I apologize for the submarine audio quality. I've learned better now from making this video.
Does anyone have any shotgun mic recommendations?
Can you do best moniters for under200
The difference between the pro4 and the pro4f is that the pro4 has usb 3.1 gen 2 as well as one usb type c port whereas the pro4f has usb 3.1 gen 1 and only usb type a ports.
Shotgun mics, well depends how much you want to spend. Any of the rode 'ntg' series will get the job done, the ntg1 is around 175-190$. Whereas the ntg4 is upwards of 225$. Personally I love the sound of the ntg3, powerful low end, lovely mids and crisp highs.
Oooh thank you!!
So I've been looking at 400+, the diety s2+ and Azden SGM-3500L look appealing but that super expensive Sennheiser MKH416 would be my permanent microphone for forever if I got it. The Rode NTG3 looks like the option I might want if I don't want to spend MKH416 money
I just want something clear and highlights the lows in my voice since the AT875R can't capture the warmth in my voice.
Yes, this is one of the things i needed the most for my PC build. Thank you ScatterVolt.

I can give big recommendations for the Asrock B450m pro 4 and the Asrock B450m Steel Legend. Me and a friend use them and have had no issues. Great value for money and they look good too

The DS3H is still a great board. I use it w/o oc with a 3600 and everything runs smooth af.
@@MrDgt66 are there any good boards apart from the tomahawk that u can recommend?
Happy owner of the Gigabyte B450M DS3H and I gotta say it is a good motherboard. Only "issue" I had is it doesn't have enough fan headers for my needs, but the average first time builder probably won't have more than 2-3 fans.
Does it come with wifi built in ?
Those boards have a 60%+ failure rate. I myself had 2 of them just die and black screen on me. Gigabyte is aware of issues with them
@@anthonylong5870 gigabyte aorus elite have same issue ???
I am using an Asus B450 Prime Plus and am very happy with it. Not overclocking or anything and it's been great so far.
I have this one too and it's the same for me. I made a light oc on my ryzen 1700 at 3.8ghz and the cpu is pulling around 100-105 watts. Still I am not so sure if those are the vrm sensors but I don't think I ever got over 60-65 degrees with them if the sensor I checked with hwinfo was the right one. Plus I enjoy the sobriety of this mb compared to all of those overtly flashy ones
This is exactly why I subscribed. Scatter stay in that grind thank you 🙏🏾
You forgot the b450 gaming pro carbon, I have it and it's an amazing board! It came perfectly with the moving too last year, because I had to use wireless internet in my new room
I did, I was too glamoured by the tomahawk and gaming plus.
@@ScatterVolt :( I suppose it's a bit more expensive than the rest
@@Zeusbeer it is, but it comes with all the extra better parts the alot of the expensive boards sometimes miss, to start with the far better audio chip, and the intel ethernet controller + AC wifi, Alot of the mid 150 Boards and 100 don´t have that.
@@ScatterVolt Can it overclock??
@@ScatterVoltHi there, what about the Msi x470 gaming plus max?, it's 96€ while the x450 tomahawk max is around 125€ . I would have thought the x470 would be more expensive, is there any difference between them? What would you recommend between the 2 ?
Great vid! Id like to add that you can easily buy a 40mm fan and solve these vrm problems that seem to really hamper most b450 mobos. Usually the problems are because they dont have enough fins on the heatsink or they put a giant plastic shroud right on top of it.
Building my part list atm and motherboards are something I cannot get my head around, this has helped me out a load so thank you boss!
Just what I needed for my very first PC build ever, with a Ryzen 2600 for Gaming,Premiere Pro and Blender/3Ds Max! Amazing Job buddy
Thank you scattervolt, I was about to buy the one with 1 fan header without realising and then get 3 fans, now I’m getting the ASRock Pro4, this video was super helpful
Don't forget about fan splitters
ScatterVolt oh I forget about fan splitters 😅
I’m near a microcenter so the pro 4 is actually only 60 with a cpu so it’s an even better deal
Ooh yes

I moved from Aorus x470 Ultra Gaming to Asus Rog Strix x470-f and no regrets at all. My pc's performance went higher, higher cpu OC and ram oc and a stable cpu undervolt. Highly recommend ❤️
This video just got it's relevance back. B450 will support Zen 3 CPU's. Side note, I have a Gigabyte B450I running an AMD 3600 at 4.3ghz on all cores. Solid little board for the price.
Love my B450 Aorus Elite. Its been solid for the last 18 or so months. Actually I love the entire system its all been pretty epic with a lot of room for upgrades as an when.

This is the perfect video for me, thanks for making this b450m mega review
cannot wait to finish build my first entry level pc
The B450-F gaming is so underrated and underrepresented. It looks great and works really well for a great price (where I live and compared to other boards) but it never gets the praise it deserves.
So it actually may be my motherboard after all causing me issues when I run my ram at rated speeds
Don't be surprised if it doesn't like the RAM you're using. Lots of the older boards will need a BIOS upgrade for RAM compatibility and some will not work at all even after the upgrade. I tried 4 different motherboards and 3 different RAM manufacturers before trying the BIOS upgrade. They all had problems until the BIOS upgrade.
thanks for the great video i picked the b450 pro 4 before i seen you video it's in my cart with the ryzen 3200g processor and i feel much better about my choice in motherboards after watching you video oddly enough i looked at most boards you showed and landed on pro 4
Msi b450 carbon pro max WIFI got introduced I'm wait for that one
That's a good one I missed
Yeah im waiting for the max version to come out. If you know any info id love to hear about it
I can vouch for this board. It has been a delight since I bought it and it has better VRMs than some of the budget X470 and even X570. ALSO, it already comes Ryzen 3000 ready these days!
Ali Balaghi when will it come out ? And what would be the cost of the motherboard
A max version? That's interesting
Good stuff man. Learning a lot. I hope you do something similar for all major components.
Personally I've built my pc with the AORUS elite, lovely board, 3system fan headers. All the fandangle you will need for some light overclocking.
The rev 1 right? Im also planning on getting one
Hey man thanks for recommendation!
Did you get a M2 SSD? What they like? I'm considering this heavily due to build quality and not overclocking as I didn't utilize my board in the last CPU.
Thanks For The Vid Man . Now I Know What Parts To Get For My PC

Something I was looking for when buying a MB was Ryzen 3 gen support out of the box. Some of your choices don't have that. If you don't have a lower tier CPU to use to update the bios its a factor.
All of these should be bios updated if you check recent customer reviews. That was only an issue back in July 2019.
Was literally just looking online for good amd motherboards
Nice
I am surprised he didn't say anything about the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX, and it is not listed in his Tier breakdown-only the first edition b450 Tomahawk.
The newer MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX has larger heatsinks on the VRM's and also will go up 4,133 Mhz. RAM where as the first edition only went up to 3,466 Mhz.
The MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX has a larger BIOS chip also than the previous edtion.
Both editions of the Tomahawk have very robust 4+2 VRM's as well and has gotten rave reviews and some consider the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX as the top choice for durability as well, even over a lot of the new x570 motherboards.
Personally, I would recommend the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX as the best board out of all b450's.

Hey great channel just subscribed! I'm new to the PC building world and have been looking for the msi b450 gaming plus max..unfortunately seems they are all on back order & tough find..so I'm opting to the x470 gaming plus max $110 USD. Any idea why the x470 is easier to find and cheaper...? Does it have to do with not having a bios button...or cooling factors issues? I saw a comparison video, but it just looks like the x470 would come out on top....your thoughts?
I love your channel i learned a lot from it. Im planning to build a budget gaming pc using the Ryzen 3 3200g and i want to know what are good motherboards for that processor
Just watch the video and see which boards fits your liking
Thnx it really helped a lot
The fan headers labeled CHAFAN are not "channel" fan headers....they're CHASSIS fan headers (for case fans).
I've got three B450 boards. Asrock b450M pro 4, Asrock B450 Fatality ITX, Gigabyte B450M-DS3H. All were (relatively) cheap and have been flawless in use.
Not many people will tell you this, but the 450M Pro 4 has 12V RGB AND 5v ARGB headers. Also, it has 2 cpu fan headers and 3 chassis fan headers, more than any other MATX board.
Good video. Is the ASUS TUF B450 gaming a good board? It’s on offer where I live.
Just an FYI, those "CHA" fan headers stand for Chassis, not Channel......unless I've been reading my motherboard manuals wrong......
