- Robert Greene is an American author with 7 international bestsellers on power, seduction and strategy. His first book “48 Laws of Power” has sold over 1.2 million copies.
Robert Greene joins Theo to talk about practical ways to find your purpose, how his disillusionment (and even anger) with Hollywood led him to write about strategy and power, and the keys to seduction that anyone can employ. They also dive into Robert’s life and talk about his experiences with psychedelics, his investigatory past as a skip tracer, and his personal favorite authors and works that helped shape his worldview.

Thank you for having me on the show Theo.
So stoked to see you on his podcast! What a cross over, two of my favorites. Appreciate you both immensely
Eternally grateful for your work, Robert. Can't thank you enough for the positive impact you've had on my life. Thank you!
Wonderfull episode!! Thank u so much!
Amazing podcast today. So many “lightbulb moments”…. Theo you’re coming along nicely and this Louisiana girl is so proud of all the work on you that you do!
You helped me so much, and entertaned me for hours of books knowing tape. Thank you for sharing yourself Mr. Greene!!!
Theo describing words: "To think a bunch of letters could get together and party like that"
Meta asf
10:36 TREMENDOUS 😂
Really is kinda beautiful when you put it like that
Expand that to sentences, paragraphs, ideas, paradigms etc
"they're in gangs!" 😅
Robert: "Something happened 650 million years ago, that changed everything"
Theo: "What? Like spring?" 😂😂😂
Flew right over his head lol
"The big bang!!"
God happened. Not sure of the exact time though.
“Did they outlaw the art of seduction in prison?”
“I hope so” lmaooo
😅😅😅
They Outlawed all his Books in Indiana Prisons
When they both laughed after this, I was literally laughing out loud, like giggling - that was so funny to me 😆
One of the funniest moments ever haha
Broooo I havent so hard in a while. Robert said "I hope so" 🤣🤣🤣
I've recently heard Robert Greene say one of my favorite quotes ever. "Your laziness is something that has to do with you, you're not connected to something deep enough, you don't feel the devil at your heels" I will never forget that quote. It's awesome seeing him here with Theo.
"You don't feel the devil at your heels." That part stands out. When I'm doing good I'm lazy. When I'm broke, I'll do anything for money, because I feel the "devil at my heels." Is that what it means?
Amazing quote, thanks for that
Deep and dark
@@joeswanson401bingo, exactly, I love that part, I've replayed the clip of him saying it over and over
@@roydunia1417your welcome, he's always dropping gems like that
Robert teaches a lot about seduction/being a seductive person and one of my key takeaways from him in this interview is how when he would be answering something and Theo would jump in and change the subject, he didn’t get frustrated or resentful, he just gracefully adapted to the change in topic and kept flowing. That’s a very attractive quality. He is such a likeable person because of his flexibility and grace. He didn’t pretend to know about things that Theo was telling him about that he didn’t know about. Even though he’s clearly such an intelligent guy. He just went, “wow that’s interesting.” He’s kind, intelligent, adaptable, has a good sense of humor, while being sincere and sure of himself. Very attractive qualities.
You’re hot!
Being playful as well, is such an important part of seduction.
I noticed the same thing as far as the adapting after being cutoff repetitively. I'm definitely striving to get to that level of communication.
Dude like super insightful and special comment on social media I want to validate your genius and insight virtually because this meaningful
Watch Robert's interview with Jordan Peterson, Robert has the patience and humility of a saint. It's funny to think that Robert often says his flaw is anger but he exercises so much self-mastery.

The contrast between these two guys created something else.
I never knew I needed to see these two together in the same place!

I’ve never heard Robert Greene laugh this much. It was great.
Have you seen him talk to pretty girls? Check out the interview with “Speak your Brain.” She’s super cute and Mr.Greene is an absolute giggle fest. Very endearing ❤
@@gracefitzgerald2227 never seen that one, thanks for the heads up!
It's a tactic to build a rapport. Theo is a comedian and has spent his adult life wanting to make others laugh. Imagine how good theo felt after this.

Im glad you think that... ive seen similar comments when Theo was on Jockos pod and when Jordan Peterson first came on This Past Weekend.
"They look alike, maybe in the eyes"
"Yes, they both have two eyes"
Theo + Robert Greene????? WHAT??? This is the best day ever
never saw it coming! I was excited to listen to this episode!
“Brother you’re in a cult” lmaoo Robert’s delivery on that was so funny
You have just watch in awe as Theo navigates these chats, I call him practically articulate, no attitude or ego yet so comfortable speaking with such remarkable people. He is a Boss without acting like a Boss.
You have to watch him only pay his opener’s $100 that’s even more impressive 😂
@@imurtr0llhis management does all that and plus you gotta start on the bottom. Daniel tosh talked about on his podcast about how hed do shows and not even get paid sometimes by the clubs

Im a mechanic by hobby, not by trade. When someone is so stressed out about their vehicle being broken down and nobody knows what it could be qnd i come along and diagnose and figure out the issue and the person is so damn happy and they thank you vigorously.... I love that feeling. I love being able to make someone so happy with a talent of mine. Unfortunately i never pursued that career because i wanted to keep it a hobby but this pod definitely enlightened me.
You can just charge for your services
Literally just start charging for your hobby. That’s where tons of people start, dude. You’re 90% there if you have the knowledge
Theo's got that heavy hitter line up lately!
Im soo thankfull for what the two of u do🙏 im a 43 year old woman with a son thats 17, we both listen to u, means so much to me that my son can watch men that are wise, empatic, intelligent and autentic❤thank u from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you Robert Green for providing life changing books
For people from the “self-help” / “self-guidance” genre, I usually get exhausted by them and their delivery and personality, but this guy’s message and conversation style doesn’t bother me even after years. I think in part because he pops up, then he goes away for a while. He seems like he’s not just repeating a script even if it’s the same general ideas, and he doesn’t overstay the welcome.

🔥🔥🔥🔥 Robert Greene is a fire author that I came across accidentally. 48 laws of power and Mastery are two of the best books I ever read. Great pull Theo
I’ve watched a lot of Robert Greene interviews this one might be my favorite.
Damn Theo seriously is impressive in bringing out the best in his conversations and humor with his guests.
I’ve been binge watching past robert greene interviews for the last few months…to have a brand new one is absolutely incredible. I’m so excited
Why do you feel compelled to binge watch his interviews?
My spiraling mental state feels better after listening to this today. Thank you 🙏
I just recently started to follow Theo, on the contrary I've been following Robert for so long, I love Theo's versatility what a guest!! what a host!!
My brain didnt compute straight away! My favorite writer and comedian. Come on man, gotta love the collision.

Why? That desperate for likes?
Love how this podcast got personal with Robert Greene and didn’t just focus on the books
This conversation is like my personal Super Bowl. Both on my Mt Rushmore of greatest influences and wow, what a beautiful convo. Thank you gents!!
I'm 43 and I keep trying to accomplish one of my dreams. but I definitely feel overwhelmed because I was lost for so long and distracted by other things in life and not nurtured in what I was interested in as a kid. i was at barns n noble the other day and after about an hour of book hunting, I picked Mastery by robert greene. And now hes on the podcast that i always listen too. Crazy!
Dear Theo and Robert,
I cant describe how much these interviews do for me.
Thank you so much.
I am a 35 y/o female from Germany. Just got diagnosed with Aspergers and ADHD, and I believe I am partially a toxic narcissist as well, not sure though, its always a qustion of perspective. I fight with almost everyone and feel alone asf, esp. I fight myself all the time. Its quite difficult. Resources spare, isolation, welfare is nice but makes isolation worse, cant handle finances, fuck... its a lot. I want to do so much, am a singer and have lots of talents which go to waste because I seem not to be able to follow through with anything and cant be around people for long and groups freak me out more or less, man... these times are so complex.
Anyhow. Theo is a lighthouse for me every now and then.
And Robert is one of the few public humans who truly inspire me. I adore Robert. His book Mastery is a masterpiece. Robert gives me hope and his books eaze my inflamed mind, his interviews nurture me. In Germany, there is no content alike. Things are falling apart here and it takes a lot of willpower and discipline to keep it together and even build things and stay flexible.
I cant even describe all the levels of challenges here.. a lot of it is very low key and since people are usually dishonest and live lies, there is almost no realful rebounce, you are on your own. No matter how well meaning people are.
So again thank you for sharing his content.
It is healing to me.
Theo, could you please invite some German humans? Anyone...? :-D We need a bridge I feel.

Richard Simmons. Mr. T. HAHA Theo you are awesome and unique. Love it! I enjoy your podcast more and more with each release. You are better than Joe Rogan in my opinion. Keep it up man!
When he is talking about the way animals are slaughtered and how those hormones are bad for us.. I can testify ... I struggle with anxiety and stress like a lot of us... Had high blood pressure, so i decided to do a vegetarian diet for one week, and something i noticed was how calm and chill I became. So I stuck with it, feel less anxiety, I dont get stressed or upset at things that used to make me upset or stressed. I can solve problems much easier ... Im not saying its for everyone, and Im not one of these people hating on others for what they eat.. JS it serves me well.. it taught me "Reward the body and it will surely reward the mind" Much love
"Mr. T" and "Spring" had me dead.
Way to brighten my day. Thanks Theo and Robert. ❤❤❤
