I must be becoming a right proper sap. I’m seating here watching and listening to Boothy with a proper lump in my throat and not afraid to say a little tear of pride. Never thought I’d see another video like this from Boothy 12 months ago…and he’s the chillest of the lot.
Same .. when he said he wasn't crying at the end I had a lump in my throat this guy is amazing 13months and racing is insane and no matter what words you say I think everyone is very proud of him
This time last year I was in an induced coma for three week, due to sepsis. I’m now 4 weeks without a walking stick, every day a little better. Boothy gave me the ‘fuck you, I’m not giving up’ attitude to my recovery. Cheers mate, big kiss!
To complete in a BSB support race is hard enough, but to do it with one leg, a year after such an awful, life changing crash is something else. Well done Boothy. Great video. Oh. Yeah 😊
“We’ve already had to do some running repairs to the leg to make sure it doesn’t drop off”. Guaranteed never said it a paddock before 😂 big love Boothy
The use of the word running also made me laugh considering. Glad the adversity has not dulled his sense of fun with life. Boothy was unlucky but also lucky as it turns out. As another bike caused raspberry ripple I take my hat off to him.
I was the victim of a smidsy just before your accident. I kept my leg thanks to half a hundred weight of titanium, although some days I wish I hadn’t. You’ve no idea how important this is for me to see. Thanks mate…. Genuinely! ❤️
You can put this towards some new boots, you seem to have some holes in yours ; ) all jokes aside, amazing to see you out there. I smiled the whole 30 mins of this video.
Yours was the main event I was watching for on the Eurosport coverage Boothy. Congratulations on a fantastic performance and the onboard footage really shows how hard you were on the brakes. Just hope that Perkins can get his race licence together and that'll be all three of you on it!
It may not have made you cry, but there's definitely been waterworks here. This made me so happy. You champ! Thank you for sharing and for being such an inspiration!
Hard to put into words how incredible this video is really. This channel has become something quite special since discovering it thru covid and admittedly I started mostly watching barons content I quickly realised how brilliant al and boothy are too. How this channel isn't the biggest amongst our community is beyond me. It feels like a family and boothys journey has become one of the most heartfelt things I've seen on UA-cam and this comeback makes it all the more sweeter. Congratulations doesn't seem quite enough somehow. I hope you all at the channel realise how much you help others thru times of good and bad. It truly feels like a lil family over here at 44teeth so thank you. And legend gets thrown around far too much these days...but boothy you truly are one
Boothy you absolute legend!!! Words can't describe how in awe I am at your sheer determination, will & humbleness. So happy to see you back in the saddle & enjoying it! It wouldn't have mattered if you binned it, didn't qualify or f*cked up the race but you nailed the entire weekend beyond what anyone would have expected, well done sir! Can't wait to see your progress over the season as you get more comfortable on the bike. You gotta give Al some credit though for setting the bike up for a "fuller rider" shall we say 😂
Boothy warms my damn heart, and at a well needed point in my life. His positivity is contagious! I'm currently dealing with a mangled hand (all 5 metacarpals broken, as well as wrist, and ulna and radius heads). Ripped the cast off and took only 3 days off of work because who else will pay the bills? We love you Boothy. ♥
Brings a tear to the eyes watching this, absolutely incredible effort boothy and a great result for your first race back. The journey of recovery never runs the path you expect it to, I took me a while to understand that my recovery path was going to be one I had to make, and not some pre designed thing. Standby for corners you didn't expect, camber that can both help and hinder and straights that are never really straight, but I can promise you, it'll be worth it in the end. All the best bud.
Boothy, you're a Spartan warrior lad. Cannot express how much respect I have for you. You're an absolute champ. It must be so so hard to face this head on! But to do it with such a humble and positive outlook is another level. Much love to ya and here's hoping your return to full form is kind. Always remember (not that you probably need) but "Baby steps still carry you forward"
I'm just happy you had fun with it! Remember, you were the person someone else was trying to pass, so feel good about that! Plus, it has to be emotional to get back into that which changed you. That feeling on a bike is great though and I'd want to be out there on the track as well!
Awesome. If I may, I think you should look at an attachment that isn’t shoe shaped. Maybe something that quick detaches to the “peg” or a replacement bit of kit for the peg. This should allow for more clearance as the standard width of a shoe shaped object isn’t hanging off the peg. You may even be able to look at a way to use thigh leverage as a control for the rear brake. Not sure about the brake situation but the attachment to the peg area can definitely be refined.
Boothy, I saw you at the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 in the paddock doing the tv thing, and honestly felt for you mate. Then this racing comes along and YOUR there man ! YES !!! I hope you realize your fans are beyond happy to see you and your competent ways bringing IT man ! Massive congratulations 🎉 for this race weekend mate, you have the Inner strength and will power to enjoy this sport for years to come. You will adapt and be very fast again, make no mistake. It takes time but you have time and the abilities to learn new ways for gettin almost all that feedback back while riding. Peace brother, im so so loving this, im truly emotional 🥹 BOOTHY IS BACK 🙏👊🏻✌🏼🤘🏼 44 Teeth has its cast back in full. Yeeeee Haaaaaaa Sorry im from western Canada 🇨🇦 and that’s our cowboy call
Boothy you said don’t take the piss because you had tears in your eyes, well I’m sure you weren’t the only one , that really made my day seeing you back, great to see thanks mate🍺🍺
Great, hope to see more races with Boothy in the future! Maybe a prosthetic for riding with an axial rotation on the ankle area could help to keep the foot tucked in and the knee out.
So proud of you Mike. The 44teeth lads in the BMW cup make it all the better. Nooooo question that you deserved that prize 100%. Mad respect from everybody watching you be impressed af was heavy amazing and uplifting. All the attention was on you Boothy, the crowd willing you on, every lap. You delivered.
Love seeing the third member of team back on the channel, Boothy is a total hero. I was at Brands yesterday and the sound of these bikes, such a deep tone and so loud 👍
A Joy to watch, total legend, and hugely inspirational, if there was a rider of the YEAR, you'd be winning that too...... Welcome back, and Thankyou :-)
Not surprising that you were a little emotional at the end mate, I certainly was and I bet I’m not alone. Fantastic effort, can’t wait for the next one.
So many feelings about this...proud to see Boothy back on two wheels, must have felt cool to be back on a bike and the courage to get back on is amazing...well done mate
This is what we all have been hoping for for the last year. Boothy *_exceeds_* all expectations. Way to go mate. You are on the right path. Have fun with it!
This warmed my heart. Boothy is a f**cking hero. Overcoming a level of adversity most are lucky enough to never face in pursuit of still turning up for something that he still loves. He’s the soul of motorcycling.
Dear friend! You are my hero, you are an inspiration to us all. Sorry, but even though you didn't shed a tear I must admit that I did. As usual you bring smile on my face with your positive attitude, I am 55 years which like extreme stuff - skiing and motorcycle riding but I am nothing compare to you. Keep on doing the thing you love Your mate Ami
I think that it being a hard road back is an understatement, you have a full racing brain with a shit load of talent and you’re having to learn again and that mental battle must be hugely difficult. The fact it’s hard will make the overall journey longer but so much more rewarding. True inspiration to anyone who’s been through anything similar but also to anyone who hasn’t, fair play mate and I look forward to many more racing vids and following your progress
Well done Boothy! As a fellow amputee (AK) I can relate to what you feel your limitations in feeling the bike and having your boot scraping the ground. Cracking Job and the more you ride the more info you will have to recalibrate
Boothy you bloody legend!!! Very well done indeed for your epic comeback. What you’ve had to relearn and adapt too on such a short period of time is astonishing. Don’t be too hard on yourself as that was a real strong return. Upwards and onwards 👏👏👏👏👏👍
Absolutely brilliant that was, from where he was last year to that race can’t help but be proud of him 💙💪🏻 Can’t wait to see him progress back on to form and I’m sure he will Go on lad !
Hi mate. I had a bad bike accident where I had seven breaks in my back lost my spleen, lost my finger. My right knee was completely shot And full of metal. Right ankle fused. This was in 2011 still not been on a bike but after watching you today mate I am going to get back on one and thank you. Good luck mate I really mean that.
You're an inspiration mate! Keep pressing on. You may not know it but you're showing very well that you can indeed triumph over adversity. You've done way more than you think you have. Top work man!
Seeing boothy back racing again has made my day what he has had to overcome so much I take my hat off to you brilliant video aswell can't wait for the next one well done boothy 👏👏👍👍
Try a really strong neodymium Magnet in the boot inner sole, and use a mild steel footpeg. Or a long neodymium Magnet recessed into an ally peg ( machine the groove to sink the Magnet into it ) then use a steel plate in the boot. It'll separate if you and the bike part ways, or when you get off normally, but should stay together when riding.
Even if you are 25% down on feedback/feeling your are still 100% faster on 2 wheels than I will ever be 😂😂😂. Fantastic race and I commend you on talking about your emotional joirney 👍👍👍
I must be becoming a right proper sap. I’m seating here watching and listening to Boothy with a proper lump in my throat and not afraid to say a little tear of pride. Never thought I’d see another video like this from Boothy 12 months ago…and he’s the chillest of the lot.
Yeah, must admit i got a bit emotional when they gave Booty that award...
It's great to see genuine happiness
I’m exactly the same. Trying to keep back a little tear for Boothy from start to end
Same .. when he said he wasn't crying at the end I had a lump in my throat this guy is amazing 13months and racing is insane and no matter what words you say I think everyone is very proud of him
Absolute Legend!
This time last year I was in an induced coma for three week, due to sepsis. I’m now 4 weeks without a walking stick, every day a little better. Boothy gave me the ‘fuck you, I’m not giving up’ attitude to my recovery. Cheers mate, big kiss!
Best of luck with your recovery
Keep smashing it pal.
Being 202 years older than me, you have done well to survive it, keep up the positive thinking 😎👍
Well done mate, keep breaking down those barriers!
Sorry to read this Julian. Our grandson aged 20 got it back in April and like you is still recovering. Keep going mate and your get there.
To complete in a BSB support race is hard enough, but to do it with one leg, a year after such an awful, life changing crash is something else. Well done Boothy. Great video. Oh. Yeah 😊
Well when are you going to do a budget bike battle with them please Mr neeves?
“We’ve already had to do some running repairs to the leg to make sure it doesn’t drop off”. Guaranteed never said it a paddock before 😂 big love Boothy
The use of the word running also made me laugh considering. Glad the adversity has not dulled his sense of fun with life. Boothy was unlucky but also lucky as it turns out. As another bike caused raspberry ripple I take my hat off to him.
We all love you Boothy! What a guy, true inspiration
Dont lose your prozzy
Mate I’ve know you for a long time and honestly your a fucking legend the way you have got on with life after the accident has been amazing 👊🏻❤️
A year off, comes back with a leg missing and still qualifies for the main race, absolutely brilliant young man. Well done.
Yep, faster than I'll ever be fully intact!
I was the victim of a smidsy just before your accident. I kept my leg thanks to half a hundred weight of titanium, although some days I
wish I hadn’t.
You’ve no idea how important this is for me to see. Thanks mate…. Genuinely! ❤️
What Boothy has achieved in such a short time is unbelievable. Can't see anyone disagreeing with that.
Also, this comment section is the reason why I love the biking community.
Even non bike fans will enjoy this video purely because of the passion and determination. Great to see you back Boothy
Think you left out "non" ?
@simonportlock586 I did, it's been a long day 😂
You can put this towards some new boots, you seem to have some holes in yours ; ) all jokes aside, amazing to see you out there. I smiled the whole 30 mins of this video.
The man with the biggest plums in the paddock what a hero ❤
25th on yer first race back is an awesome achievement, I loved how many people were applauding you in the pit lane. Looking forward to Thruxton.

I bloody loved that. Rider of the day indeed. What a brilliant way to finish off a great comeback. Outstanding boothy and 44 teeth. :)

You're the man Boothy! Your comeback story is inspiring for a whole lot of people. Picking up 7 places in the main is pretty damn impressive.
Well done Boothy, that was a great watch, thanks for taking us with you on the emotional rollercoaster.
It makes me so happy to see Boothy thriving and back on the bike in less than a year from hospital discharge
Dear friend!

You legend, Boothy - you are a real inspiration to anyone, regardless if they are a fellow biker or not 👏🏻
