THE BOYS Season 4 Episode 6 Breakdown & Ending Explained | Review, Comic Easter Eggs And More. We review, recap and explain episode 6 of The Boys Season 4 on Amazon Prime Video. This breakdown has easter eggs, comic callbacks and all the new characters. This episode shows The Boys going undercover and entering Tek Knight's Mansion only to discover more than they bargained for in his basement. Sister Sage pushes MM a little too far and Homelander pushes his plans into action with the help of Victoria Neuman. Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down the Boys.-Phoooo just finished it and yep, gonna be difficult to talk about but let's try not to get tied up in those crusty details. Throughout this video we're gonna be breaking down the easter eggs, hidden details and callbacks to the comics. We'll also be talking about that big thing with Kessler but the first rule of Kessler Club is that you don't talk about Kessler Club...until after the spoiler alert.So here's your warning and if you enjoy the video then please hit the thumbs up and make sure you subscribe for our videos every week.With that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let's get into the boys.-Now the first thing I wanna talk about in this breakdown actually comes at the end of the episode. That is the reveal that Kessler is in fact all in Butchers mind. It's a moment ripped right out of Fight club with the character simply being a hallucination. Now this is something we've seen with Butcher before as he's heavily hallucinated Becca. There was also his younger brother Lenny who appeared at moments during Season 3.

I reckon A-Train is definitely gonna die doing something heroic. The way he smiled when that kid saw him drop off MM. He’s getting the full character arc. He’s basically the one that started this whole mess. He’s gonna be the linchpin that helps The Boys finish it. (I haven’t read the book)
The books are completely different. A train is evil and Hughie kills him In the comic. They have changed alot for the better.

In the comics, Noir is a Homelander clone, tasked with killing him if he gets out of line. Now we find out that the new Noir can fly. I don’t think the new Noir is being set up as an exact clone; that’s more Ryan’s role. But I am guessing the new Noir will end up more powerful than he appears, and will act against Homelander. Particularly because the new Noir is unhappy in the Seven,

@@ktankinfinity My take on that scene is that the Deep is inspiring the new Noir to abuse their powers and use violence as a power tool. I took it the new Noir is going to become more "evil" after that and be more in line with the rest of the seven. The Deep was basically recruting Noir to Homelanders new Supe army.
And from what we saw in the trailer for the season, Noir and Deep is probably attacking The Boys headquarters next episode.
I loved the scene with The Deep. I hate the dismissal of how f’d up he is just because he’s stupid. No, he knows what he’s doing.

The show started with A-train killing Hughie's girlfriend and showed how heroes give no sh** about dying innocent walk-ons. Now Hughie's father goes on a killing spree which was completely caused by him and his mother and he also seems to give no sh** about the victims. The "good side" is completely soaked into that toxic greater cause - collateral damage cycle. Add Starlight's meltdown, Butcher's turning into a monster and Sage's character joining the "bad side" to this and we have the lines become blurred greatly. Perhaps in the final season, good and bad will change the sides completely.
I love the way how it depicts every1 is selfish n their own way. Starlight was viewed as this perfect angel but she mistreated Firecraker n her past. The Biys is dope

Butcher isn't turning into a monster. He always was one for the most part, only he learned how to compartmentalize that part of himself away from Becca. The discussion he had with the militant part of himself reminded him of how he used to torture ppl to get what he wanted so he'd make peace with the fact that it was who he was. The situation with Homelander didn't turn him into a monster. It has simply brought it back to the surface.

Isn’t it crazy Sameer is also the same scientist actor from The Mandalorian. He’s basically playing the same role but in a different show. Also, Giancarlo Esposito the Mandalorian who was cloning is the one making supes on this show. Shawn Ashmore who played Lamplighter aka Pyro in this show was Iceman in X-Men. So in Supernatural S1, John Winchester played by JDM, hunts the demon who killed his wife. Similarly, Butcher hunts Homelander who technically didnt kill Becca, but his actions did "kill" her.
Also, another similarity or call back or easter egg with Supernatural is that John Winchester in Supernatural hunts ghosts/spirits/demons but in The Boys, he is Butcher's imagination, essentially a ghost/spirit/demon himself. 😂
I've watched a lot of recaps and people seem to be avoiding talking about Tek Knights family history and how his bulter was cast as a black man that calls him master
Yeah that was a double standard on tek knights part. Calls him like a father figure but treats him worse than a servant. Good thing the butler got his revenge in the end. The theory is canon, it is emphasized the blue v spilled and contaminated the drinking water (see bottle of water in rabbits cage most likely contaminated with v) while the rabbit was being as far as the scientists knew was being administered temp v only via i.v (you can see the rabbit drinking the water before butcher removes the iv)
The fact that Sage ran to the alarm proves she’s in for herself, she’s smart enough to know he would shoot

They are losing the narrative plot. Did the authorities just forget about the hospital murders last week? Are we suggesting Homelander didn’t hear anything at the party. The lost powers trope is so old. Still some good stuff in the show but it is slipping this season.

If the hospital had cctv where A-train dropped mothers milk I believe that’s how vought will find out about his betrayal; also too add if the little boy says A-train saved a man and is now how hero vought may investigate it. That’s just my two cents

Some UA-camrs get advanced screening of all the episodes. There is no way they can write up and produce a video with all the Easter eggs (some of which probably take a few watch throughs to find) and screen captures of scenes in just a few hours.

I suspect the studios also provide these YTers with complete packets of information that includes Easter eggs and other trivia to keep fan interest high.
Some of the references are just too obscure for any YTer to catch. The only way these videos are so well-informed is likely because they were given inside information beforehand.

Season 4 is kind of disappointing so far…
Does anyone else feel like Black Noir and Homelander will have another fight this season? Homelander mentions that tek knight isn’t equal to him because he can’t even fly and then later on we find out that black noir can fly. I think black noir genuinely might be almost if not as powerful as homelander but we just don’t get chance to see it, because he’s limited so much by vought 🤔
You're wrong about the comics! Noir COULD NOT FLY! He had a small flying private aircraft that he'd constantly crash cause he didn't know how to fly it but he was an exact copy of Homelander except he was physically stronger and minus the flight ability!

Tbh for me it doesn't matter that everybody already knew that Kessler wasn't real, I really liked how they revealed it, by letting him insult Becca. This was great.

To add to the Toronto part: The show is filmed in Toronto as well, so they cleverly used the CN Tower to show he's somewhere else, when the irony is thats exactly where the filming is taking place.
I love that piece of trivia but it was kind of random. They never explained why he was in Toronto. Then next time we see A-train he's at the mansion party with the rich donors.

Have you considered that Tek Knight isn't dead in the show? The loyal servant choking him out immediately caused The Boys to leave, which would have been the only possible way for the servant to save Tek Knight from them. Otherwise, they would have stayed there and tortured him to death.

This has to be the best episode so far this season, it was messy, chaotic, gory, plot (amongst other things) were thickening! Constantly had me laughing but gripped to the screen. Can’t wait for the final episodes !
Nah definitely ep 4 these past 2 episodes have been superrr filler and boring I could have easily skipped this episode and wouldn’t have missed anything other then jeffery dean morgan being in butcher head.

My 2 theories are that one tek knight was just fanboying so he ignored that because it looked like he started to question things early on. The second one is that she overheard sage talking to Ashley about it

There should be no way Sage knows about Homelanders breast milk fetish or Ashley being bald. Even if she’s the smartest she would need to use gathered information to connect the dots and I doubt Ashley nor Homelander are allowing those side of themselves exposed. Unless she omniscient which she isn’t it’s bad writing that’s overlook

She’s the smartest person to ever exist. If anyone could figure those things out it would be her. Ashley is easy because she would def be able to tell the difference between a wig and her actual hair

The thing about A train going to Canada is they’re all chipped anyway. They can’t trace the call but they always know where all the supes are. If Homelander has loyalists in place they could easily report that A train left the country.

That scene was unnecessarily dragged on. People don't seem to realize how much it was in bad taste. I know the show is meant to be unhinged but the writers absolutely were playing the scene for laughs. Hughie trying to guess the safe word was also a blatant attempt at eliciting laughs.

I like your note about butcher and homelander’s fractured minds reflecting each other. Each fragment could represent the id/ego/superego systems of each character. Butcher only has 2 cause he (ego) is trying to mediate between the hallucinations. Homelander has 3 cause his sense of reality is completely centered around himself. Not in the way the US government is going. The US Scotus is just making up legislation out of thin air and with the eroding sep. of powers I could easily see a US Senator lose a race only to end up 2nd in line to the Oval through some f'd up GOP congressional motion.

My favorite detail from this episode has to be the look of satisfaction on A-Train's face after seeing that kid's smile when he rescued MM. Like he's remembering what it means/ how it feels to be a REAL hero without all of the politics, and murder muddying the waters. Probably hasn't felt that good in a long time. Though hopefully, said rescue isn't televised in the next episode-- because if anyone catches wind that he rescued the "enemy", he's f*****.

How cool would it have been to see her squirt some milk, but they never showed it. Elizabeth Shue had no problem showing a nipple here or there. All we got was Homelander's reaction. Meanwhile, they seemed to have no problem showing penises everywhere. Also, I wouldn't say I like the leftist fantasy of how evil the right is. When the MCU started dying, people refused to accept the projects were failing, instead they defended it until it was publicly accepted that the MCU had destroyed itself. I see the same pattern here, people defending the show, even when it's getting worse with every new release. Also, robbing us off of the firecracker scene is criminal. They have no problem in showing graphic male nud*ty but for some reason they haven't shown a single female n*de shot or any straight s*x scenes.
