I have seen other tutorials making the same hat with the same stitch. You may have came upon this one by yourself like you said but I've seen others doing it and I've been doing it for a long time as well and it is a very very good stitch to use for a very simple hat. Thank you for sharing your version of how to make one smaller because I have not been able to figure out how to make them smaller or how to make them larger. Thank you for the ideas on that

This tutorial was super helpful, and the hat was so easy to make! Only the measurements were a little off with the yarn for the elementary hat. It only went to about my daughter's hairline, so I would recommend making 24--26 chains at the start. The yarn I was using may have been the problem though. Thank you for this video!

I love this easy pattern ,I make tons of these in a worsted yarn so it does taken a little longer to make ,but such a pretty hat with a fur Pom Pom on it and I add my own custom logo ,I use a button on the inside to loop the elastic on the Pom Pom over and then can be removed easily for washing ! Great, simple pattern for a really cute hat! I wish the measurements (in inches, not number of stitches) would have been covered at the beginning of the video...mine ended up being too small for the intended recipient, but his little brother will probably like it! I think I will attach the pom pom with a safety pin, because I don't think those are machine washable...and that seems important for a kids hat! Thank you for the easy to follow instructions.

Have you ever made this with regular 4 ply yarn ? Would that work ? Thanks brunches .....God bless
patricia poole I have but you need to double the yarn. You also will have to adjust the chains and rows to get the right sizes. Have a great day ❤️

Great video! Perfect and quick tutorial for a hat with the Bernat Blanket yarn. I make huge Afghans with that yarn, but would not have thought it would work as a hat. You have proved otherwise!
