Excellent video, thank you so much. I'm just starting out with digital design but it's been something that I've always wanted to do. I'm torn because I don't know whether to buy a 10.2" older iPad or go for the 12.9" iPad Pro. I'm not a 'upgrade' type of person and I generally use things until they're no longer usable :). I would mainly be using the iPad on my desk or on a sofa, not really taking it out and about anywhere for sketching as such, so portability isn't really a factor. I would like to use it for merchandise to compliment my existing business, designs for tshirts, mugs, mouse mats, washi tape and maybe even digital art for sale on Etsy too. I'm mainly looking to buy an iPad for Procreate. Any advice on screen sizes would be appreciated. Thanks for all the great tips, the cat looks amazing! x

One in particular involving a certain bun lovin Princess, a few layers, various brushes and the importing of text from 'Over' and/or 'Wordswag' - I'm still working my way through your videos so I thank you again!
This alleviates the needs to go in the color palettes and choosing different shades and you use only two colors black & white and just adjust the opacity. Exactly the best procedure in shadows and highlights.

Awesome tutorial. You offer useful tips in all of your videos. Now I want to know if you left out the shadow on the ground of the cat by choice or was it just an oversight for the sake of speed? Or if there’s a reason you have, but didn’t mention it, again for the sake of speed? Or you just did not feel it needed it to put it in. If there is a reason I’m curious, because that’s the only thing in your graphic design, that I feel is missing or lacking. This video has been a great help, because I have a design I want to put on a t-shirt, but now I can see I may have to redo it to improve the quality for the reproduction process, as well as the correct “share” I should use to export it.

@@BeeJayDeL do you have to rasterize procreate5 text before saving the file to go to tshirt printing? I uploaded a font into procreate5 text library and used it in my art. It is asking me if I want to rasterize. If I do not rasterize the font before saving for print will it not print or come out crazy during print?

Thank you for this video. I know it's an old one but I have a question about the colors for print. I know that procreate now has cmyk colors but can you save a cmyk colored file as a png? If not, then do the colors look close enough when printed if done in RGB? I have been creating png files for sublimation but I'm afraid of how different they might look on the screen compared to when the customer prints them. Thank you thank you

4500x5400 is a secure good default size? I am usually drawing portraits A3 so i am usually not sure about is bigger better, or just find a silver lining. thanks
Vojin Milojkovic Its really up to how you plan on using your final product. I addressed the 4500x5400 in particular because that is the required canvas size to upload to Merch by Amazon. If you are using for something else, just remember that the bigger the canvas, the lower number of layers you have available! Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!

Hi. I’m somewhat new to Procreate. My Question is can you use Procreate alone to download on Merch design Amazon? I noticed that their templetes were all through photoshop? I don’t use photoshop yet. I’m waiting for the version for the IPad Pro.
You can open .PSD files in Procreate, bu there is really no need to use the templates. Just make a custom 4500x5400 300 DPI canvas in Procreate...make your design and then save it as a PNG with the background turned off (transparent.) Good to go!
But can u still save image even if it does have color in background like white or black

Wow! Very informative video on creating, as you call it, Amazon Merch or Merchandise. My understanding, if I am correct is that these PNGs (and PSDs?) are templates for fabric designs (T-shirts, etc?)
No PSDs- just PNGs that are uploaded to the Amazon platform. Amazon prints and ships the designs on shirts (production is currently closed right now due to the pandemic.)

Thanks! The recording on this one was done with the built in screen-recorder on iOS. Just pull down from the top right corner on your home screen and there is a round record button! Super easy!
