkid1082um lizst himself put the tempo lower people just play it fast for excitement

@@AdmirableSmithy thank you a lot really a lot
this is actually pretty for a practice peace I'm playing number 10 rn and I hate it please help me
For some reason this reminds me of Chopin's Winter Wind
I am not a robot
Who is the pianist? It could be midi ... Definitely an electric piano
Yep: it's MIDI. And you're right...it's played through a digital piano!
Yeah, you all hate Wim Winters and his Double Beat theory, I know. Still, I was introduced into this piece by the game Piano Tiles, where it was played with half the tempo, which sounded natural and good for me. Now i hear this tempo and it just doesn't feel right. The melody just feels too fast. Especially 0:40 sounds ridiculous.
One "right/left" was one beat. If you understand that a quarter = 104 beat per minute instead of a quarter = one "right/left" of the metronome, you're trying to play this twice as fast as Czerny intended. Still fun though!
Wrong. And for several reasons.
1. When was the big switch?
2. Malzel’s instructions for the metronome.
3. Actual known performance durations
Well, I seem to be the only one, but I don't see the point of robot performances like this with no nuances of dynamics or tempo. The thumping left hand part is particularly ugly. It's technologically interesting perhaps but it's not music.
I hate Czerny
