The Mega Cab gets a Glacier Diesel Boot kit!! | Is this our problem?

Our parts finally showed up for Don's Mega Cab and we are really excited to get them installed to see if this is the fix to the issue he has been having recently. We are hoping that the boost drop issue is related to the torn boot we found under the hood in the last video. We ended up with a Glacier Diesel boot it and hot side pipe for this truck to take care of a couple things, One the factory boots are prone to failure and these new Glacier Diesel boots are a lot thicker then the factory boots and the metal hot side pipe will increase airflow because of the size increase but also the factory plastic pipe can crack over time creating another leak.

I think that's my next step and if it's good I will go back to checking boost to see if maybe that bov is dumping

Nice video Brandon ! Is the exhaust working right ? Like you said it would be good to see how the actuator is working. But did you checked the BOV ? It cold be also an issue because the boost is dropping pretty fast....

I'm going to check that really soon, I feel a little dumb at this point because I didn't consider that being an issue but I'm going to hook the kit back up and pump it back up. I don't know why I didn't even consider that before......

what about the blow-off valve?

You know what..... your absolutely right. To be 100% honest I didn't really pay any mind to the blow off valve because mine had been nothing but good but your absolutely right I need to check that.

The boots are really nice, I was really happy with them. The blow off valve is there to evacuate the boost pressure when you get off of the throttle hard to eliminate turbo bark.
