Those golden spiral on those painting are overlapped intentionally, even child's painting can be like this if you get to adjust the spiral however you want

Very well explained! One other reason why I love the golden ratio is I have been instinctively breaking the rule of thirds in favor of this rule even before I heard about it. Many compositions just feel lopsided with only the rule of thirds in consideration. It's often a combination of several rules and/or breaking some that helps one end up with a powerful and pleasing photograph.

Hey! That’s fair. I recently checked out Wikipedia on the Golden Ratio, and it’s had numerous disputed observations points when it comes to the ratio (here it is en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio)

Hey!! Thanks for watching this one :) honestly, it’s just one of many tools in the toolbox is how I see it … some people only use it and say it’s the only way - but I don’t see it that way …
I've always been charmed and persuaded by the beauty of the golden ratio. But as I grow older, it seems more and more that this is more of a projected notion than actual correlation in many art-related cases that do not attribute to geometry in nature. For instance, many of the art pieces in this segment have the golden ratio slapped onto them to emphasize the pattern being reflected in the painting. But there is nothing that couldn't just be put anywhere and have the same fit if you choose to believe it. Is this really a valid notion, or is it, as I wrote earlier, just another reminder that humans are so inclined to detect patterns that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy? Thanks for upload.
Hey! Yeah I do agree with you that the spiral can be put on top of anything and we just say that “this is how it was supposed to be”, but in my personal interpretation with art in this case - I do think that we do try to explain everything and justify and pattern…. in case of this video, I really just wanted to show what this might look like and if you’d like to try to use it - it can be one tool of many to experiment with.

Hey! I looked into this for you. I think the simplest drawing to show the golden ratio would be a flower. If you google golden ratio flowers - images will show up to give you a good idea of what I mean. Hope this helps :)

lol best of luck on your homework. i definitely suggest you do all the research you need to get it right on your own. The rule of 5/8th is intertwined with the Golden Ratio. Both 5 and 8 are in the Fibonacci sequence; when you divide 8 by 5, you get closer to the ratio number of 1.6 (which is close to - 1.618033 - the actual golden ratio number)... best of luck on your research with this. And just like the Fibonacci code this is a reoccurring independently occurring in a unrelated, independent mathematical reoccurrence with synchronicity. I know I probably didn’t say that right, but you know what the fuck I mean. If you can quantify it over and over again you might know what will occur in the future or how nature works and essentially that is science. If you can re-create it over and over again get the same numbers you’ve just conceptualize a new law and physics. maybe you could create one of these things. I didn’t know I could sing. I’m pretty sure I could sing pretty well at this point. But I never believed that I could so I never tried it. Now I know that I have the Bility to do things the others cannot. You should test your own nuts comfortably in your own time because maybe you could do something to help all of us.

You can make ANY random pattern of lines line up with the features in a painting by adjusting its size and position. Sorry, but I think you are just caught up in the big "golden ratio" myth. Hey! It’s purely up to the individual whether to use it or not; or whether it makes sense to use it or not; or whether it holds value; or whether they consider it to be true or a myth. And yet at the same time the rule of thirds, which is basically the simplified golden ratio has been heavily used/taught in photography/art for quite some time now (or the precision of five eighths if to be further exact) - to help with the basics of building a “classical” composition so to speak. Just another tool in one’s toolbox. As for it being meaningless in art - that’s absolutely your prerogative to hold that opinion.
