They still have One Tree Hill celebrations every year. My balcony looks right across the river from where 'One Tree' was... Now it's a covered picnic area. Right next to the battleship. 🤘😁
So in this Vlog we visit Wilmington NC. This beautiful city is definitely worth a visit, whether it's the ocean, the gardens or you just want to see some Dawson's Creek locations this place is for you. And we tried Bojangles, a NC chicken staple that we loved even if they did try and steal my biscuit 😂
Lots of movies and shows have been and still are filmed in Wilmington and surrounding areas. There's actually 2 movie studios in Wilmington. One is Cinespace (formally Screen Gems) and Dark Horse Stages. Wilmington's nickname, besides Port City, is Wilmywood and some call it Hollywood East. One of the most famous movies filmed in Wilmington was The Crow. This is where Brandon Lee was accidentally shot and killed during the filming of it.
Hi Stacey and Kev. There is such a difference in the season's there. The warmer weather brings more thing's to do. The park's, butterfly house and waterways are always fun. I'm always interested in the history of buildings and stories of what they have been used for. Bo's chicken is very good. I told someone once that I'd be happy just to eat the crispy coating 😄. As always thank you for taking us along on your adventures and all the hard work ❤️❤️
Thanks for another great vlog. Glad you got to try Bo-Jangles. It is amazing. You didn't find the Krispy Kreme in Raleigh though. I think it was the 2nd store? Everything has been remodeled and updated but the old sign is a great photo op.
@@OneCouplesAdventureright at the beautiful Oakwood neighborhood!;) NCState University has every year the Krispy Kreme Challenge! 12 Doughnuts. 5 Miles. 1 Hour A student run, charity based run
Hi Stacey and Kev, looks a lovely place. I used to watch Dawson Creek. It was good. Me and hubby would go for the donuts has well, love a Boston cream. 😋
I hope you enjoyed your trip to our little city! I got a minute into the video, and I was looking at my building! I can even see the bench I put on the balcony for our dogs, lol. My wife & I have lived here for about 10 years now, & we love this town. 🤘😁🍻
I live in Wilmington and there is a Krispy Kreme donut's in Wilmington. It's not downtown though. BTW I had no idea about those airbnbs. Looks epic. Great video!
I grew up in Wilmington. Its a beautiful city. In the spring the Azalea Festival in April is a great time to go with all the flowers. And there are several nice beaches.
I don’t know what is next after Charleston, but I thought Savanna was more interesting especially for the British. The cobblestone in the streets were brought from England as ballast and unloaded to make way for the cotton bales. I hope you had or have time to visit St. Augustine, it’s really special. You have to see the fort made from compacted seashells. You can see where cannon balls tried to break through and failed. They say it’s the oldest city in America.
Funny you say that as after Charleston we do indeed visit both Savannah and St. Augustine. We spent ages looking at that Fort with seashells in the wall 😁
hey guys. New subscriber here and part of a you tube couple as well. We live about 45 minutes from Wilmington. It's a beautiful city and lot of TV shows and movies have been filmed there. If you haven't seen it I would recommend one tree hill rather than Dawsons Creek. Dawsons creek was filmed before one tree hill but one tree is the better TV show. Hope you guys enjoyed your visit.
Oh my goodness, Bless Your Hearts. Watched your video on touring Raleigh and now watching your visit of Wilmington. So sad you missed the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Raleigh. One of the original locations of KK is in downtown Raleigh, only about 2 mins drive/5min walk from the Natural History Museum. Hope you got a chance to taste “Western” style bbq. Welcome to our state! Waving hey from Raleigh
Love watching you guys explore the Carolinas, us Carolinians love some Bojangles and Bo biscuits. Kev would love the Big Bo Box, great for tailgating for American College football games. The Bo Berry biscuits are just blueberry biscuits drizzled with vanilla glaze (same glaze like a donut). They also have Cinnamon Bo Biscuits. The fixins are mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, dirty rice and of course the Biscuits! I saw another comment on Krispy Kreme, they are also NC based from Winston-Salem. Enjoying your vlogs as you travel down South towards SC, GA and eventually FL!
When you were in Raleigh at the Museum, you were about 4 blocks away from Krispy Kreme at corner of the Person & Peace Streets. Sooo close to the "HOT" doughnuts.
Hey guys, you were about 4 blocks from Krispy Kreme when you were at the Natural Sciences Museum in Raleigh. :) Sorry you missed it. Wilmington is a lovely city, glad you enjoyed it.
Oh no! Cant believe yall didn’t try the BoBerry Biscuit at Bojangles! Ultimate food hack - get a spicy chicken fillet biscuit and put the chicken in the BoBerry biscuit!
The BJs chicken is good but the vegetables and potatoes are very mediocre to bad...The chicken is heavy from the cheap quality oil that is used to fry it and a beer or some vinegar with water will help it digest much better ...
Definitely want to come here. Not a dawsons creek fan but one tree hill was filmed here too.
Never watched One Tree Hill, will add it to the list 😁
