If they sell a simple affordable reliable truck they wouldn’t be able to sell garbage electric vehicles. The forces to be have to make gas and diesel into unreliable junk so people have to buy the garbage they are us forcing to buy.

Simplicity at its finest. There is no need for unnecessary extras.
And thank God for that because I'd hate to pay another $30k for extras. This truck should be $30K at best as shown. Brand name isn't worth $16K.

My dad had a 1972 Datsun pickup with those same tailgate latches. I remember riding in the back with my dog. Can't do that anymore.

I got a friend who has a 1986 Toyota pick up. The odometer stop working several yrs ago at over 400 000 miles. He believes the miles today are over 600 000 considering the number miles he drives per day.

I bought a 2wd long bed in 1986. Patched the frame, finally made a flat bed, patched cab and it made it over one million miles even in Ohio where the roads are concrete and blacktop in the summer and cracked rock salt in the winter. All I did to the drive line was brakes, valve cover gaskets, a water pump. Had to replace the clutch twice .. it had 22re engine. I still use the engine and transmission to run two Quincy compressor pumps at same time because I don't have three phase electric

I’d kill for the opportunity to buy that for 45k in the US. Compared to what a new truck here cost, 75k for just about any new truck and I don’t want all the apps and smart shit anyway, use a real key too shut up and take my money

Strong motor and transmission for a small body truck.
The diesel v8 is just going out of production but they are very popular here in Australia 🇦🇺. They aren't powerful or cheap but they last forever. A million kilometres is not unheard of.
@@stephenchigwidden7504 the 4.0 motor also last long. I have an Fj cruiser. The same motor train at this trucks. And feel amazing strong and fast. And I see trucks with this motor trend with over half million miles and still running just fine.

I’m still driving my 2001 Nisan Frontier 4cyl. With 207,000 miles. When I see the huge pickups and the even bigger price tags on them I’m even more thankful for my decision to buy that little truck back then.

I had a 86 4 wheel drive extended cab. Mint condition. I loved it, but got tired of it after 2 years. No air, rough ride, not fast for hwy speeds, but it was cool and very reliable. I guess we are spoiled with the new stuff.
