- Early on the morning of the night before Christmas Mac and Willow head off towards Cascadia, Oregon just outside Sweet Home to meet up with Jo and Allen, members of the Oregon Offroad Recovery Facebook Group with our 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ. We'll frequently see posts of folks stuck out in the wild and the Oregon Offroad Recovery group will band together and help get folks out and safe (don't mind the snide comments about airing down.) Jo was out and about the other day hunting for grouse and ended up getting her Dodge truck stuck in the mud and halfway over a bank headed for a creek. Jo ended up walking out about 6 miles before someone came along. Now...several days later...we're headed back out and up into the woods - just outside the Willamette National Forest - to unstick the Dodge truck. Allen and Mac came prepared for a snow rescue - we've brought winches, straps and kinetic ropes and we ended up in the mud...and then we found out the truck was overheating and nursed it down the hill bottle feeding the radiator with frequent stops. We got everyone out, safe and just a little bit more muddy! If you go out in the woods be prepared! Know how to find your GPS coordinates on your phone! Take pictures! And most importantly thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!

Great job, its amazing what you can do with a winch, when you have the proper gear to go along with it, and know how to use it. Rope on the axle, Interesting.. Looks like it could get fun out that trail. Thanks
awesome job gang!!!
Well done!
If that's the 5 litre motor I feel for y'all if it's the 4.7 she gonna be alright lol I have a Grand Cherokee limited with the 4.7 she's a beast and soon to be doin recovery work in Dallas TX respect fellas
Id have taken my gold pan with me lol
No kidding!
To slow the noise when running on hwy u double insulation on inside floors and roof and fenderwalls
Street Tire Mud Tip ... throw some snow chains on the front of that Dodge and there is an excellent chance you wouldn't have needed anything else!!!
U guys need to first thing first tires great ones
Looks like some good Elk country.
I always see tracks...deer and bears too.
I carry a small tarp in my jeep for crawling under vehicles in those conditions.
Same! We just never got it out!
Super swampers or buckshot. Run low tire pressure with bead locks
traction boards for xmass....lol
Joes tires aren’t gonna cut it.
Dodge ram needs some tire's if it is going to be playing in the woods with the jeeps and I would have a ball hitch put on the front or tow hooks for a recovery point I've got a ram 97 1500 short bed regular cad flatbed with a winch up front and a winch under my bed and set of BFG all terrain tires it's a awesome woods truck
Yup...Jo was out hunting and got stuck...contacted the Oregon Offroad Recovery FB group and we volunteered to come out and help.
Joe’s truck was so stuck!
And we came expecting a snow recovery and ended up muddy!
Wrong turn out of the Mall parking lot
Do they not sell MUD tires wherever you guys are ? ALL 3 vehicles have straight line highway tires on them where are the super swampers?
My BFG KO2s work great. Lotta highway miles between trails so always best around here to compromise. I never bothered to air down...10 psi fixes most tires.
and new tires.. or i guess not even the right tires in that crap...yuk...
You can get away with anything if you put a winch on it!
@@trashandtrail he was lucky he didn't get on a service road that the forest service locks up for winter..had a few of them before...lol
Is that Al? Nice work guys
