Calculations on clearance - Renal and metabolic clearance

When a drug is administered it can undergo clearance out of the body by various routes. Among them metabolism and excretion play important role. So for many of the drugs, total systemic clearance of the drug is the sum of the individual clearances of renal and metabolism.
