- Comedian Ryan Hamilton learned that you can't just pull out of a gym membership. It's kind of a quagmire.

Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"
Canceling my gym membership was definitely the most difficult exercise I ever performed at the gym.
The best part of the gym story, for me, was the last line where he confessed he walked by the gym to buy the envelopes. He could have just done option 1 at that point, but he was in a rage.
Love this guy.
He's one of the best in the business.
His neck machine joke had me in tears
"Dear My Gym" - I am literally crying laughing. This guy is phenomenal.
Watched his Netflix special. I loved it! He's a very funny guy. Very underrated comedian.
I like the set, strong showing.
I always get nervous when comedians guest spot other comedians, but damn I loved this guy! He actually (no sarcasm) didn't make the "I tried to cancel my gym membership" routine sound boring and outdated.
absolute genius with that gorgeous smile ❤️❤️❤️
Goes to show that you DON'T have to be dirty or inappropriate to be funny. Clean humor ftw!
Exactly!
His performance of The Late Late Show was hilarious. This one started slower but I liked it.
I saw this guy at the Gotham do fifteen minutes on hot air balloons, just about shit myself.
I remember randomly finding this comic on youtube and being sad there weren't any more clips. It's nice he's more famous now there'll be more of him.
Oh my gosh, he is a mix of Brian Regan and Jerry Seinfeld.
+zzmaulzz That's what I thought, too! So funny! : >
+zzmaulzz with tim currys face
+zzmaulzz God, you're right!
But without any of the funny
i thought he was decently funny!
he was legitimately funny
LOL. I had the same issue. I ended up cancelling my credit card and ignored their emails.
+Abul Nazeer I think that is what a lot of people do. I have a buddy that cancels his CC's regularly to get rid of unwanted memberships to all sorts of stuff because it isn't just the gym that does this.
This kid is gold.
I love Ryan Hamilton! He's really funny!!!
He's really good
New Seinfeld
I thought that by just looking at his teeth. Very "Jerry" smile.
I was totally expecting, "I told my friend I was being bullied, and he told me I should join a gym..."
This is a great comedian! Want to see more of him.
Watch his Netflix Special On my channel
Wow - apparently everyone in the comment section is a professional judge on Last Comic Standing. I've seen this guy live and he is hilarious. He definitely has some better bits/sets, but many are acting like he bombed.
Or maybe they have an opinion and know what they enjoy and don’t enjoy, just exactly like you. Just a thought.
Holy shit! It's Howdy Doody come to life!
I came to the comments to inquire as to how many people consider this man begotten of Seinfeld. It's nice to feel like part of a group.
For some reason I cracked up at the part about walking to CVS to buy envelopes “in a full-on rage”. I would pay for his gym membership just to see that.
not bad. actually enjoyed this
Omg. So few stand-up comedians make me laugh. Ryan is definitely a stand-up comedian who can. I discovered his talent when I saw him perform in Chicago at Zanies. He was so funny. Great joke about hot air balloon riding that I still remember to this day. Lol! And he's opening for Jerry Seinfeld in 2023. His comedy and delivery reminds me of Seinfeld. This guy is great!
This guy is special. Really funny.
That was a good little set
Looks like a real life Howdy Doodie. Funny guy too.
2600 dollars on 4 workouts. lol.
Great stuff.
when he smiles he looks like Jack McBrayer and Gilbert Godfrey's love child
He like Brian Regan and Mitch Hedberg combined.
+BTMI mexiclamationpoint With a bit of a Jerry Seinfeld voice.
+BTMI mexiclamationpoint more like a toung tim curry
plus at times he sounds like Jerry Seinfeld
Cannot unsee.
Likeable and enjoyable!
This guy reminds me of a mix between Seinfeld and Brian Regan. Funny stuff. hah.
Loved it! It kept me laughing - a very familiar experience to me.
I feel like I'm watching Milton Berle do a Seinfeld set.
That was really enjoyable
Love!
3:40 He got me..... Well played.
I thought he was gonna suck but I ended up really enjoying it lol
His Netflix special is super funny.
this is a great performance, but he really slays this bit on his netflix special "happy face".
Started off a little slow but picked it up and I ended up laughing.
Such a nice guy he won't tell her it's not pronounced "waltz."
Just became a fan of Ryan.
Soooo funny, soooo good!
He started his special by stating that he looked like, "someone who should be selling ice cream in the 50's"
😂😂😂 yes!!!
I don't think this guy has ever heard of airplane food.
"Dear my gym..." 😂
took me awhile to figure out who his facial expressions remind me of, but I'm pretty sure it's Tim Curry
+Not Available Tim Curry crossed with Jerry Seinfeld! Yup!
Tim Curry, Brian Regan and Jerry Seinfeld
Jack McBrayer?!
Perhaps a little Milton Beryl?
Oh yeah, I can kind of see that. Or the Cheshire Cat.
Funny guy, I really enjoy his style
he takes a while to get warmed up, but once he gets going it's pretty funny
Love this guy! Hadn't heard this bit and but was great!
Looks like Milton Berle more than anyone else.
It was actually funny!
So good :D
Seinfeld's robot project. Funny as hell.
Reminds me of the Friends episode when Chandler tried to quit the gym and just kept getting roped into more. "I wanna quit the bank!!"
Lol he had to walk by his gym to cancel
This guy seems like he was inspired by Jerry Seinfeld
Started off slow, but the letter writing bit was great
his face is actually 70% of the funny part, I don't mean it in a bad way. Some people just has that face that makes you laugh, or punch depending on the mood.
Brian Regan-esque
very good
New Sainfeld has been born. Too bad it's not 1985
no laugh out loud moments but it was still funny, I like this dude
+Awesome14450
Since when does not laughing == funny?
Livid Imp when watching stuff from my room in my parents house, laughing out loud can be selective. Because I chose to not laugh out loud during this vid it did not make it any less funny. In saying that there are vids out there that do make me laugh out loud even when I try not to
+Awesome14450
If you weren't laughing, or holding in a laugh, it wasn't funny. It might be clever, it might be amusing, but it's not funny.
+Livid Imp goshers, thanks for the clarification. Ah, but I kid.
+Awesome14450
Oh wow that's a real sick burn. I haven't seen an insult so masterfully crafted since I was about 11 or 12 years old. You clearly have been stewing _all week long_ to formulate such a powerful zinger. Fuck Ryan Hamilton, you're the one that should be on national television slinging that comedy gold.
/s
Too funny about canceling a gym membership
His smile reminded me of Jerry Seinfield.
Just one joke!!!
Genius 🙌🏻
very funny
This guy looks like that dude from the goosebumps movie
Finally I got to see Hamilton. Unlike the tens of thousand people who could not get a ticket! I feel so good. But it wasn´t that spectacular after all....
this ventriloquist puppet got some good jokes
He reminds me of Kenneth from 30 rock
2020 and I'm still getting bullied by my gym
I enjoyed this. I really enjoy this comedian segment. Can you guys get John Mulaney at some point?
He kinda makes me think of Don Knotts.
+ariandynas yes, I'll second that.
I learnt how to write a letter in school and I'm sure people still do. Physical or on emails, it still happens.
Creed!!!! Mikey!!!! ❤
He looks like John Kasich mixed with Jerry Seinfeld.
funny!
Yay ryham!!
I'm not a big fan of stand up comedy but this was solid
PS find a gym buddy 😉
Junior Jerry
Reading comments
I feel like they are deleting the more honest reviews of the performance.
In college, I once tried to cancel my 24hr Fitness gym membership, but was told that I couldn't cancel my membership on a Tuesday because the person that handles cancellations doesn't work that day. I then returned on a Wednesday and was told to comeback another time because that particular person was on break. F* You 24hr Fitness.
He's funny
i've spent 1200 on 8 work outs - this hits home
he has the style of Seinfeld
He could be a dark horse Joker in a Batman reboot.
you can just close your eyes and imagine Seinfeld is back in the game
Anyway, Jerry Seinfeld and Gilbert Godfrey had a baby.
I just had to write that letter so stupid
Alright, who cloned Jerry Seinfeld?
HEE-larious.
After having seen the Hugh Laurie interview, I would make that gym regret having such a policy. I would send letters to the gym until that box of envelopes was used up. Each one would be laminated closed (not taped, not glued, laminated) and each letter would be at least a full page of 5 point font of a completely fictitious story of inappropriate behaviour of someone in the facilities, so they would be forced to continue reading. It would not be until the last letter that the words, "None of that was true, I would like to cancel my membership," would be included. Unlike, Mr. Laurie though, the letters would all be sent at the same time with numbered pages. And just to really fuck with them, the first page would not be number 1, because then they would be able to count the number of envelopes and think that 50 would be the last page, which would allow them to stop opening pages as soon as they found it. No, no. I would start the first page at something like 27.
Lily Tomlin and Jerry Seinfeld had a child together?! 😂
He looks like an older calfreezy
Sounds like LA Fitness
+prasun We got a YouFit and same way. "oh, we can't cancel right now because you should have told us 10 days before." "Well I'm telling you right now". "Sorry, your contract says you have to let us know in writing 10 days before." "but my renewal is in 9 days.", "yes, we'll have to charge you for one more month and a cancellation fee." arghhhhhh
They cant just let any random person call them up and cancel a membership. Your creditors would love to be able to do that wouldnt they.
+Michael P. Shipley But your bank and credit card company themselves are okay with you just calling in and giving a few security references?? Come on. He's right. Letter writing is bullying. Like when the City Council wants to pass a law nobody wants, and the only way to protest is not by calling in or email, which their citizens actually use, but by letter.
