After a chick has fledged, before it can fly independently, it can hop to a branch near its nest to wait for an adult to bring food for it. It may wait in the same spot for several days for the parent to return with food. While in Ecuador, I had the experience of seeing a juvenile Harpy Eagle waiting on a branch near its nest for its parents to return, but couldn't stay long enough for the feeding. Thank you for your wonderful program.
Please feature as well The Philippine Eagle 🇵🇭 🦅 It's critically endangered already and only a FEW HUNDREDS left in the wild. They need a lot of attention and support to survive.
When I was a child, the harpy was the only animal that scared me at the zoo, because I didn't know it and they were huge, with an intimidating look and huge claws.
Whoo hoo! Not did you talk about one of my favorite birds, I'm also getting a cool phone case!! I would love to see an episode on the Palm Cockatoo. ❤️
Yoooo I love this bird, got to see one up close. They say the most metal thing about them though is that when raising young they eat most of the carcass and leave the head for the babies to peck, so their nest is usually full of skulls
A METER tall!?! I knew somethings about the Harpy Eagle, but this was so much new information. Like I hadn't put together that their long tail feathers are helpful for navigating between branches, like parrots. And 10 months in the nest - what an investment by the parents! This was an excellent choice of topics, and an excellent presentation. Thanks for sharing your bird knowledge
A local zoo used to have harpy eagles and because of their sheer size, their claws and their enclosure being mostly shaded by trees I remember them being the only animal I was afraid of as a kid
I'm not sure what JKR had in mind when she came up with Fawkes, but in the movies it's clearly Buckbeak that is completely harpy eagle from the waist up (do birds even have a waist?) Fawkes is just kind of a generically splendid bird.
Probably been mentioned by someone else, but seriously animalogic peeps .... the pictures shown when she mentions Fawkes .... is a griffin.... Fawkes, is a phoenix.. Also, the pictures are clearly of a statue. More specifically, the statue staircase to the Hogwarts headmaster office. Anyway just had to get that out 😅 I adore the harpy eagles though, so CUTE! 🥰
I’m surprised you forgot the fact that Harpy Eagles have comparatively shorter wings which lets them attack prey in trees more efficiently than other eagles because they don’t have to worry about their trees bumping into the leaves or branches
I like very much the harpy eagle very beauty, strong and power bird of prey the most beauty for my opinion eagles on earth all the eagles are amazing but harpys are very beauty 😊
They look so cute and funny. Juxtaposes their apex predator thing 3:57 I really thought that the presenter was about to say "the eagle's trademark feature is the way they move their head as if it so *ugh huh, no you didn't!*" Like a black lady in older comedies "Ugh huh, girlfriend! Oh no you didn't'!" If they had hands, they'd definitely be snapping their fingers there 😅😆😂 And really enjoyed this. Speaking of Harry Potter films, the music here reminds me of that. It's got a lovely wonder to it 😊🥰
I had the opportunity to see them in a zoo, and for no reason at all one of them really wanted to kill my partner and I lol. We weren't even talking or taking pictures or anything, and it looked straight at us with a "come at me" energy and crouching with a puffed up neck. Became one of my favorite animals right then and there haha
Man. I'm jealous of everyone living in a tropical area. The southern US is turning into a semi tropical landscape, but I desire more plants, and Sexier. Like Amazonian flora.

Sloths and Monkeys nightmare
Please make a video about Shrikes.
Philippine eagle next please 😭❤️
Fun fact, we tried composting a pela case and it didn't break down at all, so we composted it again ... and again.
It takes very long to break down
I hope u feature philippine monkey eating eagle for your next blog
I always think that their crown makes them look like they just got out of bed. lol Super cute!
When you go to bed with wet hair and it parts in an awkward way and dries into that shape 😂
Accurate description! haha
It’s always reminds me of Sideshow Bob from the Simpson’s
Harpy, the royalty of Brazil's eagles!

What a cool fact!

Haribon 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
less support, they need us out of the way lmfao
It looks intimidating yet precious!!!!
@@GrassPossum the bunny parts were a bit hard to watch; I kept looking away. Nature can be harsh.

That’s no eagle. That’s the front half of a griffin.
One of the few animals that look like it's out of this world, like a Pokémon or something out of a fantasy world.
The National bird of Panama ❤️ 🇵🇦, quite the honor to be able to see one :)

👀👀 Metal indeed!!
Pela should do some cases with Danielle’s drawings on them. I love Harpy Eagles, they are amazing…beautifully done.🖤🇨🇦
I heard that wild harpy eagles tend to be rather relaxed around people, as long as you don't try to touch them.
I suppose someone from the editing section got a bit confused on what a Greek harpy is....because it has nothing to do with harps x)

I knew some things*
I'm loving the bird of prey content!!!
YAYAY! Glad to hear it :)
Loving this comment!
A local zoo used to have harpy eagles and because of their sheer size, their claws and their enclosure being mostly shaded by trees I remember them being the only animal I was afraid of as a kid
*Harpy Eagle shadow looms overhead*
Sloth: A…A…A…A…H…H…H…H…!…!…!
~_~
A bird with a really bad feather day is this Harpy Eagle!
I first read the title as "Happy" Eagle and thought "Damn, he don't look happy!"
hahaha! love it !
Sloths: **exists**
Harpy eagle: I’m going to end this man’s whole career
8:53 "...due to humans destroying rainforests"
That might be somewhat misleading, I think. It's mostly very greedy and powerful Corporations.
Fascinating birds! They look gorgeous 😍
They really do!
I love harpy eagles they're so beautiful!❤
We love em too!
ㅐ 그냥 그 때 저는 정말 좋아하는 스타일 중 제 블로그 글 잘.
I ADORE birds, especially those of the ‘raptor’ or ‘bird of prey’ class, like Falcons, Eagles, and Owls. Such majestic, powerful creatures.
8:29 the photo of a chick wrapped in a blanket isn't what I thought I needed until I saw it
Beautiful, and I love their "hairdo"!
It would be amazing if you could talk about the Philippine Eagle!
I LOVE HARPY EAGLES THEY'RE SO CUTE
Oh.. sloths are so adorable but that eagle is absolutely beautiful
All Harpy Eagle will probably have 100% catch rate if they see a sloth 🤣
Harpy Eagle looks like it speaks the language of the gods
I would love one about the steller's sea eagle, it is my favorite of the eagles and practically nobody talks about them
Harpy eagles are so beautiful when they fly.
When you realize that even Jaguars (apex predator) don’t even hunt these birds.
😲😲😲
Sloths never stood a chance 🫣
The Bear is totally gonna win that fight.
I’ve been waiting for this episode
If the eagle eats sloths, I guess they were like, "welp, this chap's just lying there all day every day. It's practically a free meal."
I can't believe they made Eda Clawthorne in real life.
I'm not sure what JKR had in mind when she came up with Fawkes, but in the movies it's clearly Buckbeak that is completely harpy eagle from the waist up (do birds even have a waist?) Fawkes is just kind of a generically splendid bird.

Oh! Oh! do one on the "Firehawk" behavior exhibited by raptors in Australia!
I used to be so scared of Harpies because of the last unicorn 🦄 hehe

They eat a lot of sloths?
So you could call it... a Slothering? 😅
Hahah!
Totally unrelated to the subject matter but I LOVE your earrings in this video they look sooo good
Thank you so much!! They are one of my favorites :)
Is this the eagle in the Nicholas Cage meme? Beautiful birb, I hope that they can be properly conserved before they disappear because of humans.
We hear a lot about hummingbirds but it's extremely rare that we hear about the sunbirds
I still want a video on the ROADRUNNER and it's trickster, coo-coo ways. (Yes, it's a relative of the Coo-Coo Bird.)
Cuckoo
Have you been paying attention to the Internet? According to them "Birds Aren't Real."
cute, yet so *bloodlust and terrifying.*
Accurate!
It is basically the Amazon Rainforest's apex avian theropod dinosaur.
Before I knew about this bird and I couldn’t remember it’s name, I kept thinking of a bird playing a harp
I like very much the harpy eagle very beauty, strong and power bird of prey the most beauty for my opinion eagles on earth all the eagles are amazing but harpys are very beauty 😊
please do the Philippine Monkey Eating eagle!

*What bird needs to wear a wig?*

*A bald eagle!*
That 10 cm talon size is crazy.
Somebody is dancing here..☺️😁

Okay kids, time to decide which of you gets to live. :)
Haha!
That bird's grumpy. Thats One grumpy face....
If I was at hogwarts this would be my owl equivalent.
Hi from Brasil! Harpies are my favorite bird :)
I love this anchor 🙏's presentation
Thank you for your kind words!
First video I watched after my shift! I have a love of all things Birds Of Prey related!!! Great video
YAY! Glad you think so!
The most powerful of the raptors - magnificent creature!🦑
They truly are!
You should also feature the philippine eagle.
Legit my favorite bird. Looks like a queen.

Now that's an eagle 🦅!😃
If you watch it muted, it looks like Aranya's rapping 😄
This really made me laugh. Will take that into account next time 😅
@@aranyaiyer5994Sorry. I meant It adds to the natural feel of the presentation.
Also, I just wanted to ask, how do you decide what bird to do next?
8:46 Enjoyed the iambic pentameter
Man. I'm jealous of everyone living in a tropical area. The southern US is turning into a semi tropical landscape, but I desire more plants, and Sexier. Like Amazonian flora.
I thought this was the largest eagle in the world. Guess I was wrong.
The harpy eagle has the largest maximum mass of any eagle (12.3 kg) but in terms of average mass it’s basically tied with the steller’s sea eagle
Absolutely Brilliant and B-e-a-utiful. Love these birds even if they do often go after one of the chill'est animals around.
😄👍
Cabot's Tragopan please!
I've only learned the existence of this species recently, but it would super cool to see a feature on them!
Wow, I’ve been waiting for this one for a long time. One of my favorite animals let’s go!
Unless they are hunting primates they make their call. They can judge their reactions and decide weather to attack or not
Nice episode, Philippine eagle next please.
Id love a video about burrowing owls! They are the strangest and cutest owl if you ask me
Most awaited ♥️❣️💕
Felicidades excelente trabajo 👍 Congratulaciones 👏👏👏👏
Pls talk about Philippine Eagle Next🦅
Eagle + owl = harpy eagle
A video about the white tailed eagle would be interesting
This lady does really well. She doesn't sound like she's reading straight from a script. It sounds so much more natural, like an actual conversation.
I am glad you think so! Thank you for your kind words ☺
Have you discussed the birds that start fires?
I love Eagles, evolution took there time with you, beautiful bird.
This bird is the equivalent of those hunters who go after giraffes and say it was a tough hunt.
Screw this bird XD
I did a project back on it in eighth grade! Such a cool bird!
Whoa! The monkeys were each given the first and last opportunity to fly.
Great video animalogic!
I hope u feature philippine monkey eating eagle for your next blog
I love how she just glanced over the fact that it hunts deer , WHAT ????
