I understand Copart’s policy of “not responsible for damage” because people would be blaming them for preexisting damage. However, that shouldn’t be a free pass for them to be careless and damaging vehicles with the forklift left and right.
Yessss! Currently working on my (new to me) Mitsubishi Lancer! Fun to watch this eclipse come back to life, love the color and style even if automatic transmission
I owned a 97 GST Spyder. 5 speed, red with black top, grey interior. That car was a blast to drive. Hated getting rid of it, but it was not a family car and kid #1 was on the way. This car brings back all those great feelings.
That is correct. You don't tighten control arms until the vehicle is at ride height. If you would have removed the wheels, your idea of attaching it to the rear support first then swinging it up to the spindle would have worked nicely. Then you could have either used another jack to raise the spindle to ride height or put the wheel back on and lower it to apply the final torque.
I've been waiting to subscribe until you got an eclipse to work on! They're very popular older vehicles ( very reliable as well ) and once your familiar with how they're put together, so easy to work on and maintain
I'd not be surprised if the damage came from a tow truck putting hooks around those trailing arms. My son's Toyota Camry had a similar issue done to it by a tow driver yanking it out of a small snowbank. They put the hooks around those trailing arms and folded them right up.
Thoroughly enjoyed the flood-car content Randy! I get why you say this is what you live for. So rewarding to get the cars to running and driving condition again!
as for that truck everyone keeps asking about; make a call to police and tell them about an abandoned car/truck that you think might be stolen, they'll investigate and it'll most likely end up at copart where you most likely will buy it 😂
Can’t wait to see that Infiniti again Randy just finishing catching up on all your videos I had been saving them so I could binge watch them when I have nothing to do.
The car is running great Randy. Those noises are the tensioners probably from the salt water? It does seem to be idling a bit fast but that's nothing serious!!! Good car and a great series!!!
Morning Randy glad the car you fixed the Rear Wheels are fixed and no lights on the dash board be a nice car for nick he should trade for that one nice video
I use a dead blow hammer with wrenches all the time, but the trick is to put the box end on the part you want to turn. The open end is more likely to round off.
Off-topic Randy. I keep seeing videos of Tesla cars driving through a Cemetery, and the screen shows people walking, motorcycles, and odd things day or night. Can you drive your Tesla and see for fun? Your far away fan in Wichita.
Great video Randy, I really love the looks of those Lexus cars you have, sharp looking vehicles! You looked a little tired at the end of the video. Take a break and recharge your yourself! 😊 you deserve it
My Man, I love it!! I would love the opportunity to purchase this if you decide you want to sale!! That’s what my wife zipped around town in when I first met her!!
Yes, there is a small amount of camber adjustment. It’s called “lash and slop.” You can see the eccentric bore on the inner bushing of the lower control arm. Loosen inner bolt on the alignment rack, move with a pry bar till it’s green, tighten to spec.
Sounds like a bad pulley. But those engines you would see in the galant with 200k all the time unless the timing belt took a sht . That truck sounds great 👍
As many cars as you bring to your channel, of course Nick is gonna find another car he likes...i'm sure he's got his eye on at least ONE of those Mustangs.....
EPPS what a ride (lol) interesting fall :) Had to do a control arm on a Pontiac Bonneville bent due to snow storm, about that difficult on the drivers side as well.
3000 RPM at 65 is it shifting into overdrive? Don’t forget there’s a bad pulley/tensioner bearing or something under the hood. You can hear it. Not a big deal. 31:18 also looks like she’s idling at 15 Hundo. All that being said, I would absolutely take it, especially for what you have into it.
I had a 94 hardtop one of those. It was originally blue. Then someone painted it purple then someone else painted it black. It was a stick and totally gutless. But that car will sell quickly. You could probably get 3 grand easy for it. She would spin the tire only because she was such a light car with tiny wheels on it. But she sure turned heads on the Vegas strip and she got me 32 MPG. I lived in Vegas and she was black on black withOUT AC from the factory. She'd get real hot inside. One day I had a lighter in my console with a pack of cigarettes on top of it. I parked her in the parking lot at work and when I got done with work I came back to the car and my cigarettes and lighter were gone. It got so hot in there that the lighter exploded and blew up the pack of smokes. I found pieces of lighter and tobacco everywhere. She'd get so hot inside you couldn't touch the wheel and you had to shift quickly or you'd burn your hand.
Why is the tacho running so high at tick over , engine tick over high or faulty tacko , was it the camera angle or did the control arms inner bushes have adjustment , love the variety of cars
Meanwhile Years into the Future.... "Who in the Hell put these Damn Bolts on SOOO tight!?!?!?!"
I understand Copart’s policy of “not responsible for damage” because people would be blaming them for preexisting damage. However, that shouldn’t be a free pass for them to be careless and damaging vehicles with the forklift left and right.
And if he resells it through copart, I would bet the new ones will get bent, also.
I believe was the Chains in the transport truck bend the rear
Randy's total Eclipse of the ❤️.
It’s gotta be so peaceful and fun working on random rare cars in your own shop playing your favorite music. Love the vids
Can’t play your favorite music because YT will give ya a strike
@@beaublackford3697he isint recording 24/7 days a week is he? 🤦♂️.
@ you can just say 24/7, ( adding days a week is redundant at best- shitty English at worst) yeah I’m that petty
Everyone hates the Mitsubishi? I love that sexy red convertible
Besides the old Chevy, this is probably my favorite of your fleet. Brings back great memories for me personally, so I hope she turns out good🙏🏻
24:17 $400 is WILD for where you’ve gotten this car to today. Great find and great work
Yessss! Currently working on my (new to me) Mitsubishi Lancer! Fun to watch this eclipse come back to life, love the color and style even if automatic transmission
GS-T FWD
GS-X AWD......get one of these!
Keep up the great grind Randy we love to see it! We love what you do, and hope you keep it up!
I owned a 97 GST Spyder. 5 speed, red with black top, grey interior. That car was a blast to drive. Hated getting rid of it, but it was not a family car and kid #1 was on the way.
This car brings back all those great feelings.
I was rooting for this car. I think it’ll clean up nice and will be a nice project car for someone.
I love the purity of the car! It still has the OEM wheels!
That is correct. You don't tighten control arms until the vehicle is at ride height.

I definitely want to see you save some more cars and the future I love videos like this
Thoroughly enjoyed the flood-car content Randy! I get why you say this is what you live for. So rewarding to get the cars to running and driving condition again!

I love this car I can’t wait to see it all cleaned up and back on the road !!!
Back in 97 my friends sister had one of these and I thought it was the coolest car ever. I wanted one for the longest time. I got a Prelude instead.
Randy your full of it. You had a lot of time time to work on these cars. And I don't believe these videos are recent.
I’m sorry I think you confused me for someone who gives a 💩 what you think 😂
Nice work Randy💯 🚘🔧🎬👍🫡
Can’t wait to see that Infiniti again Randy just finishing catching up on all your videos I had been saving them so I could binge watch them when I have nothing to do.
I used to watch your videos before covid. Then I stopped for awhile, now I'm hooked again
The car is running great Randy. Those noises are the tensioners probably from the salt water? It does seem to be idling a bit fast but that's nothing serious!!! Good car and a great series!!!
I think it’s a damn good looking little car just to beat around and put the top down. Enjoy yourself. Hell yeah you didn’t go wrong.
Man I love your videos. I learn so much about cars and all their parts.
I enjoy your repair videos when you are in the shop, great job Randy👍👍
Gst was the turbo front wheel drive, gsx was the turbo awd
Glad you saved this one
Morning Randy glad the car you fixed the Rear Wheels are fixed and no lights on the dash board be a nice car for nick he should trade for that one nice video

This car looks great and is pretty good this car needs a good Bath and a Nice detail outside and inside nothing more
Off-topic Randy. I keep seeing videos of Tesla cars driving through a Cemetery, and the screen shows people walking, motorcycles, and odd things day or night. Can you drive your Tesla and see for fun? Your far away fan in Wichita.
He needs to do a video of that , I have heard that also wonder if it is true or not
Great job, thanks for taking us along, Randy!
Appreciate the way you keep the channel updated for us 🇺🇲🇰🇪
i love the old mitsu. i wish i had it no doubt. and what you paid for it was a super steal.
No randy that ecplise is so beautiful ❤️❤️
man idk, i dont think i have ever seen someone have such a problem with an LCA lmao
You are absolutely correct about the "recent changes." Our economy is going to come back and stronger than ever!
Tell me you don't know anything about economy without saying it. Good luck and thanks for the laughs.
Good Morning Randy
I love it when a plan comes together 😅
Great video Randy, I really love the looks of those Lexus cars you have, sharp looking vehicles! You looked a little tired at the end of the video. Take a break and recharge your yourself! 😊 you deserve it
My Man, I love it!!
I would love the opportunity to purchase this if you decide you want to sale!!

That's a nice eclipse.
Great video. Once again.
I agree with you 💯 I believe that with a good wash polish and a buffing ! The car will be beautiful
Keep that car Randy
Love that car. 99 Eclipse Spyder was my first car.
Love it when Randy wrenches
Nice job getting those pain in the u know what back in
They are easy to remove. No access issues whatsoever.
Good job Randy 😎😎👍👍She is alive 👏👏💯💯
Belt tensioner noise or a pulley on the Mitsubishi? Cavalier would be a good kids first car for a kid.
Please start working on the white mustang again!! I want to see that one come back to life....Love the Mitsubishi, such a fun little car!!
I can’t wait for the INFINITI content‼️
quick iead for the clutch issue ...change the bottem and the top repair kits and smooth sailing
GSX is the AWD turbo you're talking about.
I like these as well.
A pipe wrench would have made installing the arm so much easier..allowing you to twist it to fit
Sounds like a bad pulley. But those engines you would see in the galant with 200k all the time unless the timing belt took a sht . That truck sounds great 👍
Like this little eclipse. Those control arms were destroyed damn! That impala i can’t wait true muscle car
Yup. Eclipse & 9-3saab...just nice
30:28
What is that strange noise?
As many cars as you bring to your channel, of course Nick is gonna find another car he likes...i'm sure he's got his eye on at least ONE of those Mustangs.....
Great car! A dehumidifier would help a lot in your flood cars too!
i can not wait to see you wrench on the cavalier, myself!!
I'd like to see you fix this Eclipse right up Randy,...make her a gem, good content.
you did the same thing to us like jeff dunham did to penut lol ...i like that
EPPS what a ride (lol) interesting fall :)
Had to do a control arm on a Pontiac Bonneville bent due to snow storm, about that difficult on the drivers side as well.
If it aint one thing its another lol 🤣 but glad u musled through it. Looks good. I hurt my hip. Love urs and Mike's vids. Yall keep me entertained.
Everything's a hammer!
That is beautiful car
Why no impact gun? I only recently got a cordless and its a god send of a tool
He has many impact wrenches. I would have used one just to speed things up. I only have one atm but it saves a ton of time.
What a tease about the SS - can't wait - throw a DA on the red Mitsu and she will look brand new except the CoPart Mirror - nice vid - thx for sharing
Sounds like the Pilot Shaft Bearing on the 97 Stang, had the same problem before ! ! !
nice job Randy love your channel
it also sounds like the transmission on the white mustang the synchronizer for the transmission is damaged
I saw your post on the new Ram breaking down, I hope DSCDJR takes care of you! I’m interested in a recap video
glad that's you & not ME, I'd be tryin' to man-handle it into place LOL
Good work Randy. Get that idle down to 800 . It looks like it’s around 1400
Put a jack under the wheel and jack it up some
15:30 the damn son was so funny 😂
Could be there is water in the transmission on the mustang
Bravo on this great video
I’d consider the Red Truck if it was in Terre Haute. Good work and like the videos.
Dude. When ya gonna takesss the trailer hitch off that Clean 57😂
Great video, work and car😃
I love this episode. 💯%

I got dizzy when the camera fell 😂😂
Randy you're the Automotive Angel of Rebuilds. Nice❤
5 for 5 on flood cars! That's really surprising.
I love the drama randy you make UA-cam.

That’s a nice car!! Make her pretty!! My channel is mostly V8 cars! I’ll look for this eclipse when you auction it! Hopefully I win!!
The pilot bearing might be seized up on the white Mustang.
I want it 😫 😩 😍 😋
Hopefully whatever that is on the belt drive that is making all that noise does not lock up and throw the belt.
