Guys I have a noob question. I'm gonna be building my very own pc in the next month or so. Would like to ask what would be the best setup for a $1000 budget? I was actually thinking on building around the ryzen 5 3600, or which do u guys prefer? A Ryzen 3600x? Please do let me know. I want it to be mostlh concentrated around gaming with a little bit of school work. Thank you guys so much in advance.
For just gaming and school work i would recommend: Ryzen 5 3600 (3600x just on sales) Msi b450 tomahawk/mortar max Radeon 5700xt 16gb ram (2x8sticks!) 3000mhz cl15 or 3200mhz 16cl And a ssd for windows This setup will cost you around 1k but if you wanna streaming or raytracing feature you'll pay some more money for a rtx 2060s or 2070. Also video quality will depend on your monitor too dont forget that (resolution and hz)
it works fine bro. i have a r5 3600 b450m ds3h 1660super. just dont oc and its fine. all b450 mobos serve the same purpose. its just a matter of oc and not to oc.
@@randomjack477 it works, but I’d reccomended going with something more expensive since the B450M-A II has headers in bad positions, and doesn’t have a USB C header. The fan headers are also in bad positions so wiring your fans is not fun. The motherboard has no lights to tell you if something is going wrong, and is constantly being illuminated orange

I am surprised he didn't say anything about the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX, and it is not listed in his Tier breakdown-only the first edition b450 Tomahawk. The newer MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX has larger heatsinks on the VRM's and also will go up 4,133 Mhz. RAM where as the first edition only went up to 3,466 Mhz. The MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX has a larger BIOS chip also than the previous edtion. Both editions of the Tomahawk have very robust 4+2 VRM's as well and has gotten rave reviews and some consider the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX as the top choice for durability as well, even over a lot of the new x570 motherboards. Personally, I would recommend the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX as the best board out of all b450's.
I want to build the volt v3 this summer but now I'm confused because you say that msi b450m pro m2-max is really bad.Should I go then for the AsRock b450m pro 4 ?

I have the Asrock B450 HDV Rel 4.0 motherboard for $60, absolutely no problem with my Ryzen 3 2200G and I expect no problems with future APUs. Officially it is specified for a TDP of 105 Watt, but maybe that is somewhat optimistic.
My Z-170-A has been on the fritz lately, so I now have an excuse to switch to Ryzen. Just ordered the ASRock Gaming K4 and a Ryzen 5 3600. Won't arrive until next month, but it'll be worth it.
I bought an Asus B450m gaming BR motherboard, which is an Asus intermediate board, it was defective with 6 months of use, with great difficulty and after two attempts on the site and several calls, I was able to open a repair request, RMA number: BRB3M10258. My card went to repair, spent almost a month there and returned with the same defect, all they did was update the card's BIOS. I have already informed Asus that my card returned with the same defect. Conclusion, I have been without a computer since January. I expected much more from Asus. Disappointed! I hope I don't need to go to court, much delay and delay to solve the problem.

Some motherboards support 2nd gen but not 3rd gen unless you do a bios update. I think b450 motherboards and up all support 2nd gen ryzen though, but some b350 might only support 1st gen ryzen out of the box. (Though I'm not sure if 3000 series APU counts as 2nd or 3rd gen ryzen as it is a generation behind in architecture)

I just got the b450 tuf pro gaming. And it was ryzen 3000 ready im really enjoying it👌
So you would recommend b450 tuf pro? I’m thinking about getting it
@@hazzmati yes its a really good board for its price i have overclocked my cpu on it no issues its a solid board in my opinion👍
I buy my new mobo (b450 steel legend) and ofc the day after you post this...just my luck...I think the steel legend is good enough anyway
Its absolutely fine
@@yashadityasehgal2305 good to hear
it’s Awesome, it Have Features Most of Them Don’t And Vrm Are Great Too / Great buy
B450M Pro4 - 3 phases with parts doubled to look like 6, 2 hi-side mosfets, 2 lo-side mosfets per phase, heatsink is kinda small ...
B450M Steel - 4 phases, 1 hi-side, 2 lo-side per phase... so a bit better than above model (hi-side mosfets aren't that critical) .. heatsink may be a bit better
Let’s go I’ve been waiting for this I’ve got my Ryzen 3 3200 but couldn’t really find a compatible motherboard
Just bought the tuf gaming plus mobo this is still ok right? Il trying to overclock my r5 1600 af to 3.8 ghz with stock cooler. What volts do I need?
@@icedoutshef My asus b450 isn't too bad. About 2 years old now and works okay with a 2700 at 3.9ghz.
@@icedoutshef Only issue I found with my b450 - too small. Hard to fit in my wifi card with GPU (580)
For just gaming and school work i would recommend:
Ryzen 5 3600 (3600x just on sales)
Msi b450 tomahawk/mortar max
Radeon 5700xt
16gb ram (2x8sticks!) 3000mhz cl15 or 3200mhz 16cl
And a ssd for windows
This setup will cost you around 1k but if you wanna streaming or raytracing feature you'll pay some more money for a rtx 2060s or 2070. Also video quality will depend on your monitor too dont forget that (resolution and hz)
Ay got my steel legend for the quarantine pc
@valorfishy yup
@Merijn koppes did you have to flash the bios? I have a ryzen 3600 and want the steel legend too
@@arielagustin8526 yeah please answer, I'm also having a ryzen 5 3500

I love my ps4
@The God of War lmao
Ps4 is nice
Would the B450-DS3H be fine with a R5-3600/GTX 1070? i dont plan on doing any overclocking, just want something to get the job done.
it works fine bro. i have a r5 3600 b450m ds3h 1660super. just dont oc and its fine. all b450 mobos serve the same purpose. its just a matter of oc and not to oc.
I got the tomahawk max. I'm happy with it
Does it come with WiFi built in?
I bought the Gigabyte b450m Aorus Elite for my brother's build. He got the Ryzen 5 1600 and the RX 580. For an $85 board it was perfect
im building a pc soon and LITERALLY EVERY b450 motherboard is sold out
SAME BRO WHAT EVEN IS THIS
Reader HighGuy two months later hope u got one
Cheesy Poofers Had to go X470. Too difficult to get B450 in my location
I personally like the Asus b450m-a ii. It has bios flashback which means you can update the bios without the cpu just in case it isn’t up to scratch
How's the motherboard working???
@@rohitkumar-jv9ym i bought one last month, it's pretty great
I am planning to buy the same, please let me know if you faced any issues so far with the mobo, thanks
I'm heart broken the dude dissed my full ATX steel legend. How could u when she's so pretty
@@icedoutshef even with the "bad" VRMS I have my r7 1700 clocked at 4.1 GHz on air and base clock is 3GHZ. So does it really matter.
@@icedoutshef if you were going for a 3950x why would you pair it with a B450 motherboard?
@@icedoutshef I'm at 67°C after a few hours of gaming on my pretty b450 steel legend full ATX which the guy in the video said was trash and over priced. Voltage is 1.22 stock is 1.85 I think
You can overclock easily with the Steel Legend. Having no thermal issues at all .-.
Had immense problems with the Asus ROG tho...
Was literally just looking online for good amd motherboards
Nice

Just an FYI, those "CHA" fan headers stand for Chassis, not Channel......unless I've been reading my motherboard manuals wrong......
Beautifully explained. Thank
If your gonna overclock, my advice is dont go with Gigabyte, their bios is literal garbo because of that Dynamic v core thing and its a pain to get the exact voltage you want
So an MSI or Asrock will do the trick?
pls bump up the saturation or vibrance, and ur videos will be even more awesome!
Thank you very much for the guide it was really helpful because i just want to buy a asus tuf b450 but.... now im going with msi b450 gaming plus thank you very much again
I can personally recommend the Asus Strix B450-f gaming mobo. It’s solid for me and I haven’t had an issue
Does it support ryzen 3000 and 3600mhz ram?
I got the Aorus B450M. I like it. I'm not the type to who overclocks anyway so it was a pretty solid choice for me all under my budget
Will the asrock b450m pro4 work with a ryzen 3600 out the box?
Check the CPU support list and see if it's there, or if you're lazy, check Amazon reviews

is it worth building a computer now? i’m planning on building a new ryzen machine, but don’t know if i should just wait for b550. Hey man, great video. Would you say the MSI B450M MORTAR MAX is better than the MSI B450 GAMING PLUS MAX?
3:05 i love how its for a Ryzen 7 2700x because my birthday is coming up and i also will be getting christmas money and i need a new MOBO for my 2700x :)
Im surprised i have a fellow here
Every time I make a pc built on PC part picker for a motherboard it says there might be an issue. I want to use a AMD Ryzen 3 3200G someone help me
Some motherboards support 2nd gen but not 3rd gen unless you do a bios update. I think b450 motherboards and up all support 2nd gen ryzen though, but some b350 might only support 1st gen ryzen out of the box. (Though I'm not sure if 3000 series APU counts as 2nd or 3rd gen ryzen as it is a generation behind in architecture)
I’m doing my first pc build, but I’m wondering if the ASRock he reviewed at 2:24 is compatible with ddr4 ram, a ryzen 5 3400 cpu, and if I need a WiFi adapter for it
hye man, great video first of all, btw, just curious, im planning to upgrade my processor from the motherboard B450 AORUS M from ryzen 5 3400g to suitable ryzen 9,so.. is it compatible? can u suggest which processor may be compatible for this model, as i have seen one of the box model in ur video
