Can someone explain the 3 part solution exercise please. I follow up to the part where he creates the ratios. He says two parts of the 10% and two parts of the 8% but ten parts of the 2% ? I’m confused because the 2% broke down to 2 parts and the 10% broke down to 6 parts and the 8% broke down to 4 parts. So why does he say the opposite?
Alligation alternate rules- 1. The substance with a higher value than the reqrd is the one with the lower amount... 2. The gain in value or amount of one substance balances the loss of in value or amount of another substance....
Nice sir! Ur animation always helps to get clear ideas!

4&6 are opposite to 2% that's why he said 4&6 and added them.

sir how to determine where to use 0% and where to use 100% in determining the concentration of the soultion??
When we mix with water, it is 0% . When a pure solution is initially used for mixing then it is taken as 100%.

You are wrong with working example 1. Your question states 4 parts of 6% not 4 parts of 16%. Your answer is wrong.
As it is 4 parts of 6% that's why 6 parts of 16% is required to prepare 12% solution. Hope its clear now.
