Hi Robert good way to start the year . 73 years old and still fish 100+ days a year and have arthritis in my hands from so many years of fishing and foosball . Small price to pay To go have some fun . Take care of yourself and thanks for the video

Here in newfoundland Canada we do very well night fishing and early morning for sea trout , and most takes are in complete darkness !! It's such an adrenaline rush !!!

I have caught many seatrout in so dark you barely see your line anymore. I use fluorescent pearl with the fly/lure and light it up with UV lamp after a few casts. I feel people are too afraid of fishing in dark :)

Your finger pain may be ulnar nerve entrapment. The nerve typically gets pinched in the inner elbow. I got it from casting too much and was in sever pain for months. There are stretches and motions you can do to help it. If it gets worse see a physical therapist. You have a great channel. Thanks

Congratulations on getting out and landing your first sea trout for 2023. Here in the New York Catskill region when on the Upper Delaware or other local rivers night fishing can be very productive with a great chance of hooking the larger trout in the river.

Great fishing. Mind that hand, those strains tend to stay with us as we get older.

Congrats on great season start :) I would recommend getting a headlamp for fishing in night conditions. Its safer for you wading in unknown spots and handling hooked fish. For fish its also good as you can net and unhook them quickly.

A flashlight will scare the fish away, have to be very careful with with any light. A small redlight headlamp can work if you turn towards lands to change a fly or something. Other than that, only night fish spots you know well!

man blir aldrig besviken när man ser dina videos Robert! grymt fina öringar! tyvärr så får vi i södra norrland nog vänta lite innan vi kan fiska havsöring igen xD har inte lyckats hitta öringarna under vintertid här.

realy nice fisch, and it has done its job, giving good gens to the next generation!!! i dont know why,but i dont get any fish in the morning. no matter if fly or lure. even at night in deep winter i catch more. i think they dont want to wake me up during fishing... and i love the way sweden is taking care of their wild life, germany is so stupid in that way.... only restock our dead rivers. no restoring. in the end we have so much small trout, its nearly stupid to fish for them. the last year i get over 100 trouts but only one postspawn in legal size and 2steelhead for the kitchen. and no cod since 4 years now, that is what makes me realy sad... greatings from Fehmarn

Your very lucky I live on the west coast of Scotland once had some of the best sea trout known unfortunately all gone because of the farmed salmon and all the horrible stuff that comes with it .

Recently found your channel and am hooked! UK native, Sea Trout / Bass are the Grail for me, your vids are so inspiring, chomping at the bit to get out myself. Also, am on the lookout for a replacement wading jacket, I love my Vision waders, are the jackets any good?

Good video , we fish for sea trout at night time on the rivers here in the UK. I 've been to Sweden many times since I was a boy , around Gamleby and Vastervik , are these good areas for sea trout ?? I normally fish for Pike and Perch .
