It was a Stroke he had, not a heart attack. But that shirt is amazing. I love that his wife sewed it back together and now he wears it kinda like an inspiring battle scar.
Yes. Long time ago I found his books and it changed my perspective on my own inner knowing in terms of self confidence. Agree w what he says about people looking for data. Thanks Chris for having him on.
I’ve always believed that pursuing power was something to avoid-but recently, I’ve realized it’s not about rejecting power, it’s about how we pursue it. Instead of taking from others, I’ve focused on building people up to strengthen my own foundation. Grateful for the wisdom Chris and Robert share in this conversation-it’s given me a new perspective on my path. Excited to keep learning and growing!
As we get older whether we like it or not, we're given power and authority. Some more than others, we must be humble enough to accept this and be afraid of the consequences of poorly managed authority. I think the ability to harness fear is one part, maybe the primary one, of wisdom
While listening to this, I just realized that I always spent time by myself as a young child, latchkey kid, other traumas involved… I would play with Barbies, I would wash their hair and dry it, and style it and mess it up and do it all over again. I would make a little bowl with Shampoo in it, and one with water only. I made basically a little Salon, not even knowing what I was doing or realizing that I was doing this. When I was 19 years old I decided to go to Beauty school because it sounded easy… 38 years later I am still a successful hairdresser… Super successful! My life is fun, easy and effortless, and I feel like I’ve never worked a day in my life. I’ve been able to utilize my LOTS of free time and money to do other things, investments, and passive income and such… My life is great! I always appreciate, your content! I love Robert Green as well. I’m actually reading a book of his currently …The Daily Laws. Thank you!❤
@@some.velvet.morning thank you! It’s been a journey, and I have no regrets… Because without my journey, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. It’s pretty cool!

Sure, but I still think Chris could have gotten more out of Robert. I don’t care about the color of Chris’s product. Missed opportunity in my opinion. Chris really wanted to say something clever yet he couldn’t even get the name of the book out. I have definitely heard better interview with Robert.
Robert Greene is one of a kind. I could listen to him all day long. If anyone could list all the books he recommends to read that are his favourites I would appreciate it :) He’s one in a million so knowledgeable, interesting and humble in my opinion. Great listen.
Im 20 minutes in and Robert's words are sinking in my soul, stirring things up - bc I currently feel like he felt those years ago - searching for purpose in life calling, feeling out of sync with those around me etc...very soulful opening convo.

What an interesting character Rob is. I've not read his work, but I plan to now. His willingness to highlight the realities of psychology without apology is very refreshing. Another amazing job on the visuals too, stunning.
The side sections in the 48 laws of power were my favourite parts of book - The fables, parables, and stories that made great analogies made me really fascinated by the book
I'd never heard of Roberto Calasso, thanks. I get so much from these talks, from reading tips to validation that is lacking in daily life. All the best to Robert Greene, whose 48 book has been on my reading list for a couple of years (my list is long, I am short - on time 😢)
I always enjoy anything Robert Greene talks about, seeing his content and reading his books really aids in my life. It’s always nice being reminded of things he’s said or wrote as well. I look forward to his next book.
Roberts voice gives me so much hope towards a better life. The struggles he has been through and his ability to perceive the world and the way he does is magnificent. A blessing of our time.

Wow! Can't believe my favorite podcaster and favorite author are doing a podcast. Can't wait to write down everything I learn from this podcast episode!
I’ve had this idea to build an ai tool for UA-cam where if you are watching a podcast and you hear something you want to remember or save. You can have it highlight those seconds and cut it from the episode as well as transcribe it to text. I’m often times driving and hear something I want to remember and never can go back and find it or remember what episode it was from, etc. so a tool like that would be extremely helpful to me.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the conversation. I agree to the contribution of male role models. There seems to be a lot of confusion of what men should aspire to be. My personal opinion is that nothing can fill the role of a good father, but additional role models in public are also needed.
