My advice...get your hair and makeup done by a professional. Be vocal and tell them exactly what you want. Wedding days are so incredibly stressful and being able to just sit and enjoy a drink while someone else does it for you is heaven.
That's the best advice ever......
Yes! Plan and pay for big things that others can do better. Then on the day sit back and enjoy. Trust that you have chosen well and simply enjoy yourself!
I would just do a gloss instead of the lipstick they used, everything else looked good
I would just do a gloss instead of the lipstick they used, everything else looked good
I agree do lots of trials and take lots of pics of what you like and don't like
Hei Mia! A tip from me. I thrifted around 80 gold candle stick holders for my wedding. It was expensive, so I had to sell them afterwards. But I kept like 10. I also keep a table cloth and other decor pieces from the table in a box. Every anniversary I decorate our dining table just like our wedding day, even though it is a regular Tuesday and we are just eating spaghetti with the kids 🥰
Omg that’s so sweet !
Love this, absolutely precious ❤️
That is such a lovely idea
Oh wow, I absolutely LOVE this idea! Xxx
Awe this is cute 🥰
As a makeup lover and someone who regrets her makeup from her own wedding: have it done professionally, but show them pictures of how you did it on yourself. You know your face and what you like.
Why do you regret it? 👀I can't imagine someone doing my makeup honestly and I would be anxious. So I'm collecting opinions from brides now 😅 that's why I asked you
@@Poppynator my artist did a great job! But at the time I had never worn any prior to that day. If I was to redo that part of the day, I'd still stick with my artist, but wear more/different makeup. An artist is totally fine as long as you do a trial and see references from their prior work!
For my wedding we actually took leaves and hole punched them and used that as confetti along with dried lavender
Ohh that sounds really cute!! Probably would be quite tedious to hole punch a bunch of leaves though
@@Aster8807 yeah but no tedious cleanup!
That is so so cool!
I'm def voting to let the professionals do the hair. They did an amazing job. And don't worry. The "smoother" look will happen when your curls fall.
I could vote either way for the make up. If you decide to go with a professional- just be upfront about exactly what you want and have photo references of the look you did to compare to. Give them a chance to get it right! :) I think it comes down to, do you really wanna be messing with all that on the day you're going to be over thinking 1000 other things? Happy wedding!
The professionals had brown eyeliner which suits her colouring better, yes definitely the pros
Also if you don't like what they did tell them. I was a bridesmaid and had to re do my hair after they left.
I agree, she should def tell them that she wants more natural and could even show them her trial pictures of when she did her makeup to show them what she’s going for
I definitely loved the back, but I didn't love the face framing. Mia did better in that regard. Her own makeup was also better, but I loved the eyeliner from the pros. Reaching a happy middle and having someone else do it for her would probably be so much easier for her on the day of. :D
My vote: hair by a professional and makeup by you!!! I love the way you did your makeup and it’ll be nice to not have to deal with your hair on the day of :)
I agree, she can do the makeup while someone does her hair
I agree! I think the professionals did a great job with the makeup, but it was a bit “harsher” (for lack of a better word. I know very little about makeup terminology >.
I totally agree. Perhaps a little bit more eyeshadow in a light pink.
My vote too. I did it this way because I just never feel like me when someone else does my make up
yess 😊
I’ve heard that getting at least your hair done ends up being a huge relief for brides!
I would also want to do a makeup trial but end up doing my makeup myself because I know exactly how to make my eyeliner shape flattering and I’m very particular about the shape of my brows lol
My 1st wedding was stressful (yes I had 2 for my only marriage xD).
My family is Japanese and French while my husband in from Mexico. Our fist wedding was only ceremonial in Tokyo for my family. I had everything done professionally cause there's just 0 time in a big wedding you're literally running around since 5am and you have your bridesmaids, the groom, groomsmen your parents and grandparents plus that 1 great grandma who never knows what's going on. Even getting to the ceremonial breakfast while making sure you're not missing anyone is stressful.
Doing your make up for professional photography and videography is actually much harder to do than you would think.
In most of Asia typically the bride and groom sit in a fancy room and take pictures w all guest which is sometimes when they bring in their gifts (you dont open gifts in front of people in Japan so its for later) and than the bride and groom seperate and take pictures w close friends, the bridemaids, the groomesmen and than family. Because we send the pics to the guest after the wedding as thanks for gifts and coming. Than the couple takes a lot of indivual pictures.
After that you CHANGE dresses and have the wedding followed by the ceremony party which is different than USAs. If my grandparents hadn't paid for I would have just bought a house xD but they really wanted the wedding cause the next 2 older grandkids are gay so this was the only wedding they'd get to see.
We had our second wedding in Mexico. I just wanted a typical Mexican backyard party. My sister-in-laws did my nails, make-up and hair. We had it at my husbands parents house, we put out a dance floor, great food, a band and karaoke and a piñata for the lil ones. That was such much more fun and way less stressful.
Never underestimate how intense wedding are.
@@SaintShion I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said and it’s super cool that you had two weddings but just a friendly reminder that gay people can get married too lol. I attended my uncles’ wedding a few years back. And my cousin (who’s a lesbian) is currently engaged!
@@gwenculver1040 thank you, oh I understand I mean its not legal in Japan for gay people to get married and my grandparents are scared of America because of guns and the news lol so they wont be there physically. That's why I said that. My brother is actually about to get engaged he just goesnt know it yet hehe. We're setting it up as a surprise.
@@SaintShion oh okay! That makes so much more sense lol. Also congratulations to your brother!!
@@SaintShion Hii! Hope your brothers engagement went great! :)
I LOVE the makeup you did yourself! I personally think it looked more bridal and did suit you better than the other. But I would find an artist who can emulate what you did so you aren’t having to worry about doing it yourself💖
Hi! The hair by the professionals was stunning, the make-up on the other hand - much better done by you ♡ happy wedding, Mia
Exactly my thoughts. The makeup the professionals did didn't really suit her face and it was too much. I liked the hair Mia did however I did like the professional hair a bit more
I agree!
I agree I think the same 🥰🌸
I was thinking opposite 🤣
They contoured her face too much and it made her look like a different person. The hair was nice though
Tip: I work at a bakery that does wedding cakes. The biggest complaint I hear our bakers say is that the cake table isn't set up when they deliver the cake. More often than you'd think, they arrive with a super expensive and temperature sensitive cake and nobody seems to know where it's going!!
That's just one tiny detail I thought I'd share from the other end of wedding planning.
Also,it costs soooooo much to have it cut by the pros (because they'll have to stay/come back after the meal to do it), so have someone designated to cut it later. Preferably someone sober lol.
huh! good tips
The makeup you did was beautiful Mia!
I did my own makeup for my wedding and I was just happier knowing it was exactly how I wanted it
But best believe I had my hair professionally done
Yess!!!
Mia wearing a Land Before Time sweatshirt during editing is EVERYTHING
And her brother got it for her in an old video, so is even cutter🥺
My sister-in-law will 100% say that having hair and makeup done professionally for your wedding is one less stressor for a busy day. Not to mention, professional wedding makeup artists and hairstylists know how to make sure the makeup lasts and looks good for photos for these kinds of events and also done in a timely manner because a wedding day is schedule intense. She went back a second time to her makeup artist/stylist to tweak the makeup look with critiques on what she wanted. The first one was slightly too glam and the colors were not exactly she wanted. But she had a great relationship with her stylist and so communication was very transparent (this stylist has been doing her hair hair for a couple of years before her wedding). The wedding was a two day affair so the stylist knew the tips and tricks for two days of hair and was able to repeat the makeup look twice consistently under observation (since a photographer was around for both days). I'm not sure why I always hear people doing the makeup trial complain about the initial look and didn't communicate to get it right so the second run would be more to their taste? That's literally what the trials are for.
Agreed!!
Agreed! I had 2 trials before my wedding for the makeup because the first time was WAY to glam for me and I am more natural when it comes to make up like you.
Idk. I know what looka good on me. When I had someone do my makeup I HATED IT. Did it myself in 10 minutes day of my wedding and it was perfect.
@@thebarefoothobbit I'm glad it worked out for you. My sister-in-law had to be up at 6AM to get to her appointment at the salon (and she's so not a morning person) for both hair and makeup and then get to the ceremony at 9AM (photos at city hall were best with a morning ceremony per the professional city hall photographer because of natural lighting and less people). The stylist even snuck in doing makeup for her mother. My sister-in-law was definitely just taking 10 min to just get her shoes on for her wedding with help.
I Love the hair by the professionals, the twist they did on top and the flower placement they did within the hair was on point,
As for the make-up, I think you did your make-up better then the professionals, they made your eyebrows to dark :) love you
Not just the eyebrows but what on earth did they do to her lovely nose?
@@phangirlable yes!! She has the most beautiful nose, and it was done really bad. She does her own makeup better. They did not blend well under the nose, so it looks like its dirty, and the lines on the sides are crooked so it looks like she has a crooked nose.
I agree… she doesn’t look like herself with that make up.
That's what I was thinking.
I agree exactly!! The hair was so pretty but the makeup just looked so off. I've seen mia do it beter herself
The amount of crafting love and effort you’ve put into this wedding will be all worth it on the day because it will be perfect x
I just got married in a civil ceremony at a local courthouse. We started planning it two months in advance, and even with just a little under 20 people attending I was SO ready for it to be done 😂 Kudos to you and all other brides who have that anticipation and stress for a year prior!
Hair by the professionals, and makeup done by you. I did wedding makeup years ago,and I think being able to sit and have your hair done is just a good way to take a moment and relax because wedding days are so full on! Also lash extensions before the wedding are good for a lot of brides ☺️ 💕
I agree with this except for the lash extensions. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE lash extensions and used to do them consistently. Then one random week, I developed an allergy to the glue out of nowhere - within hours, my eyes swelled shut and my face looked like I'd gone five rounds with Muhammad Ali!
It took three days for the swelling to go down (even though I raced back to the salon and had the lashes removed right away).
Just not a risk worth taking, in my opinion. But YMMV. :)
For the makeup:
If you go with a professional, have them smoke the liner out with more brown and less black.
For the makeup you did it was BEAUTIFUL but for the sake of photos, add like a touchhh more bronzer/blush, and the glitter is BEAUTIFUL so maybeee tap some of that on the eyelid instead?👀🤍
100% agree. And maybe you can do the ceremony without glitter, and then add it for the reception
Yess i was thinking glitter glitter sparkle for them eyelids it wld add the biggest last touch!
Yes sometimes if the light isn't hitting glitter just right in photos it can look dusty or like there is something unintentionally on your face.
My exact thoughts, Mias face makeup was nice for face to face but it will NOT show on pictures. Her eyes were better suited though I think, so if she showed them to the makeup artist they could recreate it. (Mia if you're reading, i also reccomend adding just a touch more of the pillow talk on top, i feel a bit less peachy lips will fit the whole wedding decour a bit more (a small detail but looks nice in pics))
I think the professional artist did her nose strangely. There was too much highlighter on it, as she said she knows her face better. 😊
But if she went for a professional artist, I'm sure she was vocal about her needs and showed them her ideal "after" for them to recreate. :)))
I went to a wedding with vintage/thrifted vases, candleholders, as well as the dishes. It looked fabulous! They were actually able to "rent" it so they didn't have to own it.
It's *extremely* refreshing to see someone thrift for their wedding. I wish that it could be more popular than just throwing-money-and-getting-into-debt-for-a-nice-wedding-memory, because the whole thought process towards it in the outcome has been organic and your wedding was just incredible. So, in other words, thank you for going the extra kilometre/mile.
makeup done by yourself and hair done by professionals. Yes to the glitter !!
I love the wedding content !!
Yeeeesss
Totally agree, The makeup u did was better, but the hair I liked more what they did, you should just say the changes you want 😊
I LOVED the professional hair but honestly I wasn't the biggest fan of the makeup, you still looked gorgeous but I feel like you were right about doing it yourself
My mom mentioned that it was really nice to not have to be at the helm on my wedding day. Having a coordinator even if it’s a family friend just makes it so your mom can enjoy her daughters special day. And a good photographer (well organized and has the style of photo editing etc you want) is also a big deal. 😄😊
the first part where you shared the variety of vases and candlestick holders makes me so happy. people are often quick to judge when certain couples may not be abe to afford uniform decor for events like a wedding. i love that you're normalizing this unique look as an OPTION!
Personally, I love the makeup you did! I would go with the “professional” hairstyle.
I agree completely! I think Mia’s makeup looked more like her self
i agreeeee
Mia: I think I want a more natural look."
Also Mia: "Now let's add glitter."
Mia, never change!!!
We appreciate all the content you’re pumping out, especially with planning a wedding at the same time! Being apart of the journey feels so special 🥰
I adore the way you did your own makeup! When I had my wedding this February I did my own make up and had my hair done. But I love to do my own make up. So if you you like to do your own don’t let anyone say you have to get yours done!
Hair and makeup by professionals honestly seems the best choice! You get to sit back and relax, while still looking flawless at the end! every woman deserves to feel the luxury of that
💯💯💯
Agreed. It was a trial run. She can get them to tweak anything she is not happy with. That said… I vote for her to add her eyeliner and glitter during the reception, that way she can have both. The reception will be the time to exhale, jazz it up and have some fun.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
The dried flowers as confetti is such a cute idea! And I vote having someone do your hair and makeup, I feel like it's one less stress for you. And it's your day, so feel pampered
I definitely vote for the professionals to do your hair and makeup. I did my own for my wedding and I felt so rushed and stressed because of it. You don't want that
I just wanted a backyard bbq for my wedding but my mom got involved and we ended up hand making invitations, thrifting the center pieces, sewing the table runners, making my veil. It was stressful at the time but it was fun looking back. I was soooo happy my mom was there to help plan and think of all the details. I was so in love and floating, I couldn’t be bogged down with practicalities like bathrooms, parking and everything else!!! Now that my daughter is all grown up, I can’t wait to help her with her wedding!
I got married 2019, and this was basically my wedding vision. In particular I really wanted the dinnerware to be mismatched vintage plates. Unfortunately, I was talked out of all this by family and did a wedding vibe that was easier, but I didn't love. My point is, stick with what YOU LOVE! although I have a beautiful marriage, I wish my wedding was beautiful to me when I think about it or look at photos.
My wedding in 2015 was vintage florals, vintage china/tea cups and antique books. We didn’t get a professional photographer and that is my biggest regret.
girl if u dont do a lil second wedding ill cry for the rest of my life, u deserve it 😭
6-year wedding photographer's assistant here: I would vote against the glitter, giiirl.🌼 Whenever bride's ask the photographer's opinion, they always vote against the makeup, so maybe just check with your photographer to see which will work best for the photos.❤
But why
@@caseymama Glitter reflects light back into the camera and makes the pictures difficult to edit and look weird. Additionally, you are likely to be sweating on your wedding day, and this will cause the litter to clump up in less-than-attractive ways.
I was going to say the same. Glitter is cute but can be a royal p.i.t.a. for the photographer if there is a glare from the sun into the glitter in the makeup
As far as hair and makeup goes… I did my own makeup on my wedding day and had a stylist do my hair! I agree with knowing your own face shape and that’s exactly why I wanted to do my own because I know how I like my makeup and I wanted to look like myself!
I think you should do your own makeup and get the professionals to do your hair and they can do touch ups on your makeup. If you do decide to go with professionals for makeup then bring your own products and do a trial where you communicate every thing you want, be specific.
Your hair by the professionals looked A-MA-ZING!! The makeup was too dark for my liking on you, you nailed your makeup.
Another tip is - hire someone to be your helper on the day, sit with them and communicate absolutely everything you want done at your wedding and share your creative ideas with. Because you are styling the wedding and spend so much time on the prep, you have to share your vision with someone who can make all the little (important) things happen for you. Then on the day you will have someone you can rely on who isn’t part of the wedding party. I wish I had done this for my wedding!!
After the wedding, the plate with the dog on it, you can hang that on the wall that has the dog wallpaper!! I think it would be so cute. Absolutely LOVE your videos, Mia!! So excited for your wedding!! 😁
Yes! And maybe have people sign it as a memory piece!
I swear I thought she was going to give that dog plate to Chip for the wedding!!! 🤣
As a wedding photographer myself I hope you booked a really fun photographer. I would suggest having a second or third shooter as well that way you get every little detail. Especially seeing how much time and effort went into every single detail!💛 So so happy for you! Way to go doing your wedding YOUR WAY! That is the only thing that matters is doing what you and Stuart want to do💗
Hair by professionals..and make up by you 👍🏻 I dunno how they managed to make your nose look big when you don’t have a big nose. Lol
I think the sparkle made the look 100% So happy you are doing so much of the wedding details yourself. Your wedding is going to be perfect!
I definitely think that going with the professional for hair and makeup would be less stressful (Plus you could talk with them about going simpler in the back)
but if you want more control over your look on your wedding day by doing your hair and makeup yourself, it would still look amazing!
The makeup done by you was HEAVEN! I get it when you say “you know your face better than anyone” but then again, I haven’t gotten married I don’t know if that would be too stressful.
The hair look done by professionals is much nicer 😅
As someone who got married 7 months ago, my advice would be. Get your makeup and hair done professionally. You dod an INCREDIBLE work on yourself, but getting it done comes down to one less things you have to worry about the day off. Plus it cuts down getting ready time (I was getting my hair and makeup done at the same time by two different people - much faster than doing it myself). Plus the prepping of the skin that an MUA does feels like pampering and helps last a lot longer. My makeup was intact on hour 12 (except lipstick which I had to reapply). It helps you feel calmed and pampered, it's just ONE special day you get to do this, go for it!
It’s crazy how the people I’ve been watching growing up are now getting married. I hope everything goes well for you!:D
I did my own makeup for my wedding and for me that was less stressful than done by a professional because as you said, we know our own faces and exactly how we want it to feel the most beautiful ❤️
Let's appreciate Mia for taking time out to film for us! Wedding planning can be very stressful and to think that she's filming, editing and sewing her dresses is just amazing!
Love you Mia and congratulations once again! 🤍
Re. the makeup, the best thing to do if you’ve got a specific look you want is to take a photo of how you’ve done it on yourself and ask them do duplicate it “but better”. They’ll know the best techniques for keeping it fresh on the day and working with wedding photographers.
They should be able to replicate the look you have created but slightly better and take the stress off of you on the day x
I love this series I actually did most of the things at my wedding by myself, from the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses to decorations and organizing just about everything, I even made my mom's dress, and then did the whole bridal parties make up and myself
Granted we did do a bit of a weekend wedding but when I look back on my photos I know everything is exactly how I wanted it!
I would do your own makeup and get hair done! It's your wedding so if sparkles bring you joy then do it! Everything about this wedding is going to be freakin stunning!
✨💖✨Can’t wait to see Mia’s wedding photos. I feel so invested. It’s like Mia is a distant grand-niece or other sweet relative. I remember coming across her videos years ago when she was a teen, when she had long, manicured nails and lash extensions (?). Mia has grown into such a lovely young lady, so down to earth.
When my hubs and I had our wedding-almost 40 years ago-I made my own wedding veil. Could not find tulle in the off white tone I wanted. I was growing desperate. Being a tea drinker, I got the idea to just brew up enough tea to fit in my large cook pot, and I dyed the tulle in the tea. It was perfect. Honestly, I can’t even remember doing my makeup or hair, but I think there might have been a curling iron mishap. Every worry has since faded, and my husband and I laugh about everything else. Mostly we just have happy memories (I do remember our cake! It was delicious-champagne cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream between the layers, whipped cream frosting, garnished with fresh strawberries and flowers. Otherwise, I couldn’t tell what else we ate.
Let the professionals work their magic for your hair and makeup. Let yourself be pampered with the soft look they created for you.
I think if you're as good at make up as you are - definitely do it yourself - I also believe if you use less you can reapply and reappling makeup is best.
I did my own hair and makeup, and I felt comfortable and confident.
At my daughter's recent wedding all our make up was done professionally -it was relaxing and time to bond, have fun and we looked a million dollars. That said, I did my own make up for my own wedding having practiced from an Elizabeth Arden book. It was great.
Remember when Mia didn't know at all how to sew ? Seriously i'm so pround on how far she come now ! It absolutely show how if you want to do something with enough patience, care and try you can totally learn something ! You go Mia ! I'm so proud of you!
If you choose to do your own makeup, I suggest really good skin prep (hydrating serums and moisturizers), skip out on a primer when you have a good moisturizer (or use a gripping primer). I recommend the glow recipe glow drops and the embryolisse moisturizer. Apply with a brush and the moisturizer sit on your skin a bit before rubbing it into your skin. Let it really absorb before starting your makeup so you have a glow from within! My biggest tip is to Set your makeup in layers (with setting spray). I did my own makeup for my engagement ceremony and I set in between layers like foundation, then concealer/cream contour/blush before moving onto powders and my makeup did NOT move! Don't do glitter for the ceremony, add the glitter for the reception, glitter doesn't photograph well from what I've heard!
Pro tip on how to fix the broken glass vase!! You can sand/file glass smooth and no one will ever know, plus it reduces further chipping. Just get an emery board like for filing nails and smooth it out until you have a new shape you like!
Your makeup and the professional hair is my favorite combo!
I loved the makeup you did! I like the glitter but maybe to a tiny bit on ur eyelids instead of the cheeks. Also I loved editing Mia telling us the blood story lol it felt like a FaceTime call and as someone with a needle phobia I totally relate! I usually pass out when getting blood drawn. Everything looks so gorgeous for the wedding congratulations I’m so excited for y’all! ❤️
I love how positive you are! Such an inspiration! Congratulations to you two on the marriage
When I discovered your channel, it changed my life. You’re truly the most kindest, caring, honest & sweetest person in the whole world 🥹 I am so thankful you have a UA-cam channel that inspires so many people including myself 👏❤️
I’ve said this before but I’m going to say it again! The comment section on Mia’s videos is so beautiful!!!
I love the way you worded this and completely AGREE!!! ❤️
Same here amen to tht what an amazing person and influence, the whole family rlly
Me too! What you consume eventually consumes you... let's have it be wholesome and lovely like Mia's content! xoxo
absolutely LOVING the hair you did on yourself!
if the professionals could replicate that, it would be sooo cute for the wedding.
I'm so excited for the actual wedding!! It's gonna be so fun to see all of this accumulated in one space + her dress and everyone's outfits.
I love how you did your hair the looser and tighter curls give it a fairyish look to it
MAKEUP/HAIR SUGGESTION:
MAKEUP: I suggest doing the makeup yourself with a little help from the professionals.
Keep the eyes light and bright with a little bit of that highlighter glitter/sparkle on the lid (to make it more whimsical).
HAIR: Keep the front curls that you did yourself and get the back of your hair done by the professionals with the flowers.
I loved table setting #1’ also can we just appreciate the fact that she up’cycled most of her wedding. I wish I had the talent so I could have done that with my wedding. I did do you like a lot of natural wood, and wild flowers, made all my candles which was fun and a lot of work, I did thrift the candle jars 🫙 none of them were the same. Also I just want to take a moment to say Mia your kitchen in The studio is absolutely gorgeous.
I let my guest’s take home a lot of like the centerpieces and candles and things like that along with like the little gifts I got them for attending the wedding but a lot of my guest did take like the flowers and a candle and things like that which really helped because then I didn’t have to store it until I sold it and then what was left we ended up donating to brides to be. Brides to be is a place for women who are getting married but don’t have the funds to do a lot of the set ups which was really cool in my opinion.
Honestly the makeup while you did a great job, the pros made it look natural and effortless so absolute your hair and makeup done by pros on the day one less thing to worry about.
I love the way the professional did your makeup. They made your eyeliner lighter and it looked better
Thanks for sharing all of your journey with us, Mia! I was married last year, and here are a couple of "beauty tips" that were shared with me before our day that helped! 1. I loved having my makeup done because it felt like I was being pampered (although the makeup you did for yourself was stunning!) 2. I was advised to choose a lip color that was one shade darker than I would normally go for because it would show up better in photos. 3. Get the lashes! I never ever wear them, but I was glad I wore them on our wedding day because, again, they photograph so well. 4. Ask your mom or someone else in your wedding party to carry a small pressed-powder compact and brush for you to help de-shine your makeup during the reception! Dancing = Sweat = Shine. Have the best time!!!!
Excellent advice! Xx
I personally loved the hair n makeup done by the professionals. It looked so pretty like a slightly more glam version then your usual look which is perfect for a wedding. Plus it’ll be less stress on u on the day
I just hope that on your wedding day you'll hire people to do all your ideas about the table settings, decors etc , and your hair and make-up too so that you can relax in your big day :) i like how the professional hair and make-up did to your hair and make-up 🥰
I love the look you did yourself for hair and makeup. Thinking best of both worlds- take very detailed photos of what you want and have them do it so you’re not as stressed come wedding day.
I loved both of your wedding trial looks! In my opinion you did your own makeup much better (definitely lashes and glitter!!) but I liked the professional hair! I hope you do a wedding video so we can see the full picture of all your planning come together!!
I LOVE the hair and makeup you did! the tiny curls were so pretty. If you think it will be less stressful to get it done professionally, just have them do what you did because it looked so good!
I’ve watched your videos for years and I am SO thankful you are sharing your wedding planning process. I am planning my wedding and you have been incredibly helpful. I would love a q&a. I don’t have any specific questions, but I’d love to see the video!
Thank you!! You've given me so much ideas for my own wedding and please do a q and a!!! It would be so insightful and I think the way you did your own hair and makeup was gorgeous
Mia, you impress the hell outta me. You made your wedding party's outfits. Which is the perfect wedding favor/gift for your wedding party! You are so detailed in every little thing. You are goin above & beyond and you should feel PROUD of yourself! 💜❤
For the hair, I loved the softer, looser ringlets that the professionals did in the front to frame your face, and I preferred what you did in the back.
Mia your own hair and makeup trial was gorgeous, I like what you did with the sparkles too!
I love to find good handleholders at the thriftstore.
Have quite a collection now. I love to burn candles and T lights in fall and winter.
Call it moodlightning.
Let your hair and make up done. Get yourself pampered girl!!!!
Enjoy your weddingday and eliminate extra stress.
Love your weddingcrafting X
Thank you for sharing
It is insane to me how far you have come in your sewing journey and wedding journey! Congratulations, everything looks amazing so far!
💐💐💐
The hair and makeup that you did just seemed more "garden fairy" to me, especially the hair!
Yes exactly
I love watching you DIY stuff for your wedding! I got married 4 years ago and I did my own hair and makeup, made the wedding cake, flower decorations, invites and the wedding favours (handmade recipe books with recipes from my country and my husband's). Don't let people scare you away from doing your hair and makeup, for me it was the best decision and I was super relaxed before the ceremony. In fact the hotel director found me chilling with some guests an hour before the ceremony with just my hair curled and she nervously told me to go get ready hahaha (I was on time).
Professional hair and makeup wedding days are so stressful and you deserve nothing more than to relax and pamper yourself!
My vote:
Do your own makeup. YES SPARKLES.
Get your hair done professionally.
Lovely and beautiful as always!
Hi Mia !! Love love love the hair by the professionals ,it was stunning and I prefer the bigger curls more than the small curls ❤️. The make up in the other hand, I preferred the way you did it because it was more natural, I preferred the more natural eyelashes but maybe if you ask the professional for these things you will look stunning, ily hope you’re doing great❤️
Exactly what I think!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your blood drawing experience! I have fainted/gotten sick so many times during blood draws, and other medical procedures & it's really nice to know I'm not alone. wishing you good health
I was so happy I got mine done professionally. I had so much going on everyone was just everywhere and not having to worry about my hair and makeup was really great. Not to mention nerves might get to you I was definitely shaking thinking about how everyone is going to be looking at us all day. Don’t wanna have to do makeup with all that going on.
Both make up and hair trials were gorgeous!
My faves were the professional hair and your make up version.
Doing your own day of I think is doable as long as you plan accordingly (which I have the confidence in you to do so) 👌🏻
I am new to your channel and love how you showcase all the old skills for your viewers. You enthusiasm is infectious and your mum and dad are ‘legend’s’. Can’t wait to see your wedding dress and I wish you joy and happiness on your big day. 💋
Hey Mia! I’m a bridal hair stylist. If you do end up doing your own hair for your wedding, I would recommend washing your hair the day before, and not putting it up (even in a claw clip) after you wash it. While you are doing your makeup just clip back your hair so it stays out of your face. This way you won’t have any creases or bumps in your hair so it is a lot easier to get your curls to lay the way you want them to! Also, definitely wear fake lashes, they look great in pictures!
I actually liked makeup done by you and please USE THE GLITTER!! It looks gorgeous🤩you deserve it girl!!😄
Also, please tell us what glitter that is!!! 🙏
GLITTER IN THE HAIR THOOOOO
I did my own makeup for my wedding day but had a professional do my hair and I’m so happy that I did it that way! I practiced my makeup look probably 10 times so that the day of the wedding I knew what to do and I was so glad I did that because I wasn’t stressed about it 😊
I am so incredibly proud of you! I am also 23 & currently planning my October wedding and these tips have helped me out a lot as someone who is the primary planner of their own wedding!!
Oh I think the glitter is SO cute. Just another little touch of special.
Mia is just the sweetest ❤ if anyone deserves the perfect wedding it's her
Best advice I ever got for my own wedding was to do your own makeup, it gives you a moment to be with yourself and you know your face the best! 100% think you should do your makeup, it looked beautiful!
I printed the name cards on my Cricut, which was not easy to line each one up. I bought cut flower cut one's they came out really cute. I glued them to corks to keep them from blowing away. I made the seating chart on a picture glass with frame with cut outs on my Cricut. My son and his wife loved it all.
Omg I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the glitter! I feel like it perfectly matches the theme and aesthetic!
I think you should 100% do you own hair and makeup!! You looked STUNNING❤️❤️❤️
Yes, a Q & A would be bomb! I'm gonna be helping to plan my daughter's wedding soon so I need all the inspo you can give. 😁
