repair a motorcycle camshaft that is not fit to use get a job
broken suzuki satria fu camshaft
due to the very long video duration for drilling the oil hole it is not recorded 🙏🙏
Gila nih mekanik...noken rusak ajah dibikin berfungsi lagi...saya subscribe...soalnya nih mekanik bisa membantu banget konsumen yg lagi gak ada dana bisa pake opsi ini dari pada beli noken baru pas kantong lagi kepepet...
Sebaiknya noken dikasih lubang utk jalur oli
Penyebaran oli di head fu melalui noken
Jika noken tanpa jalur oli otomatis akan memperpendek umur motor
Like buat bushing baru dan welding tembaga bagus kawan keep on sharing

Teori sama prakteknya sih ok ,mantap.tapi yg paling sulit benerin cangkang atau dudukan nokennya.

They are camshafts from a different application that was probably from the same manufacture. Like a smaller displacement or something. If I'm correct the intake and exhaust events might not be timed as well as the oem, because if the journals were different sizes maybe they lobes will be too. Travel and dwell etc. But it's good work none the less for a safety flip flop type of shop. Maybe leave an extra .002 for a little bit more polishing to get an even better finish... and just break the high spots on the aluminum head journals.
the head is aluminum camshaft is steel the head is worn more than the cam that ain't going to work if it does it won't for long the fix is new head and cam
Cylinder heads can be bored out and fitted with oversize shell bearings. Camshaft is usually case hardened

Hmmmm. What about the oil path? Those camshafts need holes for the oil. One on each end and one at the center
Your right, I would have mounted it in V-blocks and drilled oil holes.
it's one of the modifications I make on Honda CB/CJ250/360 as they have an issue with top end oiling. ((the 'newest' engine is 45 yrs old)
CB/CJ needs 'gun drilling' first though as it never had internal oil passage.

Klo menurut saya bagus bering, cma klo yg mapas dudukan bering ga senter malh brisik kang seperti yg saya kerjakan bekas bubut di tempat lain , harus pilih2 tukang bubutnya yg bnr2 bisa ngerjakan

I don't think that the camshaft is still fit for use, using a steel hammer to fit bushes will cause damage. If done correctly, it would have been ok.
So whats the issue. The cam is still strait clearly evident from the lathe work. The cam is forged so that little bit hammering is not an issue structural integrity. Hell of a lot better job than a lot of the shit I have seen in america trying to fix honda vf heads and cams
Andrew I have a question what tooling and techniques do you use in reconditioning 4 stroke heads?
@@holmes1956O Cam is 'cast iron' with induction hardening on lobes.(don't know grade but in my experience it's 'close' to steel as it can be easily welded, which if you've tried welding cast iron, it's 'challenging')
As you pointed out though, sizing things after repair means everything is straight so no problem. I also agree with your 'repair Honda heads, it can be done properly but at least100 times the cost of this if you can even find someone capable of doing it.
@@1crazypj I havecbeen welding since 1976. First class high pressure. Some cams are cast some are forged steel. Welding cast is no more challenging that any other metal just different technique. From my experience most motorcycle cams are steel
@@holmes1956O If your sig is right, I'm about a year younger than you but have been working/playing with motorcycles since 1968, including various multi-line dealerships when I got a bit older
In my experience the norm is for cast cams induction hardened. Forged or billet steel are the exception in majority of production engines although I have seen steel in 1960's Royal Enfield's (Made In England not India) and HD Sportsters
