Tips To Install the Pro-Line F-250 Body & Half Cage On The Redcat Racing Gen8 - RCU How To

- It’s no secret that the Redcat Racing licensed International Scout II Body is a huge draw to the Gen8 kit, but drivers do like to customize their rigs. So in order to help you customize your Gen8 a bit easier, we’ve taken on the task of fitting aftermarket bodies to the platform. Pro-Line Racing has helped is with another body install video by providing their Ford F-250 Cab body and Half Cage for a custom install. In this video, we’ll go over some tips and tricks on how we made this body fit the truck. There will be some cutting, trimming and even some eye-balling, but when you’re done, the Pro-Line body set will look awesome on the Gen8 and should help your rig stand out on the trails with an ultimate RC scale look.

Pro-Line Ford F-250 Cab Body: 3392-00
Pro-Line Half Cage: 6322-00
Tools Used- 2mm hex driver, .050 hex driver, side cutters, Lexan scissors, hobby knife, and box wrench (rotary tool optional)
Hardware used- Two 3x6mm flat head screws, Two 3x15mm flat head screws, two 3mm lock nuts, 20x3mm Magnets with 5mm Countersunk Hole (10pc)

Do some custom work with the gen7. No one really does that. I love my gen7.
The dashboard on the Axe Edition can be equipped with lights to light up the instrument cluster. Have to take dashboard out and drill 4 holes but it’s a little egg I found putting my new Axe Edition body together Redcat sent me for my new Axe Edition. Thanks Redcat will send some emails of her when done!
Why not use magnets in the front as well? The posts work but take away from the scale look of this RedCat. Excellent ans easy mod for a nice rig!🎅

There needs to be a OBS ford body
Did you need to change the wheelbase at all?
That is not required but can be done depending on how you mount and modify the body.
What size tires are on this truck
Well the outer diameter of the tire is 4.5 inches and the inner diameter is 1.9 inches. They are about 1.5 inches wide.

So has Redcat decided to send me a proper undamaged Axe Edition Scout ii body because mine came damaged. I paid $500 for this new release and don’t think it’s fair I spent $500 on it and thousands of 💵💵💵💵💵 on redcat racing upgrades and your rc’s and this is how Redcat Racing does a top paying customer not a shop business or sponsored by anyone everything I spend comes out of my own pocket. Help me out with this PLEASE!!!
Why not return it?
I want to keep my original order of the new Axe Edition, loyal to my stuff and I just want to return my body and trade for a new one. Shoogoo is not the answer here.

Glad someone understands brother cause it’s frustrating man. My original gen8 I have over a thousand dollars into it alone with redcat upgrades only. Not to mention the other 3 gen8’s that I’m working on building up plus my new Axe Edition on top of that. Spread the word for me brother cause I want Redcat to hear about this through the Grapevine and possibly do the right thing. Merry Christmas to you and your family brother.🎄🎁💰
