I could see why they would, but i would have loved to see them collaborate more with the dying light team to try and make it officially collaborated in the game so all players consoles and pc could appreciate and enjoy.

Since We Got Nightmare Mode, We need Gun Mods because it makes Firearms more useful such as Elemental Muzzles, Extended Fast Magazines, Long Barrels, Ammo Mods, Scopes, Bayonets ETC.
I really think suppressors would be the best thing they could add to the guns. Also scopes. I rarely use the guns because 1) they're difficult to aim accurately 2) too loud , draws virals right away and 3) bows are way stronger
It sounds like the kind of mod support they want to add is similar to Bethesda's mod support for Fallout 4 and Skyrim. I think having that would make it infinitely more replayable for all platforms, and would be amazing.

Okay nice interview but the flashlight still not being worked on was the most disappointing I've heard. Like the community is asking for it SINCE RELEASE and it should be a WAY higher priority. Yes it might be a harder thing to do, but come on it's a horror game and has the worst flashlight ever. Like it would be a completely different game and atmosphere with a proper flashlight. You can see it in some short scenes in their trailers where it has a more narrow cone of light and casts actual dynamic shadows and it looks like a completely different game and so much more mature and horrific. Also why can't I even see NPCs/other players flashlight??? COME ON TECHLAND, START WORKING AND PRIORITIZING ON IT FINALLY.
I really hope we get a third endgame DLC to see what happens with Aiden. And obviously for DLC 2 to come out this year. Great job Ali, you didn’t let stage fright get the better of you!

I just played nightmare mode today, it's freaking awesome! I did notice the biters are more aggressive and just generally more realistic and scary in their behaviors. I love that we're getting skins for the grapple hook now too! I just got to legend 300 and finished upgrading every blueprint recently and now we have nightmare mode. Every time I think I've done it all in this game they go and add something new. God bless you Techland!
I thought I misheard Tymon.. but he actually said it's not something they are working on right now?? Like how? It's the biggest request by the community since release. U hear and read everyone talking about it since forever. The flashlight is horrible and they finally need to prioritize it..
Im impressed by how these guys really care about the fanbase. They support the players 100% and they are so smart, not like other games where a bad bundle can cost you 15-20$ when you already paid 100$ just a few months before. Instead the normal thing here is 5 bucks for a good bundle. Same when it comes to updates, i dare to say i speak for 90% of all gamers when i say that we all demand and need/want fresh content very often and this is also one thing they done superb, almost every month they put out something for us to do. Even if it's a small event at least they are up to date compare to others. Say for example BF2042, we have to wait at least 5 months between the big updates. Sometime it can take up to 6-7 months. Techland are aware of our demands/wishes and they try to do the best of the situation whole the time. That's the main reason i'm still playing many hours per week 2 years in to this game. When DL2 came out it was my top 1 game, and still this very day i would say it's my top 1 game. Now we got a new cool mode, within 1.5-2 months we will have DLC 2. I just wonder what will come after that ? Really hope they got more fun stuff for us in the future. Ninja bundle/event within 2 weeks ? Seems so!

Great video and interview. Both Dying Light games are top 50 games of all time for me, love them both. Ive been playing the new and improved DL2 for the forst time sone basically launch, and I've been showing my GF the game, and we've been completely addicted to this masterpiece.

Honestly while speaking to him it didn't even feel like 42 minutes had past. @@thegmodguy3411 No I mean everything nightmare mode changes compared to the other difficulty modes (Flashlight dying, no hud, lower immunity, no stamina and health regen, etc etc) It would have been much better if we could have toggled all these parameters on and off independently, instead of being forced to activate all of them, or none of them
Whatever they do, weapon rebalancing and gore tweaks are a must. Dying light one still has more consistent gore and beating up zombies feels better. Yes, dying light 2 now has finishers and of course the graphics of the gore are better. The 3 main things dying light 2 lacks though, smooth combat, especially with one handed weapons, blueprints are costly, both in upgrading the blueprint and building them and the storekeepers never sell anything good except scrap and it's still far too little. I liked the resource management in the first game much better, hope certain things, still can come back.
Ali do you have any hopes of Elyseum being added to official game? I really think DL2 maps are kinda getting boring since the game gives us op parkour equipment and there are not too many parkour related obstacles unlike in Elyseum

I'm on what must be my fith or sixth playthrough been playing since launch and every time I play through it I wish for the same feature the zombie powers rage mode it's the coolest part of aidens whole character and its only used in the story please tech land add it as a rage power we can just activate once it builds up enough i don't even need it to have a side mission explanation like guns did just at a certain point in the story we learn how to do it like walts it would be so cool and if you wanna make a side mission for it maybe he just meets some witch that teaches him to control it i just can't help think how fun it be to have just tearing threw the renegades or bandits or volatile the story clearly wants us to view Aiden as this sub super human monster hybrid but refuses to allow that in his gameplay he's strong but I want that crazy monstrous version of him the story goes so far and works so amazingly to create in the actual gameplay and open world and I really don't want it locked behind a dlc expansion I'd like it it in the base game the way they added guns but if it takes a dlc so be it but I just know it would add so much to the experience it would be such a loved addition to the game its one of the most modded in features I've seen for pc players (unfortunately I'm on console) i really think it would be amazing much love though and appreciate all the content yall give us keep up the amazing work loving the update
I really hope the dlc is single player focused, I don't have friends that play dl2 and having activities that push you to multiplayer when i dislike that a lot is very annoying
I think you could push it even more, tower raid won't be released until mid summer i guess since how Tymon insisted on making that game mode worth our time. DLC2 was delayed 4 times, now that there's no release date and a new game mode coming, i think they will throw a tease of dlc2 early 2025 at the next anniversary.

They need to release their version of Cyberpunk 2.0 before the DLC because that's the only thing that can save that story DLC.
They are in a way doing that by adding new features and changing the existing ones.

Nightmare difficulty changes a lot of things but personally I don’t like all the changes, so I wish we could activate some effects of the nightmare difficulty and deactivate others, but we can’t

No I mean everything nightmare mode changes compared to the other difficulty modes
(Flashlight dying, no hud, lower immunity, no stamina and health regen, etc etc)
It would have been much better if we could have toggled all these parameters on and off independently, instead of being forced to activate all of them, or none of them

Whatever they do, weapon rebalancing and gore tweaks are a must. Dying light one still has more consistent gore and beating up zombies feels better. Yes, dying light 2 now has finishers and of course the graphics of the gore are better. The 3 main things dying light 2 lacks though, smooth combat, especially with one handed weapons, blueprints are costly, both in upgrading the blueprint and building them and the storekeepers never sell anything good except scrap and it's still far too little. I liked the resource management in the first game much better, hope certain things, still can come back.
Ali do you have any hopes of Elyseum being added to official game? I really think DL2 maps are kinda getting boring since the game gives us op parkour equipment and there are not too many parkour related obstacles unlike in Elyseum

I'm on what must be my fith or sixth playthrough been playing since launch and every time I play through it I wish for the same feature the zombie powers rage mode it's the coolest part of aidens whole character and its only used in the story please tech land add it as a rage power we can just activate once it builds up enough i don't even need it to have a side mission explanation like guns did just at a certain point in the story we learn how to do it like walts it would be so cool and if you wanna make a side mission for it maybe he just meets some witch that teaches him to control it i just can't help think how fun it be to have just tearing threw the renegades or bandits or volatile the story clearly wants us to view Aiden as this sub super human monster hybrid but refuses to allow that in his gameplay he's strong but I want that crazy monstrous version of him the story goes so far and works so amazingly to create in the actual gameplay and open world and I really don't want it locked behind a dlc expansion I'd like it it in the base game the way they added guns but if it takes a dlc so be it but I just know it would add so much to the experience it would be such a loved addition to the game its one of the most modded in features I've seen for pc players (unfortunately I'm on console) i really think it would be amazing much love though and appreciate all the content yall give us keep up the amazing work loving the update
I really hope the dlc is single player focused, I don't have friends that play dl2 and having activities that push you to multiplayer when i dislike that a lot is very annoying
In game should be survival skill tree like in dl 1 to give for example faster search enemies body for things
I betcha it won’t release till December of 2024 or January of 2025 I can sense another delay
I think you could push it even more, tower raid won't be released until mid summer i guess since how Tymon insisted on making that game mode worth our time.
DLC2 was delayed 4 times, now that there's no release date and a new game mode coming, i think they will throw a tease of dlc2 early 2025 at the next anniversary.
