Cicalfate is like magic as a spot treatment for any irritated patches of skin on me - bug bites, breakouts, dry patches, you name it. I would recommend it more for that than an all over moisturizer, but it is a staple for me now!
Cicalfate easily! Cicaplast gave me contact dermatitis. I don’t find cicalfate particularly hydrating, but it’s great as a way less greasy alternative to slugging or to use when I’m dealing with contact dermatitis. I recently bought a travel sized version of it for a contact dermatitis I developed on my face from using the Cerave hydrating cleanser. It fixed the irritation almost instantly and let my skin calm down to a point where I could continue using my normal products that would burn and sting.
@@lunastella2323hi. I can recommend the soon jung 5- panthenososside balm. It's probably less potent than the balms in the video when it comes to ingredients. It has a high concentration of panthenol, which promotes healing. I'm unsure about the concentration of madecassoside in this product, but these two actives usually calm down my skin pretty well) Also a huge plus for me is that this balm doesn't rub off and actually stays on my face throughout the night. Gotta warn you, it's due to a less emollient consistency, mb the 10-panthenososside balm will feel richer, but I haven't tried it Hope this helps
@@lunastella2323 I don't think LRP Cica Balm have mineral oil unless there's another ingredient in there you are sensitive/allergic to. Prequel Skin Utility Balm is somewhat similar alternative. It's a cream format. I prefer Prequel Skin Utility GEL.
I tried the Avene twice and in both tubes the product had separated so I ended up with straight up liquid coming out the first few uses. It made me wonder if the remaining formula was affected. Anyone else experience this?
It can happen during the shipping process. It’s not a very temperature stable formula, unfortunately. I find it helps to warm it up in warm, not hot, water for 10 minutes. Then massage the tube in your hands for 5 more minutes. After that, let it cool then try again. It should be a creamy texture.
Thank you soooo much for breaking this down for me!!!! Now I can buy the correct 1 for my skin needs. As always my dry/dehydrated mature skin thank you!!!!💖😘💕
Lrp's texture is so smooth once it spreads and absorbs onto the skin but it had some form of zinc in it and that i think got me getting small tiny breakouts. Sadly 😐.
It's not really a moisturizer but more like a spot treatment cream, a lot of people use it all over as a moisturizer but technically that's not what it's meant to be used as!
I like both, but Cicalfate is my all time favorite. It's extremely soothing.

I had dermatitis on my upper eye lids and it was the only cream I used. It’s amazing

Both are staples. I always have both in my bathroom, especially in snowy winter months
Same, skin savers in the winter! 💜
Anything closer to avene? One that does not contain mineral oil? (Allergy)

So happy you covered this!! Been debating which of the two to get
I prefer cicabio form bioderma, is the best for me, the only I can use during a breakout causes for dermatitis
I absolutely LOVED that cream, it was my HG and made my skin flawless, but now it’s discontinued 😢.
The LRP Cicaplast Baume is one of my holy grails. It never fails to calm my irritated skin during winter or if I've overdone it with actives
cann you suggest me a moisturizer for oily sensitive acne prone skin

My first tube did that, it's sensitive to cold weather apparently, I was able to get a replacement sent when I ordered from Skinstore!
I have LRP and illiyoon.. both are the best for my dry skin 😊
Same, unfortunately I just found out that LRP has changed the formula so I don’t know what to use as a replacement for the cicaplast baume 😭
Ive been using lrp cica balm since 2017, it is a necessity in my life 😂 i have combination skin & it doesnr break me out. Helps speed up pih
Hi! Can you use the avene cicalfate after a moisturizer, sort of like a slugging step?
Yes you can!
Is safe for oily sensitive skin,?
Thank you soooo much for breaking this down for me!!!! Now I can buy the correct 1 for my skin needs. As always my dry/dehydrated mature skin thank you!!!!💖😘💕
I think LRP is breaking me out :( do you think the avene would be better in this case?
Cicalfate all the way!
Which of these would be best suited as an aftershave balm? Thanks
I prefer avene since they reformulated the la Roche Posay it’s not occlusive enough for me any more, having eczema on my face
Can u make a review video of purito vitamin c serum plzzzzzzzz🥺🥺
Both are amazing. It’s awesome in the winter for extremely dry, cold weather. I alternate the two.

The cicalfate came so watery/separated! I can’t seem to mix it in with the cream part 😩

@@KellyDriscoll so I can’t use it at all then? dang it.
They both feel like glue to me! I think the Bioderma Cicabio is way superior!
Love them both❤❤❤
Can it be used as a moisturiser? Avene one
Which is for dry senstive and red acne skin??
which one is better for dry rosacea skin?
Avene offers more moisture which may suit your needs better!
can i use cicalfate to HELP HEALING new chickenpox scar ? because i found out that scar need to be moistrized to heal faster ?
Can you make a review for bioderma cicabio and embryolisse cream
the cicabalm+ isn't moisturising enough for me. I prefer illiyoon

@@KellyDriscoll actually I think I might’ve bought a fake. I tried a tester today, it’s feels thicker and kinda smells like glue?
Love this xx
Why la roshe one gives dry finish. Not moisturising.
I can't use either. They break me out. I used them both as foot cream to use them up 😢
You read my mind
@KellyDriscol why apply something with mineral oil on one’s skin? It’s horrible!
Mineral oil is soothing and occlusive. It’s a fantastic ingredient for skincare. You should do some actual research or watch dermatology videos.
Does Copper Sulfate work the same way that Sulfur products work in Skincare/ Acne Skincare..?
Unfortunately la roche posay make me breakout like crazy a prefer the avene one especially on the cold weather
La roche ❤❤❤
Cicalfate wins allways its the most comun dermotalogist indication in Portugal. LRP has more publicity😊
Hlo mam big fan
Lrp forever ❤😅
