Hey Michigan. Good to see ya. It's cool to get into a scrap yard. They are hard to find in my area. China bought all the scrap in the 80s. Thanks for sharing.👍👍🍁

What a neat junkyard, I could spend a whole afternoon there, was hoping to see some 1st gen s10's, BTW I'm pretty certain you already seen it but if not check out The Old man's garage, he's got a badass 78 Monte with a factory 4 speed.

    5:32 Dodge Shelby.
Carol Shelby of Ford put his name & influence on that one dodge car.
    1980 something.
    T-tops intact, rear spoiler intact.
    These cars are collectable now.

I'm not a big fan of chevy but it really is bothersome seeing every dozen chevies sporting SS badges here. You just know its not accurate & some buyer down the road is in for one Doozie of a purchase experience.

      @@MMCGRACING understandable.
I began my muscle car enthusiasm through my brothers. One a truck driver in Alaska who visited & every night was movie night on VHS player while he visited for six whole months. He loved big riggs, old pickup trucks, & harley davidson. HD didn't set well with my parents so I kept to 4 wheels.
Another brother had owned a 1970 mustang without the '69 shoulder scoops. Beautiful Metallic Blue with two super thin pinstripes of bright yellow & red traveling down the sides. And when he took me for a ride around town he really knew how to impress a passenger.
Then he sold it after he drove on an unfamiliar road, rounded a corner, hit gravel & layed her over on her passenger side. Ohhh, what a sweet ride. All I understood at 7 years old was that it was a V8 with 4 in the floor & when he grabbed 2nd gear it was like being in a rocket ship!
Then he purchased a brand new '76 Formula Firebird. Goldrenrod Yellow with all the beautiful yelliw, orange, & red pin striping. And my favorite decal of all the cork screw PONTIAC on the rear spoiler, out to the right of the cool firebird decal.
He had the best looking factory Formula I've ever seen. Though the white 76 formula with shades of blue pin striping is a close 2nd.
The '78 Iroc Z28 in any bright colors a strong 3rd.
Well, the truck driver introduced me to MadMax an Ausie film. He was a real movie buff. He knew so much & enjoyed talking for hours on the subject. To our dad of course. I was a mere lad then. But I was certainly soking up every fact he spoke of. Right up until at the end of the movie he joyfully told me too forget ever owning an xbgt ausie ford falcon because the cost in shipping it to the U.S. in the late 70s was insane money for our tastes. I was 7, I was impressed upon too give up by my mentors. So I did. Until 2014.
But by age 16 my brother was working overseas & had entrusted me to both drive & restore his aging '76 formula.
He gave me the Haynes car manual & refused to ever say another word. I had read it cover to cover 8 times by the time I had to give it back at age 23.
I set out on my own to buy my own TA & kept missing out on all the restored beauties. I eventually purchased a parted out 79 TA that barely functioned properly, yet she had good metal in her. No rust whatsoever.
I had botched the rare paint color by acting it haste too clean her exterior.
Oopsie! Then my brother badgered me too part her out further. To no good end to. I have most of her parts still. And I was all firebirds until 2014.
Turns out the two designers who designed the 1970 & 1971 Torino GT & Cobra with hardtop Sport Roof & the late 1971 Super Cobra for official production to start in 1972 lost to Carol Shelby.
      They didn't give up.
These two genuises traveled to Ford Australia to create the Au Ford Falcon XBGT and many other COOL Au cars.
So, the 1970 & 1971 GT & Cobra cars are the #0 collector card of the 1974 Au Ford Falcon XBGT.
When one buys a used car, buy what you believe you like. Learn from it & if feeling left out after the fact...buy smarter the 2nd time. The 3rd & so on.
This is an important fundamental learning step for each of us.
When one cheats to buys the absolute best car of a particular model, he she cheats themsrlves of the engrained learning process & experience.
If one has family to support, do as you must. For me, I've enjoyed every disappointment & triumph. And skills learned along my personal journey.
