To me it's absolutely sickening that the family members of this monster had the unmitigated gall to try to say that he was wrongfully convicted and the "real"killer was still at large,The police department had a tremendous amount of irrefutable evidence. All of it pointed to this monster who masquerades as a person,it didn't point to the phantom .He did it and that's the end of it and he should NEVER get out of prison.

    • @Solonneysa
      @Solonneysa Рік тому +7

As much as the family may be wrong about the killer, they have the right to believe in their son/brother/cousin etc. It's not wrong to believe your family are incapable of murder. It's okay to advocate for someone if you believe they are innocent. Again, there's a lot of information to say he was correctly convicted, but the guy is still family to them, and they probably can't wrap their head around it. I'm just not sure they should be shamed for a reasonable reaction.
Harassing the victim's family is wrong, though.

This was where I live, me and my family and close friends were involved in most of the searches for clues as to where Lindsay had gone. Nothing like this ever happens in our small Lancashire town, so it hit every single one of us quite hard. I remember lying in bed with my sister, late at night watching a movie. Then we heard the sirens, lots and lots of sirens. We both just looked each other and we knew, we knew they’d found her and we knew it probably wasn’t alive.
Her body was found in the cemetery directly behind my childhood home, where I’d spent countless hours as a kid running around with my friends and cousins. It still haunts me how close it was, but the one thing I remember from the entire experience is how the community came together entirely to try and bring her home.
R.I.P Lindsay, your name will be remembered here forever and I’m sorry we were too late 💚🌹

He must have been trying to "pluck up the courage" to do it, hence being startled. But he knew he missed his opportunity & decided not to bottle it for the next woman he saw..

Obviously, I know they said he had attempted to go after a woman right before her, but I was just like, what are the chances that they may know each other? Also, what a coincidence that she works in that area of expertise. You know? Just wondering. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just a thought.

I love Truly Criminal upload days, I look forward to it all week.
As for the case, I don't doubt for a second that he killed Lindsay, there is just simply no evidence of a third party involved.
While I get that no parent wants to believe that their child could do such evil things burying their heads in the sand isn't going to make it all go away.
I think many parents believe that if their child commits a heinous crime such as this and at only 16 is a direct reflection on their parenting so instead of themselves acknowledging that their son did this they are choosing the "innocent, wrongly convicted" path, out of shame or embarrassment, either way, I hope they can one day accept that all the evidence proves his guilty.

What a horrible, senseless murder of this poor woman. My heart goes out to her children. 16! How can a 16 yr old do this.?
On another note, you & your sister( is that correct?), your narrative voices are beyond the best! I am right there, every step of the way. You both show such respect and grace to the victims and the victims families while not glamorizing the killer(s) and your videos are some of the best researched and you don't use stock photos but actual videos, 911 calls and photos of the actual people. Thank you for your care and work you put into these. I wait for your uploads and 9 xs out of 10, I put your Playlist on when I go to sleep and listen to your channel almost every night! My favorite one by far!!❤❤❤

We've only said it since the early 90s when wheels bins were introduced. Before that we said dustbin which were static metal things.

His family needs to be quiet & BFFR!! Let Lindsay rest & her family grieve in peace. 16 years is already a slap in the face. Hopefully they deny his parole every time he goes up for it.

R.I.P. Lindsay Birbeck. 😔🙏 Why did law enforcement essentially disregard such a crucial piece of DNA evidence by not testing the blue recycling bin for ANY DNA such as fingerprints, hair follicles, etc to determine if Lindsay Birbeck's DNA or perpetrator's DNA was on the bin handle or interior of the bin?? A random recycling bin sitting in a wooded region that isn't in proximity to a recycling plant or scrap yard, businesses where you typically see recycling bins should've set off alarm bells for law enforcement to do more investigative follow up for DNA testing & not just ignore it. Why did law enforcement not review additional CCTV footage until AFTER Lindsay Birbeck was found? Lindsay Birbeck was last seen alive on CCTV, so law enforcement failed Lindsay Birbeck by not trying to scour through all of the available CCTV footage to see what else / who else was on the CCTV footage AND also refusing to test the recycling bin from the very beginning.

We do not have "law enforcement" here in the U.K. We are policed by public consent and our police officers uphold the law. They do not enforce it!

Was I the only one who found it interesting they went from being too concerned to release the CCTV at first to protect him to then releasing it and naming him a murder suspect. Quite a jump. I would've thought "person of interest" would've been used, it would still result in his identification.
