How To Mount The Pro-Line Racing Ford Raptor Body On A Redcat Racing Gen8 Scout II or PACK - RCU

- Up until now, all of the option parts we’ve featured on our Gen8 display truck have been from the Redcat Racing line of parts. We hope each video has shown you what you need to know about those option parts and how to install them. Now it’s onto something a little different. We have received many emails asking what bodies fit the Gen8 and how do you install them. We’ve teamed up with Pro-Line Racing to show you how to mount several of their bodies to the Gen8 ready to run and PACK kit. The first body we’re going to show you how to install is the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor, Pro-Line Part #3509-00.

@@djr01974 no I didn't matter of fact since this was just the chassis kit, it didn't even come with them. I am actually thinking of adding them though to help keep the crud out.

LOOKS GREAT ALL BUT THE BACK BUMPER, STILL A LITTLE TOO MUCH SPACE THERE. BUMPER NEED TO BE RAISED A BIT
Agreed! That back bumper being so low makes it hard to use it with most bodys. I am mounting a jconcepts 79 ford f-250 and have to raise the bumper on top of the frame rails for it to match up to the body with a custom aluminum mount. Another thing to consider is the body height. If the body is short on the sides the floorboards will show on the bottom, unless u leave extra lexan on the body when u cut it out.

Yup! Should be mountable on almost any 1:10th scale truck model chassis - like the GEN7 model.

A 3*14mm should work.

Do the screws for the body posts come with the body posts themselves? I didn't get the screws with my bumper set that came with my gen 8...
Screws for parts like body posts or bumper posts usually do not come with them no.

Looks awesome, but why does this say its for the Traxxas TRX-4 on every Website? I punched in the product # you left in the description & even on Prolines website it says 100 % drop in fit for the Trx-4. I thought Redcat teamed up with Proline to make this exclusively for the Gen 8? am I missing something? Thanks for your help
HKGuy Snowman#1 The good thing is you can still use the inner fenders with this truck to use this body on the Traxxas you have to either trim or take your inner fenders out
What is the part # for the screws you used for the body posts?
So you just need the same 2*10mm screws shown in the manual for the Gen8

@@RedcatracingAZ could y'all do a video showing it mounted up? Someone mentioned it in a redcat group on Facebook and it got quite a bit of interest myself included. I think it'd be a pretty cool build idea. More money for redcat if that becomes a common body swap.
People like myself would just prefer to see it mounted before buying it. That's alot of money 😅 I'm willing to spend it if it looks right tho and I know plenty other people are too. Thanks for the reply
