Robert, you have some of the very best fishing videos on the internet, they are incredible. Your reactions and enthusiasm are so relatable, I was holding my breath and shouting during the landing of that second fish. Thank you for doing what you do.
As others have said, your videos are so relatable. I love the passion, enthusiasm and authenticity. Really like the fly tying links. Brilliant content. Thanks so much for putting in the effort.
I really liked the stillness in the video. It's exactly this calm that I like on a windless day, even if the catch is worse. Greetings from Germany and TL
Robert, I love your videos. In addition to the great patterns and tips, your enthusiasm makes them among the best fly fishing videos on UA-cam. I would like to get to Gotlland and fish (with you) for those beautiful silver fish. I wish you many more brought to the net, and please keep making these videos.
Awesome conditions in which you can notice every light nibble. No rough conditions can touch this, in my opinion. There are not many impacts, that could interrupt the connection between you and the fly and that brings that huge excitement. Beautiful fish😍 looking forward to more like this👍🏻
I used to go fishing for trout in the morning before school and then after school. helped to live on the riverbank. Probably the happiest times of my life?
Very cool video probaly one of my favorite fly fishing videos on youtube, super nice camera angle and super quality. Chill vibes but also intense fights. Wanted to try out fly fishing for a very long time and finally bought my first rod and reel. Hope there is another video on the way. Firm handshakes from Denmark
Thanks! Makes me glad you like it! Hopefully every next video will be more pleasant to watch then the one before as I learn editing. I will stay away from dismember with jumpcuts.
I use an empty plastic bottle that held spices or something that has holes in the cover for shaking on food, slip the snippets in there then empty at home. One with a second lid to cover the holes and is quite small is no problem to carry.
Jag såg den här kanalen efter att ha sökt. Jag bor på Gotland och älskar att fiska väldigt mycket, och varje dag fiskar jag på Gotland. Jag hoppas att få träffa dig en dag
What a cracking fish. I would swap 10 Salmon for 1 Sea Trout on my fishing adventures. I was lucky enough to fish for Sea Trout in The Western Isles of Scotland when I was posted there for 2 years on lochs and rivers. I think they fight longer in the loch because there is little current for them to tire likewise for the sea. It is common practice to fish for them in the sea around the Orkney Isles off the Northern coast of Scotland. Sea Trout are better tasting fish but a wild caught Salmon to my own rod is a decent second best. I liked and subscribed and maybe one day Sweden will be on my itinerary.
Hi Robert your videos are superb . I was telling my fishing buddy about you yesterday . It’s a small world , he says tell him I’m asking for him ,Brian McGlashan he spoke to you in Ireland when you were sitting your casting certificate test
What a beautiful fish mate! Do you reckon shrimp patterns are the way to go for sea rummers> ? Tassie gets alot of searun trout but here in victoria australia the sea runners are quite rare and there are only a few rivers and estuaries you can fish for them. Im yet to catch a silvery sea runner but they are on my bucket list. Love your vids by the way mate ?
Hi there could you give me a link to were I could buy a few of those grey shrimp fly to try here in Scotland was looking through but most of them don't have the length as am planing sea and estuary fishing once this lock down is over lovely spot your at cracking sea trout worth the early morning trip 👍🏴
Hi Robert, could you tell me which fly line you use? what about your front is it a 9` 0,34 with a 0,31tip or have you gone down in tickness when it`s so flat water
Thanks. Nothing to do with weather but with water temperature. I use a floating line for slow retrieve. If I used a sinking line it would sink down and get stuck if I didn't retrieve fast. Fast retrieve is great at high water temperature when the trout is more active.
What a beautiful chrome ball of muscle. I have caught sea trout in southern Tasmania and they were by far the strongest trout I’ve ever had on. Were is this? Iceland maybe. Looking forward to more videos.👍🏻
Hi Robert , I've just find your video on youtube and I must say it's awesome . I wanted to ask you about your Gopro cover ? What kind of cover is it ? Thank you for this nice video , looking forward for more videos like this one.
Cool video and i see you have a monomaster but i do not understand why you drop your tippet pieces in the sea? Imagine how people get influenced by you
Monomaster is designed to twist the tippet around the inner axel with spikes. I only used it for the last 6 months and am really happy with it but I cant get it to work for short pieces of thick tippet. It just spits it out again. Happy if you have any advice? I dont want to throw things in the sea and didn't notice I did it in the video. Usually put it in my pocket. Im a supporter of the #plasticinthebasket initiative and have a goal of collecting one ton of ocean plastic in this decade. For me it is one of the main reasons to go out and fish at all, so I do care about it.
Wow, I love this video!!!! Very similar to what I do here in Vancouver. You said that here in North America we would call it a sea run brown trout, but it looks more like what we call Atlantic Salmon. Is it not? Any way I am subscribing!!!!
Damn nice man! had that as well last year, big fish around 60-65cm, almost to the shore just without any reason just came off. But caught 7 fish that day so couldn't complain that much.
Robert, you have some of the very best fishing videos on the internet, they are incredible. Your reactions and enthusiasm are so relatable, I was holding my breath and shouting during the landing of that second fish. Thank you for doing what you do.
"A full spin around the tripod"! 🤣 Your enthusiasm is infectious! Cracking fish!👍

7.54-7.56: I know that feeling! Your look says it all! 😉👍

I have a thing for big waves too but I see what you mean 🙂Thanks! Will for sure take my camera again next time conditions are like this.
I'm on my way to the island now and this film is a great inspiration for my upcoming weekend.
Filmed in the same time of the year 😉 tight lines
Your enthusiasm and excitement is what fishing is all about - its a joy to watch your videos :) Hello from Australia!
Awesome!! What a way to start a day!! Loving this format of video too :) Looking forward to more!
Thanks Eamon!

Very nice video. I like, that it has not many cuts. Shows how exciting sea trout fishing can be. Congrats to this wonderful fish. Well deserved!
Thanks! Makes me glad you like it! Hopefully every next video will be more pleasant to watch then the one before as I learn editing. I will stay away from dismember with jumpcuts.
@@FlyFishingbyRobert good content doesn't need jumpcuts 😉
Most exciting Flyfishing ever seen 👍
The best days of your life enjoy cheers from Scotland
Fabulous video! Made my day in Covid-19 self-isolation here in York, England...
Nice fish! Robert, when covid will stay away, I will come to gotland and hire you as a guide! 👍
Nice video and great fish 👌🍀🎣
Just remember, to get your line cut off snippets.
back home. so it doesn't turn into micro plastic and gets into the fish and other animals
I use an empty plastic bottle that held spices or something that has holes in the cover for shaking on food, slip the snippets in there then empty at home. One with a second lid to cover the holes and is quite small is no problem to carry.
Good man Robert another excellent video and beautiful sea trout or as we call them here in Wales UK sewin
Thanks Derek
Stunning seatroot as we say in Scotland 🏴🏴🐟🎣😁
Robert, carry on fishing, phone in sick! Amazing fishing, always want to try sea trout from the sea.
Wow... Nice fishing video... Put smile on my face while finally you could net the fish

Fabulous fish! Love your videos Robert. Only thing, your reels are too quiet ha! Nice to hear the reel sing with a good fish on..!
Thank you. Glad you like the videos! I will have to have earplugs. I can not use a squeaky, noisy reel 😂
Hey Robert, good stuff. You got a link for the rod holder on your backpack? :)
I have a video link: ua-cam.com/video/2ZK39O1Njzc/v-deo.html

Hi Robert, could you tell me which fly line you use? what about your front is it a 9` 0,34 with a 0,31tip or have you gone down in tickness when it`s so flat water
No change in tippet dimensions. The line is the Vision XO.

The clip that you use to carry your extra rod, what is that called? I've been looking for something like that.
O´Pros 3rd Hand Rod Holder. Great stuff!
@@FlyFishingbyRobert thanks
strong healthy fish, beautiful scenery.
Where you fish in the sea, is it near a sea trout river ?
There is no rivers nearby. It is an island i fish on. Only smal creeks.
What were the rod mounts you had on your back pack and line basket? I'd love to know as look really handy.
They are called ”O´Pros 3rd Hand Rod Holder”
Thanks Robert. Tight lines!
I've just ordered 2! Perfect for my sea Bass fly fishing when wading as my rod always falls off my line basket 🙈🙈
Hei. What rod weight and lengt do you prefer for sea trouth fishing?
Hi. Nine foot seven weight.
Nice fish 🎉
Which backpack Do you use in the Video?
Greets from another Robert 😁🙏
What reel is that you're using?
Vision merisuola #7-8
Why dont you film with a polarized lens?
I film with an variable nd filter to have the right shutter speed. With the setup I have I can't really stack different filters.
What rod and reel are you using? Thanks
Vision Stifu Sea trout and Merisuola 78 reel.
This video is so cool! Takk! Thanks! 🇧🇻
Thank you!
Man, this is cool! Why do you think a floating line is preferable when fishing cold weather? Very interesting!
Thanks. Nothing to do with weather but with water temperature. I use a floating line for slow retrieve. If I used a sinking line it would sink down and get stuck if I didn't retrieve fast. Fast retrieve is great at high water temperature when the trout is more active.
Nice catch friend 🎣🐟
