Appreciate a video like this that focuses on info, a bit of speculation, and not just giving out solutions. It's perfectly fine to give out solutions, it's just rare to find content where that isn't the focus
I was so burned out after a couple weeks of last season. I'm glad I took a break because now I'm looking forward to playing again. I'm leaning towards poison, but I'll give the other two a try.
This video is like sitting in a classroom learning about Spiritborn. I love the way you break things down to help us understand everything about the class. No one teaches like Raxx! Thank you for helping us get the most out of the game!
Yeah, I like how you work on the class, showing potential. With this being a much more complex beastie, it will take a wide understanding to get the most out of it, all the help we can get is appreciated and that is what these are giving us. This looks very cool, and I hope this next season is longer, so we have more time to play with the many variations that the class can present.
But in any any ARPGS You don't need to understand anything just copy maxroll top tier SB day one and press all buttons when they cooldown and go BLASTING!.
I really enjoy this video and how you are giving us the ideas to figure it out ourselves. I get super bored really quick just following other peoples build guides, and even if it isn't the most optimized, I often end up tweaking and playing with builds just to see what I can come up with and have fun with. This is a great video here showing some of the ideas and leaving it open ended to encourage others to do the same thing. I mean, yeah it's fun to build the meta and be godly for a while, but at the end of the day I think it's more rewarding to figure out the combinations yourself and experience that wow moment first hand.
As much as i love a lot of streamers , and some do the same as you, thanks for not only making leveling guides and step of the way videos, but also, until end game making realistic guides to follow until you can get perfect gear. Some of us can only play so long and videos like this help us realistically make a good build without mid maxing to the greater affix level. respect!
since you asked for feedback here's my 2 cents: it's not that I cant go into max roll build planner, look at the spirit born tree and read every skill and theory craft, it's the fact that I have to then read every node on the para board, I have to look at all the leg aspects, I have to look at all the unique aspects. This gets too time consuming, as you said there are layers to theory crafting and building thus for someone who works full time, had other commitments it's not possible to sit and put in a few hours just doing this. For people like this, me, this type of video is perfect. even a one hour video would be fin for me, if it saved me hours or researching on my own. You dint make a build in this video but you gave me the possibilities, so when I play the game I will keep an eye open, I will know how skills and these class mechanics can be tied together. Thanks! already I know which mythic will be meh for spirit born and which ones will be godly, or which ones I can outright skip. for example almost every class and build can use starless, I can see how with all the return of vigor I could bypass starless entirely. etc.
Love your video style. It helps greatly to hear about your thought process when creating or manipulating a character. Always well done. Thank you for your work.
I was looking for some explanations without showing a video with big number without fully understanding what was happening, and you gave me an idea of it, great video!
Absolutely love this kind of video. Exactly what I was looking for, to get some overview that will help me experiment vs just mindlessly following a step by step guide (that will come into play later when all my experiments fail terribly :D)
I am so glad you explained how the types of SB 'animal' plays into the skills, and how adding other animal spirits helps on the skill tree. Best part of vid
Yup, really enjoy and appreciate this sort of video, Raxx. The orientation about what the class is, how it varies, and how those variations might show up in builds is both helpful and intriguing. Also takes away some of the anxiety of "change" in the game. ;-) Thanks.
I prefer an overview like this, especially at the start of the season, vs just walking us through a build step by step. I"ll wait and see what drops for me and adjust accordingly. Now I have a vague idea of what to look for and how to adjust. I think SB is going to be a fun distraction for a while.
Thanks Raxx! Always great at breaking down the info for monkey brains like myself. I was going to roll rogue again for the 6th season in a row, but you've convinced me to try this first!
Its very easy to understand and follow Raxx, that's why he is the king of the guides. Lookin forward to some easy 1 button, destroy everything build guides, for us casuals.
Well explained. I can see why people weren't excited at the surface, but when I started theory crafting (not an expert or anything) I discovered how special it was compared to what was in the game before. I'm not following a build guide for leveling, as I think I've come up with something clever on my own. It won't be meta or anything but it's the first time that building has been interesting and I want to try out my weird little thing before I need to be efficient and optimized for the hardest content. I would love to see the vanilla classes get the same treatment, maybe a revamp of one per season to "open it up" to this kind of depth.
I was avoiding most spiritborn info on purpose, but the moment i saw the gorilla centipide interaction in one of the very first revealed details, i knew im definitely going gorilla centipide poison thorns sustain
Cheers Raxx, the amount of builds we will be able to play around with and make is going to be crazy, it's got me thinking that's for sure, Also any vids u make a helpful and entertaining keep dishing them up.
I stopped playing D4 shortly after launch. Watched two of your vids, re-subscribed (sorry lol), and purchased it again for my Steam deck. Great vids, thanks for the hard work you put into them all. Hoping Barbarian isn’t as DOA as one of your recent video speculates.
Great video thank you for the effort. I always start a season as Sorc but with the announced changes, then learning more about spirit born, I think I might break tradition and try it out. I was worried everyone will be playing SB, and they will, but the # of combos seems so insane that I doubt everyone will be cookie cutter! Keep the content coming.
This is the first time since launch I've actually wanted to fully theory craft my own build(s) from scratch. Honestly, I don't even want to look at guides for Spiritborn this whole season
I just got into Diablo 4 thank you for explaining this! some of the wording in this game confuses me, thank you for explaining. Still dont understand thorns because im just new, I love this video it got me thinking and seeing connections. thanks
Honestly surprised you didn't mention it near the end with the bit on "Harmony of Ebewaka", but if you use Harmony and "Wushe Nak Pa" you can make a build that has very high uptime on nearly every skill having all 4 halls, or 120%x dmg from Harmony. From quick messing with it, a Centipede/Gorilla using all the Jaguar Skills except the Eagle Ult you can basically live with all 4 Spirit Halls non-stop, while generating Ferocity and Resolve constantly. Can mess around with the halls and skills used, but the ult almost has to be Eagle or Jaguar to have decent uptime. Also important to note, you want all of your primary damage abilities to be the same, and not matching your Ultimate or your Halls, otherwise you would be losing 30% of the bonus from Harmony on those casts.
The exploit glyph pairs perfectly with The Key passive Vital Strikes. Not only do you get permeant vulnerability you get a 2% heal on hit and guaranteed 5 vigor on every strike you make. Going on what you were saying with having your basic skills triggering Payback you will want to be using the Unique weapon Sepazontec which gives you a reason to use your basic skills.
Rod of Kepeleke will be the only weapon for a Prodigy's Tempo build outside of 3 cases. 1) The unique aspect doesn't interact properly with the key passive. 2) There is some dumb bug bringing back kajillions of damage that another weapon enables 3) They completely rework the weapon. The reasoning is simple and surface-level. Prodigy's Tempo gives skill ranks to all skills (damage/cooldown/DR/duration) for spamming basic skills and reduces active cooldowns for spamming core skills. Rod of Kepeleke turns all core skills into basic skills. Unless the interaction is bugged or intentionally prevented, Kepeleke will allow you to spam core skills for both effects, doubling the effectiveness of the key passive. As far as if Prodigy's Tempo will be a viable choice, that remains to be seen.
I think I'm going with an Eagle build. I love moving around the map super fast and exploding everything. I made a build on maxroll and I'm hoping it turns out strong! I'm looking forward to just figuring out my own build for SB instead of just following a guide. As a D3 monk main, I hope I love the SB!
Base stats increase so fucking powerful I'm definitely getting the feeling that spiritborn is going to be my new go to for d4 instead of necro as it has been since necro has been a thing.
Can't wait for the weapon and board class. They can even make it a Javazon/Spearzon x Paladin Hybrid just to make it feel unique. Archetype be like Mars from Dota2. Lore is a student of the D2 Amazon from Skovos. They can call it the Myrmidon.
The coolest combination I think would be jaguar and centipede because if we find a way to poison stuff at jaguar speed and then spawn Mr Bukake + Noxious resonance, we just one shot screens at a time. On the other hand Jaguar Gorilla sounds crazy OP because of the insane DR bonuses gorilla gives. But the first idea I just really want to delve deep into because I've got a thing for marked for death builds. Like PoE's lightning conduit was pretty busted on release and you'd basically just run around shocking shit just to apply a massive shock multiplier, and then pressing the kill button and it'd completely obliterate everything it was one of the most fun builds I've played in the game in my opinion.
I would love to see the same variety and power for the other classes (like sorc with fire bolt enchantment) instead of nerfing the shit out of OP builds... which unfortunately Blizzard will do in S7 with the spiritborn for sure... I don't think they will do it in mid-season patch when the expansion/new class is still in the spotlight, but the nerfs will come ... so lets play spritborn now before Blizz will destroy it
i hope the healing legendary paragon node isnt trash or too short range. having a build with exponential scaling on healing received sounds like a fun idea that hasnt been explored yet. especially now that potion healing nodes have been replaced with general healing nodes
Appreciate a video like this that focuses on info, a bit of speculation, and not just giving out solutions. It's perfectly fine to give out solutions, it's just rare to find content where that isn't the focus

Hell yeah. Time to return to monke.
That’s what I thought too.
😂same
Return to monke or monke will return to you! 🐵
@@stephensmith4025 must be true then. Our opinion has arrived.
I like the birb, probably will take some centipede stuff. I want to do a thunderbird ult spam build.
I was so burned out after a couple weeks of last season. I'm glad I took a break because now I'm looking forward to playing again. I'm leaning towards poison, but I'll give the other two a try.
Plus there's 3 others to try not just 2
@@stephensmith4025 you got quite a lip on you, boy. You blow your daddy with that mouth?
How'd you not get bored in the first week? Everyone was just running LS and got gear in the first week.
@@stephensmith4025 wow Stephen you’re so cool!! I hope I can be more like you 😎
@stephensmith4025 do your parents still cut your meat for you?

Returning for the first time since season 1 and the game is so much better now I’m honestly impressed

We can only hope Blizzard goes over the other 5 classes to polish them more.
Thats really needed if you ask me.... Do one or two classes each Season
Let's see what poe 2 has where you can play as centipede, gorilla, jaguar and eagle skills.
I have a feeling class revamps are coming soon, given the new design philosophy is so far from what it was before.
Thanks for making me excited to try Spiritborn.

Thanks Raxx. THIS was the overview I needed. Looking forward to jumping in!
Yes, these kind of videos are very welcome, they explain what's behind the crafting, not just tell to pick this and the other.
This is incredible think about if they put all this effort into the other classes bro this would be a game changer!!!
Thanks for being cognizant of the timings. These videos are great. I know folk say you shouldn’t be teaching us the WHY, but I love it.
Thank you for keeping it as short as possible while still being informative
This was a great video. It was nice to kind of see the high level theorycrafting basics.
Professor raxx is the teacher and I'm present
Maybe I shouldn't admit this but I would totally listen to a 10 hour Raxx lecture. 😂

Raxx: Makes a new guide
Me: Mandatory lecture before starting a new character
This is exactly what i needed which no other creator nailed like you did, bravo Rax, keep going man!
This was seriously so eye opening for the Spiritborn! I’m even more excited! Thank you Professor Rax!
I was avoiding most spiritborn info on purpose, but the moment i saw the gorilla centipide interaction in one of the very first revealed details, i knew im definitely going gorilla centipide poison thorns sustain
LOVE VIDEOS LIKE THIS. I WANT TO DO MY OWN BUILD. THIS WAS LIKE A TV SHOW REVIEW WITH NO SPOILERS TY
Thisbis what i want. Blueprints for how to make builds.. copying other builds, although inevitable sometimes, is nit as rewarding. Subbed.
Keep it up Rax! You're content made my D4 experience way more fun
Javazon was my fav class in D2. I was hoping for a spear class, this isn't exactly what I had in mind, but i'll take it!
This is such a great video, it could’ve been 10 hours long, and I would’ve watched the entire thing! 🔥
Great video. Was already planning on playing Spiritborn since it's the new class, but now I'm also pretty hyped about it.

This gives people some confidence to make a build themselves if they have never done so, expect apple on your desk on Monday.
I really appreciate the tutorial. It'll make it easier when it unleashes.
I would listen to a 2hr prof raxx lecture
Great video.
Teaching how to think, when theory crafting, is very Important.
Love videos that show you how to make your own build and what to think about.
Can't wait to theorycraft some builds!
great info, looking forward to checking out Spiritborn this season.
Yeah I love these kind of videos. Super helpful.
Ten hour professor Raxx video doesn't sound bad
Thank you Raxx for this video!
This one is so clear to me dam, great job! would be could when you have mastered your build you would make a in depth review on it

Dayum, Spirit bjorn seems interesting. For the first time i might try to make a build for myself before i even play the game.
Good video!! Keep the in-depth info coming!!
Really want Rax to do the "crazy/hot matrix" Diablo 4 style.
Really excited to try spiritborn. I planned out a dual basic skill build with Jaguar/Eagle. We will see how it goes in a few days
Raxx, I really enjoyed this video. Great job man!!
I love these videos. They help a lot
It makes sense having uniques for each skill used and I think they trying to do that for the Spirit Born.
Rod of Kepeleke will be the only weapon for a Prodigy's Tempo build outside of 3 cases.

Really want to try a Basic-Skill/Payback build on the Spiritborn.
Blizzard really should be hiring this man.

Thank you Professor Raxx.
So hyped Rax! 😎

this is how you design a class, make everything strong so there is actual choices involved when building, not just pick a skill and take all 3 shouts.
Thanks So Much, it's gonna be a Krazy Season#6
Love videos like this, I appreciate your work homie
These videos are great! Keep doing them!
I can't thank you enough for this video as I am not good at doing this.
Base stats increase so fucking powerful I'm definitely getting the feeling that spiritborn is going to be my new go to for d4 instead of necro as it has been since necro has been a thing.
Loved this video. Thanks Raxx
Raxx is to Jaguar, as Benedict Cumberbatch is to Penguin.
