@killingspree926 you've got to be kidding me...Seriously? The reason why he didn't win 1st is because David Oriente FUCKING PWNED the competition. Period.
Probably because of little things we don't notice without trying hard. Minor tempo things, clarity, etc. And an overall more competitive year for I&E. Sticks are M-Dawgs AKA Murray Gusseck sigs.
David's was still the best I've seen this year, and even going back to quite a few previous years following legends like Ivan and Casey. Assuming you play snare yourself, If you didn't get at least one "WOW" out of David's solo this past year, you must be trippin' balls....
@Tenorsarefun dude idc my style is different from yours i like technical clean hyrbid rudiments mixed with nice visuals and crap david oriente just didn't get me to go "WOW" and if you can't accept my opinion, go get some common decency -_-
@killingspree926 dude, David's solo DID have clean hybrid rudiments and plenty of flash too; maybe not as much flash as Manny, but enough to catch the attention of an ignorant audience. Take out all the tricks & critique strictly the playing, & David wins hands down. Now on a second note, I do agree that Manny had a much more impressive solo than Roberto Pazz and Probably even Takauki Nakabe. Manny should've placed 2nd fer sure. I think it has to do with Blue Devils biases.
Your consistency of sound is amazing.
Funny thing, he's my school's drum coach.
He is one hell of a perfectionist.
He should slow it down for them
Let me get the 08 one !
@Tenorsarefun yes whhy?
1:00 so much control. Nice.
does the sheet music for this exist ?
right at 1:13 sounds like a rip on the beginning BD 09 snare solo but he played it flammed... you think he was trying to insinuate something? lol
damnnn
fourth place? surprising. seemed better than oriente. who got 2 & 3 then?
Amazing my love. I'll actually be there this year...
This getting 4th is a damn joke.
two things
1.why didn't he win first like last year haha
2.what sticks are those?
There is no music written for this solo.....it can be if you would like.lol
@Unnamed2003
quite a solo to memorize. very skilled playing. congratulations!

that snare drum sounds amazing
Lol the double beat 9000 at 2:05
Hw should jave placed higher. Unbelievable.
Yep dats right. He went to my school :) and he teaches our high school drumoline along with Ricky Kostner, look him up too
@killingspree926 you've got to be kidding me...Seriously? The reason why he didn't win 1st is because David Oriente FUCKING PWNED the competition. Period.
i hate how i can't find a video of his solo as a blue devil. and it's been what, a year and 2 months now? :(
Banished...is that you?

@soccerdrummer13 he should have beat takayuki or whatever
Quality off the charts.
that's very true, i noticed that and david orientes solos as well. and the M-Dawgs are new right?
Nice Quality of sound.
nice sound
thanks man. i'd REP you if there was REP on youtube.
the answer to your #1: Did you see/hear David Oriente's Solo?
@347826able no but a black guy did come in first LOL
@crazyuki13 is that a serious question?
take one look at David Oriente's solo, and then ask yourself again.
David's was still the best I've seen this year, and even going back to quite a few previous years following legends like Ivan and Casey. Assuming you play snare yourself, If you didn't get at least one "WOW" out of David's solo this past year, you must be trippin' balls....
This dude is Sick.
VERY cool solo.
so much flow...
That drum sounds so nice. :)
@Tenorsarefun i am tripping balls then, and yes you are correct on that second note
Wonder why he's playing on a flat drum?
Manny is my drum instuctor

Good Stuff! I miss my Corp days
Takayuki Nakabe got 2nd, and Roberto Paz got 3rd.
@Tenorsarefun dude idc my style is different from yours i like technical clean hyrbid rudiments mixed with nice visuals and crap david oriente just didn't get me to go "WOW" and if you can't accept my opinion, go get some common decency -_-
The only thing I caught was the start of his 4's on a hand and that some of his flams sounded popped. Otherwise, he's got sick chops.
this blows my mind haha.. this dude is sick.. his taps some the same.. in places where most would naturally accent he doesnt... great stick control
I agree
No problem, bro.
GODDAMN
the king of transfers
He definitely deserved 2nd. No doubt. He's tickless.
Dude, you are AWESOME.
